Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

Aw that "wet feeling" is the worst. Even when not ttc that obsessive "have a come on" thing is awful! I never thought I would spend so much of my day with fingers up my foof! Haha x

I stopped taking a mini pill, had one very light bleed a few weeks after and a month and a half later I found out I was pregnant. Don't assume that no bleeds or irregular bleeds means that you are not ovulating.

Lol sunny it's true , worst time was when in the ball pit at soft play with OH and DD ! Had to hide in the balls and have a quick check , total disgusting I now but if it had been AF I don't know what I would have done ( probably stayed there until everyone left ) lol xx

I hate the utter panic when the wet feeling comes! I actually LOL'd there GX reading your ball pit story I think I would have done the same! I'm hoping I have Ov'd already. Would really love to get a BFP next week but don't think we have DTD enough this month. It only takes one chance tho!! Xx

Haha that story is hilarious gx! Iv also been checking incessantly to see if my nipples are sore do not only have a frequently got my hands in my pants but also my bra!

I think that little bit of spotting is turning into period! Boo. X

Cookie & GX you guys are cracking me up with you wet feeling comments. 100% know the feeling and totally agree about sharing on here so as not to gross out the DH too much, he'll never want to DTD when the time is right otherwise! I always get what looks like EWCM after DTD which is also confusing! So weird how happy I am sharing all this on here, and how I am not at all bothered by everyone else's sharing! Totally happy to comment on CM etc but wouldn't dream of it with my friends !!
Cookie & Sunny, thanks for the reassurance re the TWW and !! Very interesting re not connected to bloody supply until after implantation, didn't know that and while I still will avoid going completely mad that makes me feel A LOT better, so thanks so much! As you say want to enjoy those special memories. Cookie, I'm sure you can get away a prosecco or two

The TWW does makes us obsess and check everything
Also ur temping should help understand what's happening , maybe the bleed will stop and ur temp will go high again tomorrow , still holding out hope for u x

Newgirl - sm here wouldn't b sharing any stories with my friends lol hope u enjoy a few glasses of fizz whilst waiting for news after the TWW , think it's more important to b stress free whilst TTC x

Was on the Pill for 17 years! And more recently on mini-Pill so no AF at all. Since coming off it, the cycles were getting longer and longer. I really hope it isn't that. The doctor was so lovely though - first time in London I've felt a real connection with a GP.

I do weigh quite a bit and the two can go hand-in-hand... alongside diabetes!

She said once she has the bloods back, if it is that, she will refer me to a specialist. The annoying thing is that the bloods and scan have to be done during AF. Luckily I was on when I saw her so went straight from the surgery to hospital to get those done.

Results due in a week and a bit from now so will let you know.

I did notice this time, that on the first day, AF was really dark, almost a brown colour - not sure if that is connected.

I had crazy periods when young - coming through on my school uniform regardless of what sanitary products I used, irregular, lasting for weeks, then another one coming a week later. It was awful. They never looked into it though, just put me on the Pill to regulate everything.

Sophie. Good luck with your results. If it is PCOS it's much better to know about it. And it's one of the easiest ones to treat in terms of conceiving.

AF Is DEFINITELY here this morning! With some cracking pain too! It's ok though. 52 day cycle is better tha 98 so hopefully things are going in the right direction! And I really thought it would take 10months to have a period like the 1st time I stopped the pill, which would have meant starting ttc in May 2016, so any thing before that is a bonus. Also yummy foods at Christmas, and I really wasn't going to be able to hide not drinking at Xmas parties (I'm known for liking a glass of wine!).

Sophie, it's sounds like your doctor has acted really quickly in getting bloods done etc. Hopefully you will have some answers soon!

Sunny, sorry to hear about AF arriving! At least you can enjoy some Xmas drinks and you must be relieved knowing your cycle wasn't as long as last time. You done so well with all your tracking - you must feel so much more knowledgeable about your body now!! Xx

Yeah definitely learnt a lot, and nice to see that I am OVing and roughly when to expect AF. Will do it again this cycle but I'm Not going to start temping again until I start opks again. That will give me a couple of weeks off. I'm sure my sleep has been more disrupted temping coz I'm subconsciously thinking about temping so every time I wake up in the night (which is a lot, normal for me) I worry about when to temp, how long Iv been asleep etc. just going to enjoy this 2 weeks off. Xx

Morning girls sorry not been responding been so busy at work! Update did another opk check and it was positive again so dtd last night however we were messing around before and DH thinks he well you know what before we managed to DTD but we shall see come 14dpo! How is everyone else doing? Sorry about AF sunny.. Fx it happens next month!

Great news that your cycle length is def shortening Sunny - hopefully mine will do the same!

My OPK sticks have just arrived, so I'm going to do one as soon as I get home.
Couple of questions, is it better to do them in the afternoon rather than the morning?
Should you not drink for an hour or so before to not dilute your wee?
I didn't know if the amount you drink can dilute, I'm training for a half marathon until BFP comes along...mainly to give me something else to focus on!! But the days I run I make sure I drink a lot more than usual.

Finger crossed for your test results Sophie. Even if it I PCOS I'm sure they can help you with advice & treatment for ttc
Sunny I have felt exactly the same since I've started temping, my sleep had been really broken which is unlike me and i keep waking up before my alarm (very unlike me!). I think I'm subconsciously worrying about temping at the right time, it's doing me more harm than good so far!!

Vicky I used them straight away every day and I always test about 4.30/5 try to hold in my wee as much as I can before testing! Normally the stronger the better! Xx

Sophie , ur doctor sounds lovely , nothing's set in stone until u get ur results could just be the pill it really messes with ur bodies hormones ! And Pcos can b easily helped I think everyone that I know who has it has kids X I'm sure I will get all the help u nd gd luck X
Vicky - did u try out r OPKs ? Any lines ? X
Chapman - u feeling lucky for August baby ? TWW for u lol X
Sunny - sorry it is the wicked witch but like u say now u can really relax at Christmas with a glass of wine in your hand and when's a better time than new year for a fresh new cycle lol X

Opk today and was the slightest feint 2nd line so defo think ovu has been and gone so we shall wait and see come 2 weeks! My boobs are so sore this evening haha! I don't know whether it would be August or would it be early September? How are you today?? And how is everyone else? Cookie, sunny, Vicky, new girl and Sophie? Xxx

I came home & used an OPK stick, just a negative result - wasn't expecting anything else really. But might have been nice to see something!
I will keep doing them daily & see what happens!
No signs of anything going on really...other than eating far too much today!!
Will be keeping everything crossed for you Chapman!!

Oh we'll never mind Hun least you know what to do! Are you tracking AF did you say?? I only checked mine when my ovia app told me but actually thought it was a load of rubbish because I hadn't actually had a proper bleed but it was only a couple of days out!! Haha same here I'm trying to lose weight but not happen if not with Christmas thankyou I will just wait and see what happens!! Xxx

Yeah, I'm using the Ovia app. It's still telling me to take a pregnancy test, as it has been for over 2 weeks lol! I Have told myself I will do another one Friday just to b sure, but there are no signs!
I'm trying to tell myself I'm taking a laid back approach to getting pregnant (it's not working lol!) trying not to listen to the app at the moment as my cycle is all over the place, but with time & the OPK sticks & everything should start to build a better picture!

Worked it out due date to be around 25th August if it does happen this month!! So exciting all of this! Counting down to 14dpo haha! Aw lovely i just can't wait to finish work for Christmas I am exhausted! And as well Vicky you can still ov without a period look at me I think it's crazy fx for a positive opk soon! Xxx
