Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Oh Cori Flowers for you and dd.

YouBastardSockBalls · 22/09/2015 22:49

Oh Cori I'm so so sorry to hear that Flowers

Illiria · 23/09/2015 05:10

So sorry to hear that cori

Lil yay 12 eggs, all the best.

My last of the clomid tonight, after last nights awful hot flushes it cannot come soon enough. If this doesn't work I might need a month off to recover.

oneyorkshirepud · 23/09/2015 07:07

Gx for you today Lil!

ChatEnOeuf · 23/09/2015 07:08

Eek, Lil, hope there's some lovely strong embryos for you later. I fucking love science!

Cori I'm sorry for your DD Flowers It's difficult to advise. Waiting can take an age, medical management can be unsuccessful, surgical involves an op and the recovery isn't necessarily any quicker. I've had natural MC and surgical management (for a ?molar), they weren't massively different.

Hope the clomid does its thing Ill.

Fluffy are you going to POAS again or leave it for a bit?

OP posts:
fruitlovingmonkey · 23/09/2015 07:34

cori I'm so sorry Flowers how far along was she? I had medical management at 12 weeks and I would not recommend it at that stage. I'd definitely take the surgical option knowing what I know now.

LondonGirl83 · 23/09/2015 07:44

Oh cori that terrible. Very sorry to hear what's happened to your DD Flowers

bellybuttonfluffy · 23/09/2015 07:49

Sad awful news cori, hope your DD is doing okay in the circumstances Flowers I have no useful advice I'm afraid.

Chat ordered another lot of ICs, so will test when they arrive, perhaps today. My relaxed approach this cycle is out of the window now and I've been using OPKs in the hope I hadn't even ovulated yet. Will be back on the temping after this cycle. The appointment I have for next month for the gynaecologist, is mainly for looking at my irregular cycles. Will they want me to be temping in the attempt of trying to track my cycle? Or will they accept I don't have the foggiest idea what is going on?

jellypi3 · 23/09/2015 08:08

cori so sorry to hear your news Flowers a lot of people find the miscarriage boards on here a lot of help.

let's hope Mr lil's swimmers did their 'thang' last night in that petri dish! Keeping all my gingers, fingers and toes crossed for you lil!

FeatheredTail · 23/09/2015 08:47

Sorry to hear that Cori, your poor dd. I can only speak from my experience of a natural mc, but the waiting for it to start was extremely grim. And then once it had started I just wanted it to be over - but carried on for 5 weeks. If it happened again I might be tempted to consider d+c if it was an option but I guess there is no easy way.

Keep I'm feeling a bit better today, thanks for asking! All I've been able to stomach the last couple of days is ham salad sandwiches and clear broth soup, but I managed breakfast today, which is a breakthrough!

FeatheredTail · 23/09/2015 09:20

*breakfast was 'light' white toast. With ham and cucumber and tomato.

ChatEnOeuf · 23/09/2015 10:51

I'm sure they will take your word for it fluffy. Then orders bloods and scans. At a guess. I don't remember much gynae from med school :)

Morning all.
So of the 12 we have 5 that have fertilised, possibly a 6th which is showing some signs but she's going to check it again later. And so the waiting continues for tomorrow's call. Feeling mixed. Glad a decent number fertilised but disappointed it was less than last time when we had more eggs. All were ivf this time though so I guess in theory they should be better. I dunno.

cori so sorry for you and your DD. I also can't offer much as I was "only" 5weeks when I miscarried, though I knew about 4days before it was going to happen. The wait for me was short but that bit of time gave me a chance to come to terms with what was going to happen.

JellyBaby26 · 23/09/2015 11:59

I'm joining you ladies, it that is ok!

Ill be honest i haven't yet read all 53 threads or 36 pages of this one, i just know..i want in!

Trying for number 2, sat here now with 17 week old on my lap, covered in sick and not having slept, its not too early for gin is it?

I short DD "wasn't compatible with life" according to her hospital notes, but so far she's stuck two mini fingers up at the NHS and is still here. DH & I have made a v risky decision to try again but its what we want to do.

will be poas on 1st Oct unless that whore of a relative gets to me first, hope not though as my banjo had a right cold at the weekend.

anyway, thats me hello

Keepatit · 23/09/2015 11:59

So sorry cori Flowers Sad

Gx for u lil! Have they said why there is a chance it is less than last time? I know it's hard but try to stay positive -you've got 5 fertilised which is a bloody good start! Star

Glad you are feeling a bit better feathered Grin have you not been able to stomach food due to nausea / morning sickness?

No news at my end. AF due this coming Monday so we will see. Although I've normally got hurty nips by now Hmm feeling positive though. Which I hate, because it makes it more tough when the witch arrives.

fluffy gx for POAS!

Keepatit · 23/09/2015 12:01

Welcome jellybaby !

JellyBaby26 · 23/09/2015 12:32

Im on mat leave so expect many posts from over here!

SockQueen · 23/09/2015 12:44

So sorry for you and your DD, cori

Fluffy - I don't think they're that bothered about temping etc, the RCOG doesn't rate it much so I doubt they'll be expecting you to keep a record. If you have a list of your period dates that might be helpful.

YouBastardSockBalls · 23/09/2015 13:09

Sounds good lil, good luck with the next stage!

lildottie · 23/09/2015 15:13

In house porn news my en suite is being done this week. Pics will be on fb when it's done.

honeysucklejasmine · 23/09/2015 17:37

justtheonethen · 23/09/2015 17:57

ChatEnOeuf · 23/09/2015 18:05

Evening viroids

I am so sodding tired. I have been for the past few days though - both nights this week I've fallen asleep pretty early in the sofa and still struggling to wake up in a morning. please hooyah me... This could be a symptom!

Also, think I posted up about the potential options / choices we may have to make once we are going through the FC. Not sure if anyone here could help but I'm going to ask anyway...

Icsi or whatever it is called, takes my eggs and kickstarts 2 X embryos (from my understanding). So my question is - if the first works, can they freeze the second for in case we would like another child?!

I may have completely misunderstood how it works. I've always said I'd like 3 children, DH happy with 2 which we settled on and after chatting last night we've said we would be fine with the one. But if there's a chance we could have two, minus the stress we've had this year, I'd like to take it.

my nips are still not hurting
