Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

I've started my OPKs and done one today. Faint line so definitely a negative! Will start them properly next week and use my clear blue dig ones too! Really don't want to miss my window like i did last month! Xx

cookie I found them really helpful. Made me feel like I had a bit of control back. I would have missed my cd 65 ovulation for sure! Even though my AF has arrived 2 weeks later it is at least reassurance that I am not having anovulatory cycles.

Newgirl have you tested yet?? That little burst of bleeding sounds positive!

Cookie yeah I think OPKs that just test for LH should be in afternoon between 2-4 ideally, after holding urine for 3-4 hours. Although I always do mine at about 6pm as that's when I get in from work. Clear blue test for two hormones so are more accurate with FMU.

My opks are still positive. That's 4 days now. Temps still up. If I take the opks off my chart FF thinks I OVd day 14. I didn't have any signs of OV, no positive opk, didn't have ewcm on that day (but have had it pretty much every other day!!) and no sore nipples that I normally get after OV! But all temps still up.

Did a super drug cheapy this morning, nothing on it so went back to bed. Just looked again 3 hours later and there is a faint line. BUT it's out of the time frame. And also the line is exactly where the little plastic cover was touching the test paper so I wonder if the dye just accumulated there. No tests in the house. Might get a FRER for tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath for a bfp. No symptoms of pregnancy, boobs feel normal, just the motion sickness the other day and felt a bit queasy yesterday evening but think that's cos I'm over thinking things! Getting OV type pains so I know it's more likely to be OV.

Sunny your OPK's are so strong! I'd ignore FF if I was you and go on the tests and temps, and your feeling in your own body.

I tested yesterday morning and got a BFN, and then yesterday evening got some brown spotting so I think the witch is on her way a few days early! I was getting cramps yesterday and day before but didn't think it was AF as it was all one side (same side as Ov) and different pain to normal so thought it could be implantation. No such luck on our first try obviously.
Silly me, we are away for a couple of nights and I brought tonnes of pg tests but only the 2 Tampons that I normally carry in my handbag!! So now got to go on a hunt for more to rub salt in the wound !

Ooh new girl, maybe you just tested too early?? If the spotting was brown and disappeared fingers crossed! I did a tesco test this morning and absolutely nothing! 100%bfn. Yesterday's bloody Evap was so strong! Will teach me not to look at old tests! Opks a bit paler today So think it was probably OV, so il just have to wait and see what temps do. X

Sadly it's definitely AF Sunny . Disappointed as I'd started to convince myself I was PG but will have to give it a better shot next month. In the mean time I'm having some awful cramps!!

Hey girls I'm spotting once again? Is this normal

The last couple of days, my boobs have been so sore. Not noticed them feeling like this in the last seven months post-Pill. Am really aware of them if that makes sense? More so than you normally would be. They hurt across the top and sides to touch and am struggling to get comfortable. Not wanting to get my hopes up mind you. Not sure when to test. Last cycle was 51 days. Currently on day 34 of this cycle. Had quite a strong OPK about 10 days ago and EWCM, so I guess I'll have to test this weekend and see if the sore boobs are an early pregnancy sign?!

Hi All, came off the pill in April, took about 8-10week for my cycle to settle. This cycle have had a very very short period, (think it was old blood) cd12 positive ovulation test, but I've read a lot that ovulation test can also show positive when pregnant?? Will take a pregnancy test but just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences??

Sorry to hear about AF newgirl. Hope you have a nice few days away tho and have some drinks to compensate for the witch arriving! I felt hopeful my first cycle too and felt so disappointed when AF arrived. Sunny, your OPKs are great. What CD are you on? Have you had any symptoms? What CD are you on?? You should def do test if you're far enough on for the results to be accurate. OPKs can pick up this hormone if preg.

Im on cd18 and my ovia says my fertile window should be from tomorrow onwards. Not have any CM and OPKs have all been negative so far. Been using my cheapy ones but used a CB digital on Sunday- completely negative! It's a bit deflating. Hopefully I get some flashing smiley faces within the next few days and static smiley soon! Determined to give it my all this month! Been using preseed too but don't think DH is too keen xx

Hi ladies, this is my first ever post! I took my last cerazette pill 14 days ago. I came off it before and it took 100 days to get a withdrawal bleed and then 39 days until something more resembling AF and then I must have ovulated 6 weeks later as I found out I was pregnant some time afterwards! I don't mind too much if I get the same thing but I think it was a bit of a fluke. Anyway it will be nice to have some company whilst waiting for AF. Ive downloaded a few apps but it's all a bit of a waiting game at the moment. Good luck all!

Hi soph! I think it's there.. Always easier to see in real life than picture but I can definitely see something. Have you tested again since. An early response should give you a clear line! Fingers crossed.

Don't worry too much gx, pain in early pregnancy is really common. Usually caused by the growing uterus pulling on the round ligaments. If it's severe or one sided or bleeding contact gp.

Cookie I found ovia only really useful for me to keep a track of symptoms, temps etc. absolutely no good at predicting OV or period etc unless you have perfectly regular cycles, OV on the same cycle day each month, regular luteal phase etc. it's just guessing based on your average. Keep doing the opks and checking my cm! :)

Welcome 8a8y. Ooo, do a test and let us know, could have been implantation bleeding. Or if I'm the voice of reason could also just be that our crazy bodies sometimes do weird things! Test is the only way to know.

FF gave me new cross hairs this morning so looks like I did OV 3 days ago. Doesn't look like much of a pattern to me as temps been so rocky. Just hope the temps stay up. And now have period pain as well as pelvic pain. Feels like af is coming but she should be about a week or more away still. Xx

Sorry I've missed out on a lot of posts in the last week or so - SophieD, HUGE congratulations!!!! Awesome end to 2015, and hopefully a bit of your luck rubs off on us for BFPs in 2016 .
How is everyone?
I've had a busy couple of weeks which is good because I am trying not to think about the fact that the witch has yet to visit me, since I stopped taking the pill last month. I am currently CD55 and know my periods will be erratic since coming off the pill on 6th Nov and thinking about it isn't going to change that I have to keep reminding myself that I am also not TTC until March!! Hubby and I both getting broody though! My pmt type symptoms which started after I finished taking the pill have stopped now, THANK GOD - the cramps were pretty bad but gone now and I'm not feeling overly emotional or getting mood swings which is definitely progress compared to last month, so the hormones are settling! Rest assured I will let you all know when AF comes to visit!!

Getting really frustrated now I stopped the pill the 3rd of December and the next day I got spotting iv had brown discharge spotting on and off since I came off the pill it stopped completely for 5 days and is now back again it's just very light brown discharge I'm not sure I got a period yet I was wondering what is going on? Is it just my body getting use to no pill or what ? Getting bad headache last few days and cramping?

Flamingo - hopefully u get AF soon so u can start a new cycle , and hopefully they start to shorten , it's hard not to get impatient when u know ul b trying for a baby soon wishing u Good luck for 2016 X
Shankate- think the spotting will just b ur body adjusting to not having hormones put into ur system everyday X
Altho back pain was an early pregnancy symptom for me , have u tested yet ? X
I hated the aftermath of the pill too found it a bit of a nightmare tbh xx

I also think iv a kidney infection cus I can't stop going toilet have had bad headache past few days stomach is sick in the mornings sore boobs also I don't know when to test? I think when I get my period properly maybe a week or 2 after that or should I take one asap
