Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

Hi everyone, how are we all doing? How you're keeping well GX. You must be counting down to your first scan now? How many weeks to go? Have you had your first midwife appointment? Chapman i have actually done the due date calendar as well hehe. If I was to be preg this cycle then my due date would be 13th Aug (1st day of the school term so a full year off for me!). I have absolutely zero symptoms though and no AF symptoms either. AF due on Monday! Will maybe take a IC test on Sunday/Monday and see if theres a wee surprise awaiting me! Xx

I'm good thanks I have my booking app on the 11 Dec and should get scan date for around the first week of Jan , can't wait for it to arrive in the post X

Hi gx91 I'm good thanks however my boobs are so sore it hurts to even touch them right now! I thought this would of happened a couple of days ago! Took another opk and it came back with the slightest slightest of line on positive so I'm defo ending the ov period haha!

I remember having sore nipples and cramping from 2 dpo until 6 dpo and slight back pain before my BFP but didn't suspect pregnancy lol thought it was PMS ! Please post any symptoms ur having! X

I get confused with all the ov business! I thought I would of got symptoms before ov maybe this time last week as I only got my positive opk on Sunday. Will I know when I've finished opk by testing and checking for a negative opk? Then do I count 14dpo from then? I will gx91 I'm getting excited we fly to New York on the 26th so I'm hoping I find out befor then so I know what I'm doing haha drinking or no drinking xx

I counted 14 days from my last positive opk think it's just an estimate but if u r getting faint lines now then ovulation has passed X

Still no symptoms for me yet, apart from my chin starting to break out in spots again skin has been absolutely fine since the end of last AF but wonder if this is a sign that AF is looming. Also feeling a bit down and 'blah' today for no specific reason! Xx

Thanks gx91 will take your advice and just test 14 days from now. I don't know when my AF is due anyway as I haven't had one but just going to go off that
I know cookie we love America we went to Las Vegas in September and it was amazing so we booked up again for May next year along with LA so glad we can get all our holidays over with then when we have children take them to Disney! Aw no bad times lets just hope these could be symptoms of early pregnancy fx for you! I always have spots so I never really class that as a symptom for AF! Xxx

CD 7 for me so waiting for Ov again now, boring!! I've got a good feeling about this month, but then I'm a bit of a blind optimist anyway . Applying for a promotion today, likely to have an interview in a week or so time, it's all go!!

I'm waiting for AF to bugger off. I'm thinking of taking Soy isoflavones this month. Iv done lots of reading online and the reviews are almost all good. It's supposed to be "natures clomid" it's a herbal tablet, specific b vitamin, you just buy in tesco... No real risks (if you take it for too long you can delay OV). It works by tricking body into producing more estrogen. So it triggers OV, or brings it forward and makes stronger eggs. I don't really want to mess if my body is trying to settle down off pill. But Iv only had two periods in 5 months so I feel like I'm not getting many chances at baby making. Would be great if I can bring OV forward so even if I don't get pregnant at least with more regular cycles Iv got more attempts per year! I'm that makes sense. What do you recon?? X

The Soy supplement sounds good Sunny. Being in a similar situation as you, I would be willing to try anything to reduce my cycle lengths. I used the Agnus Castis up until I got my peak in the OPKs this cycle and (if it's definitely worked to reduce my cycle length) will be using them next month! I

Whoops, hit post by accident there! I'm on CD 26 at the moment so was going to test on Sunday (tho my last cycle was 55 days so I've no idea really where I am!) Have ICs and also bought a pack of FRER too. To be honest, I really don't think I will be getting a BFP. I'd be lying if I said I had any common symptoms. Apart from the odd twinge the past few days, there's been nothing! Don't think we've DTD enough either as both DH and I have been feeling under the weather this month. I would be delighted if it was a BFP! Keeping everything crossed xx

Sunny - those supplements sound very promising ! I would have bn the sm and used anything to get cycles bk to normal but didn't know about all the things out there to help ( I was just taking folic acid ! ) hope AF is tailing off now ! I had a pretty horrendous period the cycle before BFP , was painful heavy and long ! Lol x

Well my DD thought it was time for breakfast at 2 am this morning ! Hard to try tell a 2 year old that it's the middle of the night so had to sit up with her until she got tired again X very tired this morning with a sore head which is making me want to vomit ! Gona call my mum for help ! Xx

Girls, help please!! I cheekily took a IC test this morning and it was definitely a huge BFN. Haven't done an OPK since the middle of last week so i thought I'd do one to check just incase I haven't actually ov yet! This is the most positive I've ever had on an OPK. What do yous think?? Perhaps my lines 2 weeks ago were just my body gearing up for OV but nothing happened? To be honest, I think it makes more sense to ovulating this weekend as it would be more in line with my long cycles! Better grab DH quickly and get on it xx

That opk looks great cookie! I would assume this is peak now. Think my body tried to gear up earlier in cycle but didn't OV... Then OVd later with strong lines and temp rise to confirm. Go for it!! Xx

Cookie - good line u should take a pregnancy test too to check if ur pregnant , an opk with b positive if ur pregnant too !! If Preg test is Negetive then it's definitely ovulation ! Lol worth checking tho lol xxx

I took an IC test this morning and it was 100% negative. Not even a shadow of any sort. Felt quite down in the dumps so I decided to do an opk a few hours later just incase id misjudged my ov (& it seems like I have!). We just so happened to DTD last night & will have another go tonight (and tomorrow if DH will let me ) is ov usually 36 hours roughly from this point? How are you feeling GX and Sunny? Just read your previous post GX, hope you're feeling a bit better! Had a wee chuckle at your story about DD. This is what we've got to look forward to! Xx
