Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

Hey girls just took a test BFN :( but I think I got my monthly period finally as I'm in lots of pain with cramps and it's proper blood :) hopefully I'm back to normal and can TTC when finished

Shankate sorry for the BFN but fingers crossed your cycles are back to normal it's such a pain not knowing what's going on after the pill isn't it I stopped in Sept and my cycles are still a mess x

I'm been drove mad thinking it was implantation bleeding all happy I didn't know what going on tbh but hope to God it is normal I haven't stopped bleeding since I came off it so hopefully I get no period next Month an am pregnant lol even my app on my phone is fried over stopping and starting so hope to God it's normal

Hi everyone - big happy new year to you all! I have family coming over soon but wanted to ask you all a quick question. Feeling very deflated that my CB digi OPKs have been negative every morning (for the past 5 days). However, been using my IC OPKs in the afternoon and they have been getting progressively darker. I have attached a photo of today's one (though I am aware this is obviously still not a positive yet). Why would my ICs be detecting a slight LH surge but the CB is coming back negative? Feeling very confused by it all! Googling has led me to believe that perhaps I should be using the CB ones mid afternoon too, even though it suggests using them with fmu! Help!! Been dtd lots over the hols and (even tho it's been fun ) would be gutted if it's not given me the slightest possibility of a Bfp xx

bug Internet cheapie ovulation prediction kit (cheap sticks to pee on obsessively!!!!)

cn I am on cycle 3, CD9. Praying for a vaguely normal length cycle this time! 77 days drove me nuts! I would be delighted with anything in the 30s!!! I have started cheap opks already this cycle. Feel they give me a bit of control (celebrated like crazy when I got a positive on cd62 and 63) and some idea when AF might come!!!

Cookie that's odd, I have got high and peak readings from CB using them with FMU as per the instructions, I think you can have a low LH reading all the way through your cycle which could be what the IC's are picking up? Are you dipping the CB's or using them in stream? Maybe they're not getting enough urine to pick up a reading? I always used them in stream.

Chapman hope you had a great time in NY! No matter if you didn't DTD that much so long as you had a good time.

It only takes one round of dtd for one to catch First, I hope your cycle shortens. I was exactly the same as you a couple of months ago but now I think I'm regulating into a cycle between 33-37 days. Have you tried Agnus Castus? I really feel it's helped me immensely! Since taking it once a day my cycles have gone down from 55 days to 34 days!

Well today someone will have to peel me from the ceiling. After having completely negative OPKs on the clear blue digital tests since last sun, this wee guy made an appearance this morning not even a flashing one but a static smiley! I feel like it's my bfp lol! Was feeling so down about things all week. We dtd last night and going to try and pounce of DH tonight too. Feeling a bit more hopeful xx

Happy new year to you New Girl! How are you doing? I would like to be more organised with my temps too but I feel my sleep pattern can be so erratic at times that my temp results wouldn't be accurate. My CB worked today thank goodness! Held it in the pot a while longer so maybe that helped. Feeling slightly nervous now as I approach my tww xx

That's exciting Cookie fx for you!! I'm now on CD 38 my cycle still not right from the pill! I think AF is due on Fri as that will be two weeks from when I had EWCM so keeping everything crossed for a BFP but not having any signs such as sore boobs so it will probably be AF again for me!

I've bought Agnus Cactus so going to try this next cycle to try and get them down to 28days.

I was so busy over Xmas it took my mind of things but now it's over I'm back to not being able to think about anything else

cookie no I haven't tried agnus casts. I'm a medic and though i am willing to use OPKs and look for EWCM I am a little bit reluctant to try things that i would tell my own patients there is no good evidence for using. That doesn't mean necessarily that it doesn't work, but I can't find any good trials that have been done to prove it. Having said all that, I may end up trying it if they don't settle soon. Cycles have been 39, 33, 49 and then 77 days so far since stopping.

How long did your cycles take to regulate?

Happy New Year! I'm now on day 19 after stopping Cerazette and I had (tmi) what can only be described as a massive blob of jelly like substance. I don't know if this is EWCM or just something that happens after coming off the pill? I've dtd just in case and I did an OPK but it was negative. Has anyone else experienced this? Let's hope for a fruitful and fertile 2016!

Sounds definitely like EWCM! I know the OPK are quiet sensitive did you limit your fluid intake and no wee for a few hours before? X

Definitely no wee for a while but I had quite a bit to drink by my standards. I will try again with the OPK tomorrow :)

Just saw your message and wanted to reply! I stopped my pill back in May and I had exactly the same thing! Probably not what you want to hear but I'm not convinced it was me ovulating I think it was just everything starting to work again down there. But you never know! But once that cycle finished (48 days) my next cycle went straight down to 33 days and I'm pretty sure that's when I started ovulating! Good luck, fx for you all xx

Thank you Belle and Yvonne. Yes, I did wonder if it was just undoing what Cerazette had done in terms of thickening up the cervix. Either way definitely a step in the right direction. Fingers crossed AF comes soon :)

firstgo hope your cycles shorten for you. It's frustrating that we can't know what's going on in our own bodies. It's that control thing that bothers me, I'm a planner so not knowing what my.own body is doing drives me up the wall!!

first hopefully this cycle is shorter for you. I was going a bit mad waiting for my AF to turn up, and I didnt even go as long as 77days. Seems strange hoping to get AF!! Ive hated it for the whole of my life up until the last two months where i have been desperate to see it!!

So where I'm at... After a 58 day cycle, finally AF has made an appearance. I am so happy it's ridiculous! I knew it would happen but it's so hard to be patient when you have no idea what's going on in there. I had no symptoms this time, no cramps on lead up, no headache or anything. It's a definite bleed now as well, two weeks ago I had spotting which I knew wasn't a period, but confused me a bit. I am not ttc until March but that's no so far away now that we are in 2016. All Christmas I was thinking to myself, hopefully, this time next year I will have a bump! So I am now on my 2nd cycle after coming off cerazette (last pill taken 5th nov) so now on CD2.

It does seem different for everyone coming off the pill. I'm just taking centrum pre conception multivitamins with folic acid. Hopefully my body finds its natural rhythm quickly so my cycles get shorter... But who knows!

Hey everyone my period has lightening down a good bit as it's day 5 so almost finished how would I know if everything is back to normal and when should I test again?

Flamingo- great news AF arrived , hope ur cu Les r getting shorter ! I took the centrum multivitamin and folic acid too , don't know if they helped but my cycles shortens X

Shakate - glad AF is coming to an end , have u thought about using OPKs ? I found them very helpful as they help u know how long ur cycle will b (AF 14 days after +opk) the long cycles really r a pain in the ass ! X
