lilygirl81 · 14/10/2015 09:31

congratulations jo and Vitalite*

I asked DH what he would like me to do if I get a BFP while he is away, and he eventually came down to probably just wait until we saw each other again, he was supposed to say call me immediately!!!

Jaffacakey · 14/10/2015 10:33

Well I guess I am out, the witch has turned up 2 days early.

Congratulations to all with BFPs and good luck to everyone waiting to test!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 14/10/2015 11:53

Hi Robbins there's a few of us now ttc number 4. Glad I'm not the only crazy one haha

Bluebell20 · 14/10/2015 14:53

Congrats Jo & vitalite!

I bought (my very first!) pregnancy tests on my way home from work today. Not due to test for another 10 days, but I'm away with work on days 8 & 9, and have people coming to stay on day 10, so wanted to make sure that I had them in stock just in case! Sort of hoping AF doesn't arrive before then even if it is negative, because I am quite looking forward to taking this first test... It will make the 'we're trying for a baby' seem more real :)

MrsNuckyT · 14/10/2015 15:20

Congrats to all the BFPs.

I'm pretty sure that I'm out and hopping onto the November bus when it sets off. Have some quite weird cramping today and even some unusual CM but two tests (CBAFM and FR) have come back negative without even the faintest of lines.

Am starting to get quite down about this and feel it's never going to happen again. That was cycle 6 and we've done some really good BD'ing at the most opportune moments.

Urgh. Feeling so deflated.

lilygirl81 · 14/10/2015 15:50

Having a bit of a panic. For a few reasons, it looks like there are going to be huge changes in the company I work for, and while my job will most likely be safe, it is unlikely I'm going to want to stay. But, that's going to mean I don't qualify for maternity pay isn't it, if I get my BFP before I started at a new place.
There is an opportunity coming up in the next 3 months or so that I would be an idiot to miss, so I think I might actually have to have a break ttc, I'm so confused about how I feel right now Sad

MrsNuckyT · 14/10/2015 16:46

Lily I guess it depends how generous the current maternity terms are. If they are very generous I would seriously consider staying and looking for something fresh when an opportunity comes up.

Companies have various different rules around how long you have to be there and it is hard to second guess the requirements before you join (assuming you want more than just statutory leave). Also, would you want to start a new job (even if you have been there long enough) and then be THAT WOMAN who started just a few months back and now wants a year off?!

Good luck with the decision making. It's a toughie!

lilygirl81 · 14/10/2015 17:35

mrsnucky my current job only offers the statutory, so the only real difference would be losing 6 weeks at 90% pay. For a number of reasons, I don't think the going off for a year would be seen too badly. Still, a lot to consider! Don't need to make a choice yet I guess

Bluebell20 · 14/10/2015 17:43

Chat it over with your DP lily and see where you get. If the only difference is 6 weeks @ 90% then that doesn't sound too bad to me - but it depends on your financial situation, of course.

Bear in mind, too, that if you did start a new job in 3 months' time, you'd have already been working in it for a minimum of 6 months (half a year!!!) before needing to take maternity leave. And that's if you get upduffed this month! I think that's a perfectly reasonable amount of time to spend in a new job before taking maternity leave. And anyway, it's your right! You really do not have to make decisions about your family based on guilt/sense of loyalty to a company. Make them about finances, yes, if needs be - but please don't put your life on hold for a company! :)

wantingno2 · 14/10/2015 17:52

Bluebell20 · 14/10/2015 17:53

By the way, girls, I am currently symptom spotting like crazy... For the last two hours I have had a little pulse of mild pain every so often on my right hand side, but I'm sure it's too high up... To the right of my belly button, really. I know I am just noticing because I want to be noticing... But for those of you who've experienced it, what does implantation pain feel like, and where do you feel it?!

Bluebell20 · 14/10/2015 17:54

Awwwwwwwh congratulations wanting!

wantingno2 · 14/10/2015 17:56

Thank you I'm so happy dud have a little cry this morning when af arrived but we will just have to do it like rabbits everyday when af pisses off x

MrsNuckyT · 14/10/2015 18:09

Congrats wanting

I'm also gutted about AF!

Bluebell - I think implantation pain is actually quite rare. I certainly didn't feel it last time. Then again I barely had any symptoms at all until I started to show!

Loki17 · 14/10/2015 18:55

Congratulations wanting! Lovely bling too!

CD5 here. Waiting for af to lighten up as it has been very heavy this cycle. I think that is just me getting back to normal after the implant being removed though.

JoMalones · 14/10/2015 20:01
