Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

5hell, dogs don't have a clue what's going on. He loves the attention, but it's more for us that we want to celebrate it, even though he is spoiled most days so we don't need an excuse!

just roast chicken dinner here. Got a whole chicken in the slow cooker at the moment. Got the in-laws coming, so I'm panicing that one chicken won't feed all 5 adults. Got butternut squash soup with bread rolls for starter. Chicken, steamed cabbage, carrots, potato croquettes and homemade yorkies for dinner. MIL is bringing dessert.

I enjoy a mini quiche for a packed lunch. There was a great recipe for slimming world ones made with cottage cheese and cooked in muffin cases.

justtheonethen · 06/09/2015 13:43

Yum to roast dinner not got energy to cook one though, that sounds like plenty if you have three courses. Not a major quiche fan.

YogaPants · 06/09/2015 13:58

I am getting roast chicken envy fluffy that sounds lovely.

Home made pizza here. It's not fast good, if you make it yourself, right?

Niçoise salads are one of my favourite packed lunches. I put the vinaigrette in a bit of cling film and twist it at the top so that I can add it right before eating.

jellypi3 · 06/09/2015 14:00

Fruit I'm 19+3 and we've not dtd (or anything remotely sexual) since my bfp. For me it was (and still kind of is) the tiredness, it's cripples me!

FeatheredTail · 06/09/2015 14:01

Still travelling home from the wedding, but planning on making a a wholesome chicken soup when home: chicken thighs, leeks, carrots, pearl barley and a squeeze of lemon. Crusty buttered rolls. MMM.

CarrotPuff · 06/09/2015 15:03

Attempting a fish pie tonight...

oneyorkshirepud · 06/09/2015 15:20

Spaghetti bold for tea tonight. Salad and sushi for lunch this week (health kick).

5hell · 06/09/2015 15:21

have just made lots of fresh tomato sauce, so dinner will be something based around that...maybe sausage casserole, or maybe just pasta

ChatEnOeuf · 06/09/2015 15:52

Salmon risotto for us, with either peas or asparagus depending on what the market man has.

No way are you 11w already 5hell!

Packed lunches at work I have sandwiches unless there's a microwave, then I take leftovers, mostly pasta.

Lil pics once finished? I love good house porn :)

Snap Carrot. DP made 3 fish pies last week (first time he's done it himself, but I was too busy being exhausted on the sofa). Ours is made with plaice, salmon and smoked haddock, then a layer of fat king prawns, and finished with mash creamed with the fishy poaching milk. Yum!

In other news, DP got a shag today...only the 3rd since BFP 9 weeks ago Blush

justtheonethen · 06/09/2015 16:47

Hurrah for shags tea!

I have spag bol in freezer, think ill have that with a shit load of cheese

justtheonethen · 06/09/2015 16:48

Some yummy dinners, thanks for inspiration for rest of week!

MyBlackCat · 06/09/2015 16:52

Congratulations feathered gx for a sticky one.

No idea what I'm doing for tea - just got in from work and not much choice. Our freezer broke a few days ago and I had to throw everything out Sad

fruitlovingmonkey · 06/09/2015 17:26

Thanks viroids, glad I'm not the only one avoiding shagging. Fluffy I won't last 9 months, two weeks has been difficult!
black that is so annoying, what a waste.
Posh shop bought spinach and ricotta ravioli and kale salad. Really want fish pie now though, I must learn how to make it.

Ain626 · 06/09/2015 17:44

yoga I say book it. I've booked a week at the end of july/beginning of August (camping at the scout/guide international jamboree!) but secretly hoping I won't be able to make it and will lose my deposit. If I put off booking holidays 'in case' I wouldn't have gone on my Croatian cruise or to the states a couple of weeks ago... I sincerely hope that you will get your BFP, but I went on the theory that I'd rather lose a deposit and gain a baby then have no holiday and no baby... If that makes sense...

Who was it making roast chicken? Was it fluffy? Whoever it was I have total roast dinner envy. I don't have a roast very often, but after reading the post about the roast chicken I'm really feeling it! We're having a bolognese for dinner. Mostly because I really can't be bothered and it's from my stash of pre-made meals from where I did a bunch of bulk cooking a few weeks ago.

I'm currently catching up on GBBO! I'm really behind. Actually, I'm so far behind I've only just watched the first two episodes and am currently on the third, so it's binge watching. I'm feeling inspired to bake though. It's been a while since I did any baking.

In other news I am a bit spotty today. I don't normally get spots other than the odd one here and there, but this morning I had several. I also have a 'wet' feeling, but when I actually checked I'm not actually that wet...?

pretzelpieces · 06/09/2015 18:04

Congratulations feathered! I am so pleased for you.

CarrotPuff · 06/09/2015 18:36

Tea your pie sounds lush, this is my first ever attempt so not that posh. DP doesn't like mash so I've put a layer of thinly sliced potatoes instead. now they are taking their time to cook! I really hope I don't ruin it...

Yoga I agree with Ain, better to lose money but not be able to fly because of baby, than no baby and no holiday.

justtheonethen · 06/09/2015 19:09

Ooh yummy carrot I did one with a rosti top that was delicious.

bellybuttonfluffy · 06/09/2015 19:34

To all those with envy, the roast chicken was delicious! Grin It's not quite a roast chicken, as it doesn't go in the oven. I stick to what I know, and you can't mess up by cooking it in the slow cooker. Nothing added, and it ends up the juiciest chicken ever! Everyone was very complimentary and the homemade yorkies ended up huge!!

Yoga how do you do your pizza? I love pizza!! I also say book the flights, assuming you won't lose out too much money if you have to cancel.

Keepatit · 06/09/2015 19:47

Evening viroids! Hope you've all had a good weekend... I need to read back and catch up but just thought I'd say hi!
Well, as you's know- AF arrived on Thursday (properly) it appears she has done one all ready!

FeatheredTail · 06/09/2015 20:02

Yoga - book the holiday. I wish I hadn't taken a possible pregnancy into account when booking hols this year. If you have to cancel, you'll be delighted (unless you lose a shed load of money on any deposits) Wink

Mmmm glad your roast was a success Fluffy!

Wish I had some pudding.

JustMeAndHim · 06/09/2015 21:46

Viroids can anyone help with this...

My cycle has been an absolute mess since coming off the pill. It was 34 days for a few months and I thought it had settled down but then last month was 38 days. I'm not beginning to think what if I'm not even ovulating when I think I am. We have sex regularly but not eod standards.

I'm on cd 34 today and nothing. Should I be focussing on dtd eod or start using opk's? I think DH wouldn't be as keen on opk's because we are supposed to be relaxed and seeing what happens. I guess that just feels like a step up!? Any suggestions welcome.

JustMeAndHim · 06/09/2015 21:46

Argh that should say I'm beginning, not I'm not beginning!

YogaPants · 06/09/2015 21:58

justmeandhim sounds like me! No advice really. Wait and see what you are feeling like around day 38?

fluffy I make the jamie oliver base below. Half recipe for 3-4 bases.

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/recipe/pizza-dough/#7ZWepbaIz9OvZcJ1.97

Toppings tonight were ham & pineapple and salami & Gorgonzola.

justtheonethen · 06/09/2015 22:12

I would say use opks if you don't want to do eod. I find it reassuring.
