Seekingmiracles · 29/10/2015 12:00

Morning Ladies,
Thanks for all your kind words on Monday. Just about feel better now.
The waiting is the worst part.... I hope the humira has brought your tnf down Trying - when do you get the results back?
Good luck today Snoopy, hope all is well! Nearly out of the 1st trimester.
Hope your bleed stops soon SW - our bodies are very weird sometimes.
I'm officially back at cd1... I've felt awful the last couple of days - so emotional.I've been crying at everything!!
Hope everyone is ok Smile

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2015 12:10

Bless u seeking! Af is always a bugger regardless of this ttc. And then ttc on top is just too much. Get cuddles from doggie!! And I hope ur lucky this cycle. Be strong.

Snoopy gosh! U will be fine, sure bean is doing well ;)

Tnf retest 9th Nov and then a week or so for results. I'm terrified dh sperm has gone to zero while we have been messing around with my tnf. I want to get him to do another frozen sample but I think it's a bit ott and we have enough plus he can't get time off work for now. Need to chill out and go on holiday again! Haha

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/10/2015 16:58

Hello. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and support. Everything good, the jellyfish measured another day ahead so 11+1. I got told off for not telling my GP yet haha

seeking I'm getting so impatient on your behalf because we know the treatment works for you and all you're waiting for is that perfect little egg. I know you mentioned this isn't long for you, how long do usually take to conceive?

trying fingers crossed for good results. You really deserve it. How is DH feeling?

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2015 17:15

yap whoop congrats :) hope u can enjoy ur preg now (at least for today!). this tx seems to work for so many women, i don't know why it didn't for me.....oh well.

dh is up and down. was up for a while and seems like he's on his way back down. just hope we cycle soon, like seeking said waiting is the worst!

x

Drttc · 29/10/2015 17:37

Amazing news Snoopy!!! Yay!!

Aww Trying - really hope you can cycle soon as well. Feels like we've spent our whole lives (well recent times) just waiting- which is a crap way to see things :(

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/10/2015 17:38

It will work for you trying. You have the gift of perseverance and from all the pages and pages of reading I've done that seems to be the key. So many 'experts' agree that the couples that can find the strength to keep going are the ones that make it.

The waiting is so hard and I guess you don't have the option of just getting on with things because ARGC is so intensive. But keep in mind they get amazing results and (I know it's a cliche) but you have time in your side as well.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/10/2015 17:40

Thanks drttc. I really feel like all the support I get here has made a huge difference x

Seekingmiracles · 29/10/2015 17:42

Loveley news Snoopy - now call your gp wink!

It's been 3,4,4 and then 5months between each mc and the next bfp. So I hope i have some luck in the coming months.

Seekingmiracles · 29/10/2015 17:44

well that wink should have been Wink!!
Trying you will get there if you keep strong and like Snoopy says, perseverance is key!

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2015 17:48

ur correct snoopy! i def have perseverance just hope DH does too. sorry i didn't meant to take away from ur amazing news just having a bad day!

hope u and ur dh (and bean) sleep well tonight :)

Hula2 · 29/10/2015 18:01

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/10/2015 18:59

Never apologise trying, we can talk about anything here and you've picked me up plenty of times when I'm having a bad day.

thanks hula.

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2015 19:04

So now what happens snoopy? When do u see mr s again? Are u coming off steroids now? And when is ur final iltralipid? :)

Tryingno1 · 29/10/2015 19:04

And when are u telling ur family!

sunnyday01 · 30/10/2015 06:37

Fab news snoopy, so happy for you. Get yourself down to your gp so you can get your nhs 12 week scan etc done!

Hopefully you can start to relax a bit - easier saud then done though - I still have good weejs and bad weeks. I've got a 28 week growth scan ne t week and I'm worried already plus baby keeps changing how much he/she is moving each day which is also worrying! However my midwife and the hospital have been Excelkent and they know I'm extra anxious because if my history.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 30/10/2015 12:02

I'm on 25 mg for the next week and then have to start weaning but that will take nearly another three weeks. Next intralipids in two weeks.

Anyone who's had experience of steroids, is it normal to be so hungry all the time? I'm constantly stuffing my face but can't really taste anything properly. I've git such a huge jelly belly now.

Well I told my mum when I got back from holiday. I've always told her straight away anyway. She's been great, spoken to doctors when I just couldn't face it. She's actually calling the GP for me today.

DH asked after eight week scan if he could tell his mum and I said of course but not sure if he has. I always feel like such a failure in front of her, she managed to get pregnant with him on the pill!

Apart from that only one other person knows, she's a friend at work and I had to tell her so I could go to my appointments.

Do you think I should tell my new line manager on Monday? I don't want to be the problem child but I guess at some point it's going to have to become official.

sunnyday01 · 30/10/2015 13:09

I was eating all the time on the steroids - couldn't get enough carbs, however as I started weaning off them my appetite returned to normal and my weight gain slowed down. I'm still struggling to eat eat lad and vegetables, luckily I have been ok with fruit!

Personally I woud tell your line manager - my line manager and hr dept have been great with letting me have time off etc and working at home, working less hours etc when needed.

Drttc · 31/10/2015 11:49

Currently sitting getting intralipids in the new surrey clinic. You sit by other ladies while you're being treated and I'm so tempted to have a natter! Of course I know it's rude but sharing make me feel better. :( loll

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 31/10/2015 15:07

drttc it's weird isn't it. obviously everyone knows why we're all there but we were all staring at the floor, walls, magazines, anything to avoid eye contact.

Hula2 · 31/10/2015 20:46

That ll be me on wednesday ! Better make sure i ve got plenty of reading material. Funny thing is we could be sitting next to one of us ladies on here and not know it.

Drttc · 01/11/2015 12:19

I think we'd know if we were next to each... At least I like to think so! Word of warning: I WILL talk to you if I think you're from this thread :-P

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 01/11/2015 14:21

Haha we could have a code word!

hula I don't know if drttc's experience was similar but I've found the two times I've done it at the clinic it really helped turning up early so I was the first to go in and get hooked up.

Started to get worried about tomorrow. I keep running over what I'm going to say, it'll be the first time I say 'I'm p...' out loud.

Drttc · 01/11/2015 14:27

Code word: Mumsnet ;) As in 'Hmm is there free wifi? Need to log on to Mumsnet...' Haha- so subtle I know!

Oh Snoopy that's so exciting! I understand how nervous it might make you. Will feel great to get it out though.

Seekingmiracles · 01/11/2015 18:58

I think i'd speak to people too...i'd find it weird not to. Bt then I do work in an environment where i talk strangers all day!

You'll be fine Snoopy, you are PREGNANT, say it out loud, get used to it Smile. You may even feel relieved when the NHS bit is done and dusted.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekends. Why do weekends go sooo much quicker than any two days mid week!!
