Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Lol neetie is a warm belly a new symptom?! Grin

neetie1 · 14/09/2015 20:44

Yes very...

LittleAindy · 14/09/2015 21:47

Ooh Neetie unless you've gorged on a 5 course meal, I'd say a warm belly is indication of 'activity' going on down there!!

Just when I felt I was in a good place with TTC, my sister announces she's 8 wks pregnant with her second! Mini meltdown yesterday to say the least Sad I feel bad because I know I should be happy for her, but she got pg on her first month of trying. She smugly says about how easy it's been both times, here's me on a form of chemo meds to control rheumatoid arthritis and then she says "maybe you shouldn't have kids if you need joints replacing" that on top of my next door neighbour informing me that when we lost out DD1 last xmas at 21 weeks due to her tangling herself in umbilical cord she wasn't actually ever going to be a real baby... She's 50 with 4 kids.. Don't think she could really understand where I'm at. Just having a blah day, hard to shake off feeling sad. Hoping everyone else is doing better than me, sorry for the vent!

LittleAindy · 15/09/2015 12:41

guiltily reaches out and waves hand from underneath a mountain of wrappers "Save. Me..."

MummyBex1985 · 15/09/2015 12:41

tay vent away! It sounds like she knows you are trying so that was pretty insensitive of her. Easily done when you fall PG at the drop of a hat.

Prty I may be rebuilding the chocolate mountain and diving in head first, cramps have turned into crippling stomach pain Sad

If anyone needs me, I'll be sat in the corner with my head in a vat of wine. You're all welcome to share.

LittleAindy · 15/09/2015 12:46

Oh Tay, that's dreadful. I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Some people absolutely astound me with what they find acceptable to even think, let alone say out loud. Big hugs for you Flowers

No need to apologise for sharing. This is the best place for it.

Where are you at with TTC? xx

LittleAindy · 15/09/2015 12:53

digs around in pockets and pulls out 2 soft and slightly misshapen Celebrations - here you go Tay and Bex

Whose turn is it to bring the treats? Don't tell me we're abstaining now...

tay13 · 15/09/2015 13:00

Aindy I've been TTC for 9 months, but my husband is doing his officer training at the moment so very hit and miss when we get to see each other. I really want to give up yet I am on a limited time due to health and meds. Knee replacement booked for the end of next month so trying to focus on that but insensitive people do my head in, so called friends have been ditched lol.

I'll provide treats if you like, fancy doing a bit of baking between making curtains! Smile

So glad to be able to vent with people who understand it isn't easy TTC. We move in March, keep saying to DH that I hope it's a case of new house and then get lucky with a baby... But March seems an awfully long way off..

Ellamorella · 15/09/2015 14:16

sneaks in and dumps a giant bag of pic'n'mix on the floor!

tay sorry to hear about the preggo announcement from your sister. Your time will come! This is a lucky thread after all!

I'm still spotting, but this month it is brown, not pink like last month, and I just got a black stringy clot when wiping. TMI, sorry! I'm now, of course, hoping this is IB. I guess I'll know tomorrow, which is when my spotting turned from spotting to AF last month. This waiting game is so hard because there is genuinely a chance it could be IB of course, but I spoose the odds are it's not.

Oh well, if it's not, I have my acupuncture on Friday, and as Emma Cannon says in the BMB (Baby Making Bible), I have created really good fertile ground this month, ready for next month. I've been so good, eating healthily, not drinking coffee, cut down on alcohol a lot. Hardly any chocolate!!

For those of you that have bought the BMB, what do you think of it? nibbles fingers nervously, I hope you're liking it as much as I am!

BindiBarbarella · 15/09/2015 14:24

Hello everyone - can I join? First month TTC. I've a 16mnth old DD and we didn't TTC for her - she was a bit of a surprise! So this is all new to me. I'm on CD 13 and no positive OPK yet.

Stripes1983 · 15/09/2015 17:04

Afternoon all tay sounds like you have had a rough time of it and so have every right to rant! ella fx it is IB and bex fx it's not AF ! prty how you doing ?
I've had a pretty shit day at work , know it all woman and felt shattered! One of my good friends has a perfect little baby bump starting too and I'm thrilled for her as she did her time so to speak but want it to be me too !! Fertile window over apparently, don't feel like I had any ov symptoms so no idea what's going on , got my blood tests on Monday though bindi welcome to the foofland !!

Pirsy1 · 15/09/2015 17:37

Hi lovely ladies!

Welcome Tay and Bindi. Tay I did my first 11 months TTC in a long distance relationship and I think it does make it really hard when you're not seeing each other a lot. It does make it really frustrating though, because even though you know you'd have to be really lucky to get pregnant you still keep thinking why isn't it happening?!

Ella I'll keep my fx for good news.

Bex you've been cramping for a while now, if it is going to be AF hopefully she comes and goes soon.

Aindy are you feeling better today?

Stripes - I know what you mean about friends who are pregnant, you're happy for them, but at the same time it makes you want it more.

I am CD11 today. Feeling bloated but don't think it's anything exciting - I just feel bloated a lot. No idea when I'm ovulating, but if this month is the same as this month should be this week. Im hoping DH will come up with the goods tonight and I've set a handy reminder on his iPad for him for later Wink

tay13 · 15/09/2015 18:38

Thanks everyone, really perked me up today Smile

pirsy I got pregnant after 15 months TTC last July, we were long distance then too - but I must have got pregnant just after my Dad died, so DD1 was a very special baby now with my Dad no doubt wherever they are.
PCOS doesn't help, I keep thinking if it's happened once then it can again - however since then I have had chemo treatment which comes with a fertility warning... Not quite ready for the reality if they say no chance Confused

Keeping my fx for everyone.

Cheering myself up making DH a present for our 2nd wedding anniversary next Monday Smile distraction technique well and truly occuring at the mo

SharyBobbins · 15/09/2015 19:08

Sorry Prty I was lying in a chocolate induced coma in the corner waiting for this damn AF to bugger off! It's turned in to a weird brown watery discharge (sorry ladies!) & won't leave me alone!

Hello Bindi, nice to meet you! Stick around if you can these ladies are lovely :)

Hi Tay, I'm sorry to hear your sister has been so insensitive. Does she know you're ttc? Is she usually that sharp with her tongue? As for your neighbour- words fail me. She sounds like a bit of a bitch if I'm honest Confused.

Ella, the book hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping it does before the weekend.

Pirsy, I'm intrigued about the iPad reminder! Is it a picture of you looking hot?

Pirsy1 · 15/09/2015 19:32

Shary I haven't put that much effort into it unfortunately, but I will keep that up my sleeve for next month. It's just a typed reminder that says erm 'Banging with Pirsy' ... I've set it to go off at 21:00.

LittleAindy · 15/09/2015 19:33

sneaks out all the fizzy pic n mix whilst others are distracted making dinner

Hahahaha, iPad nudes alarm. Genius!

Ella No book for me yet. I'm going to get it as a pick me up present when AF arrives. Mega Fx for you tomorrow!!

Pirsy just generally weepy atm, along with tiredness, sore boobs, back and pelvic cramps, a bit of nausea. I would love to get excited about such symptoms but I have learned the hard way that these are all thanks to a great big hormonal surge after ovulating. It all fits. Good luck with DTD - are the iPad alarms a bit like Pavlovian conditioning...? Wink

Stripes you've just made my day with Foofland! Grin

Welcome Bindi! frantic wave

Tay best of luck for you. You deserve some good news!

Ellamorella · 15/09/2015 19:45

Hi all,

I'm just on my way to my first Qigong lesson! Hopefully I'll feel good afterwards! Am super super tired yesterday and today, think the spotting/AF is taking it out of me. Plus, with AF back, think I've gone into a mini coma of tiredness. I don't have to hold the fort any more, kind of thing. I'll report back on Qigong for any of you thinking of it after reading the BMB!

Sorry not to respond to anyone individually. On bumpy bus! Hugs to all!

PrtyPsn · 15/09/2015 20:44

(looks startled as thread suddenly fills up right as she was taking a naked alluring selfie for an iPad reminder)
Pahahaha foofland!! Is it weird that my iPhone now autocorrects 'food' into 'foof'??
tay that sounds like an awful neighbour to have! Well done for not punching her in her face then saying it doesn't matter cos it's not a real face anyway disclaimer - this is what I would have done!
Feeling the sting of family announcements here too, have a chocolate, my dear (whips out a handful of king size chocolate bars and fans them out like a deck of cards)
bindi you are very welcome here, my lovely :)
shary mine took ages to bugger off this month but now I'm back on the horse OH :) it will pass
ella book hasn't arrived yet, can't wait though!
stripes I'm not too bad, just wishing my fertile window would hurry up!!
aindy you take all the chocolate you need and bex too (remodels the wrappers into a comfy bed)

MummyBex1985 · 15/09/2015 20:55

Lol I love the iPad reminder. I might try that one Grin

Stripes1983 · 15/09/2015 21:12

prty nothing is weird on this thread ! Outside this thread maybe :)
Q - how long after ov can you get symptoms ? Not for me of courseWink as I'm a total crazy symptom spotter cool cat !!

LittleAindy · 15/09/2015 21:54

lobs 10 packets of 1p late night bargain donuts into the room

Prty "Don't worry cos it's not a real face anyway"... crying here. Oh god. Grin

Go on, Stripes give us some symptoms. Ovia told me my sore nips might be a 'sign'. It is WAY too soon (and HIGHLY unlikely) for me if I was right with that OPK. Apparently implantation is 6-12 days after Ov'ing, which is when the hormones and symptoms start.

Stripes1983 · 15/09/2015 22:21

Ah ok totally no chance then , just been feeling really sick the last 3 evenings , I think it's probably because I've got a bad back but then the craziness started to creep in !!

PrtyPsn · 15/09/2015 22:24

OMG love a good rake in supermarket reductions after 8pm lol!
Hmm I've heard/read/imagined that symptoms can start as soon as fertilisation as your body knows it's carrying a potential baby... hence chemical pregnancies - testing before implantation can give a positive result only for egg to not attach so clearly your hormones etc can alter pretty quick... not 100% though so might be worth researching... I know some people say symptoms don't start til after implantation
