Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Hahhaaaaa Katy I'm also hiding my obsession from mr moo. He's in the other room working so I'm good for the time being (until match if the day starts, which I have to admit to also loving).

Perhaps I should add that I am not at all sure all my bits are in working order due to some very serious and aggressive abdominal surgery (fertility bits unrelated) when I was 30. I guess if nothing happens this month I shall take myself to the GP and start the prodding. Feel my joy.

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 22:00

Must say I ain't heard Clay and the gang talking about CM, crazy foofs and sore boobs. So clearly TTCers are more hardcore.

Shall definitely keep you updated. Have to go to work after the appointment for my 2nd day of INSET training so hopefully it's not too upsetting or that'll be a fun day! Hmm

Ooh thought of another symptom I've been obsessed with - weeing! I can usually go when I get up at 5.30am for work and won't often go till I get back from work at 5pm ish but for the past couple weeks it's been at least hourly and a couple times during the night (which I never do). It's only been 3 weeks of TTC and I'm obsessed already!

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:28

I made it!! Phew! Is this where we all hang out now?
I had Dominos for tea..... (don't forget we agreed no judgement!). I think this was OHs way of trying to cheer me up as I'm a right mardy cow today. I have no idea why. His word when he came home were "are you still feeling delicate?" which was a nice way of saying "should I still be cautious of you shouting at me and/or crying for no reason?". This was as a result of me standing in the bathroom this morning pointing out every fresh spot on my stupid face saying "this is what happens when you come off the pill and I don't even have a baby to show for it".....!!!

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 22:29

katietatie the first month after you withdraw from BC is the worst - you basically get every PG symptom aside from a bloody baby!

Wonder it's nice to see someone else in the same boat! I always said I'd never ever ever do it again after a traumatic birth with my DD... Up until 12 months ago that is! Lol.

(I'm told it's a natural response to my biological clock ticking) Hmm

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 22:31

Ooh shary I also had dominos. And wine.

Back on the wagon tomorrow, using the bank holiday to cook and freeze plenty of healthy food for the week and ditching the vino. Maybe even permanently if I can cling into the wagon hard enough! Wink

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 22:36

Bex after a lack of a withdrawl bleed and reading way too many posts and sites about people coming off BC and falling pregnant immediately I think I convinced myself that the symptoms were more than just withdrawl! Rubbish!!

Shary "feeling delicate?" made me giggle. Rather sensitive (and amusing) way to ask about it haha

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:41

Oooh Bex! My cycles are that crap I can't have a cycle buddy so do you want to be my take away twin?! Lol!
Back to work for me on Tuesday so going to order a healthy shop tomorrow I think. Being off work is really bad for me- to much time to overthink and eat crap!

On a side note does anyone know what's going on with the talk app? I'm sure I read somewhere they are launching a new one. Could do with the app for when I'm in work!!

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:43

Katy OH made it sound like I was hungover not a hormonal mess!

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 22:49

Shary I'm also back to work on Tuesday (and after putting on about 10lbs on holiday) so it's back to healthy eating for me too! You don't by any chance work in a school?

themoo · 30/08/2015 22:55

I am a bit jealous of all your dominos mmmmmmmm pizza

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 23:13

Just had a week off with OH Katy. It was allegedly my fertile week but honestly that is a complete coincidence. I did not take the week off work to DTD!

Stripes1983 · 30/08/2015 23:44

Welcomes newbies ! I'm 31 ( 32 in 3 days but clinging on to that year as long as poss!) ttc #1 , been trying since feb but picked up the pace the last 3/4 months and dabbled ( unsuccessfully) with OPK's , have moments of complete " I'm breezy"ness and then moments of overwhelming craziness :)

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 07:41

Morning lovelies!
Glad to see you've hoped over shary welcome to our new pad! 'Feeling delicate' if my OH had said that I'd probably have snapped 'Just say giant bitch cos that's what you mean!!' But then I am a giant bitch!
(calls down from the wagon) you want a have getting up here bex? Top tip - fake alcohol is your friend, you still get to kick back with a bottle of 'beer' or a glass of 'wine' it takes a little adjustment re: taste but the relaxation works just the same for me - I even make an effort to call it beer to fool myself lol!

Annie2311 · 31/08/2015 08:35

Ooh, I like the new place. And lots of new friends! hangs foof shaped piñata and bashes it til Cadbury's creme eggs fall out

New thread stats for me are...
Age 33, TTC #1, Cycle 5, DBAFD 8, Tea last night, goulash.

Having symptoms that I've had at various points in all the other months (sore boobs, spots, tummy ache, queasiness) but experience tells me not to let them fool me! I'm trying to see it like our bodies get ready to have a baby every month and it usually ends in AF so it's just doing the normal thing it does at this time. That's what I'm telling myself anyway!

MummyBex1985 · 31/08/2015 08:42

Prty the becks blue worked pretty well for me during my last dry stint but I'm a wine/prosecco drinker usually and there is no decent substitute for that Sad The waitrose version of alcohol free red wine tastes like the leftover residue from a jar of pickled beetroot - bleugh!

The fruity alcohol free ciders are nice though so agree they could be a good substitute.

Day one on the wagon, let's see how long that lasts lol

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 08:59

Ooh stats!!
Age 29, ttc #1, cycle 5, DBAFD 11.
Temperature rose again this morning (by a whopping 0.1 degree Blush). I think I'm either 3 or 4 dpo. Starting to feel nervous about bloods being taken this week (but reminding myself I want to give birth in the near future so I need to man up)!

PrtyPsn · 31/08/2015 09:30

Oooo annie did you make that piñata yourself?? (hoards the Creme Eggs)
bex Schloer do a 'Celebration' range, fizzy white and rose fake wine - it's no prosecco but the bubbles make it feel more realistic, you even get to pop a cork lol!

Ellamorella · 31/08/2015 10:07

Hi everyone! waves
I'm jumping on board from the last thread!

My stats: age 38, TTC (on and off) 1 year, have ds aged 8, on CD 8, DBAFD 18 (ish), 25 day cycle

I've been attempting to overhaul my diet since reading The Baby Making Bible, not supposed to eat refined wheat, dairy, alcohol, coffee... Have succeeded on coffee only, but cut down on most others. Am staying with FIL and MIL at the mo, so don't want to put the out with my weird dietary requirements!

Prty, sorry you think you missed your window this month, but maybe symptoms tell you otherwise!! Having read up quite a bit this month, I wouldn't trust your app for fertile window. The best way you'll have of knowing will be to PCOS, EWCM and temp all month, for three months, and you might see pattern. Although if the PCOS is freaking you out, maybe leave that bit out?! (Have I got the PCOS right? I mean ovulation sticks!!)

Welcome all newbies!!

wonder and Bex nice to have some TTCs in the same boat! Smile

Pirsy1 · 31/08/2015 10:15

Hi,

Can I please join this thread too? I am 32 and TTC #1. We have been trying for a year now but for 11 months of that I have been working away during the week so don't think we always got to 'try' at the right times ifyswim.

I also have PCOS but have been using OPKs and tracking my periods and Im pretty confident I do ovulate once a month. I don't temp as I think it would send me over the edge.

Anyway, this has been my first month trying since moving back permanently. We had sex every other day up until a couple of days after the positive OPK - maybe I should have kept it going longer? But it was hard work and I felt like a bit of a pest to my husband!

I CONVINCED myself I was pregnant this month. I ovulated on our anniversary weekend, and just thought it would be fate to get pregnant then ... I had 'symptoms': nausea, heightened sense of smell - actually got woken up by the smell of the reed diffuser in the en suite bathroom last night. So was actually shocked to get a negative test on a FRER this morning on FMU at 10 dpo. I really thought it was going to be positive. I think that's me out. The packaging says something like 87% women will get a positive at 10 dpo. I'll just wait for AF to come and start again next month!

Ohhhh and dinner last night was chicken dippers and chips - just really fancied it. Also had a small glass of white wine as was thinking it might be my last chance as I was going to get a positive pregnancy test this morning. I'll finish the bottle tonight!

themoo · 31/08/2015 10:43

Morning all.
I'm still laughing at the foof piñata.

Another night of weirdly vivid dreams for me. That's about a week in a row now.
Rubbish to hear of your BFN pirsy - but 10dpo might be a little early so you never know!

neetie1 · 31/08/2015 11:41

Ooh new thread....
Hi all new peeps...
Am 43 TTC#1 married for 1 year with DH for 10 years...two dogs lol
Think it must be month 4 of trying nothing as yet.
Currently on day 3 of af though weirdly still feeling sick until I eat something and have very tight tummy and backache..

themoo · 31/08/2015 12:18

Ugh, well I'm out this month. Negative hpt at 13dpo, cd 25. Some very slight spotting today so I guess af is on her way, the big cowbag.
goes off to sulk

gemgems2214 · 31/08/2015 13:28

Hello.. sorry for jumping in but I need some help.
I came off the pill in may and had a period every month until this month. I had bloods done by Gynaecologist on 12th August and it showed I ovulated and my testosterone is slightly high but he is not concerned. I have had a negative test every morning since Friday including today but no period at all. I have cramps and sore breasts and white discharge. Surely I would of got a positive by now? Could anyone shed some light?
Thanks xxSmile

Pirsy1 · 31/08/2015 13:29

Ahhhh moo I'm sorry! Fingers crossed for September and have a glass of my wine!

Honestly, how do people manage to do this by accident?!

Pirsy1 · 31/08/2015 13:36

Hi gem, just saw your message after I posted. So to confirm ovulation think bloods are usually done 1 week after predicted date of ovulation - mid luteal phase. So would mean your predicted date of ovulation would have been 5th August and you should have expected AF 19th August? Does that sound right with your cycle? I agree you probably would have expected a positive test by now but you do hear about ladies not getting positive tests until sometime after AF is due. I would suggest do another test in 1 week if AF hasn't shown up. Good luck!
