Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

Oh no I didn't mean it like that! I meant my head was going to explode with trying to work it all out Grin

MinisMama13 · 04/08/2015 23:06

Hahaha I've been like that all day.
Maybe I'll wear white undies tomorrow as that'll bring on af Wink
Ho hum. I should drag my sleepy backside to bed and see what tomorrow brings but in a weird way I'm enjoying the what if for another few minutes as I know deep down it'll be a bfn tomorrow. On the upside we have a day out planned with ds that hopefully he'll love Smile

ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 00:11

Oh Mini, I hope the waiting is over soon!

Well dh powered through! Dangly legs here Grin Dr thinks the tendonitis is from picking up small children! He had a cortisone injection yesterday and I guess it gets worse before it gets better? Anyway, must go to sleep as ds has been rising early ????

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 05:49

Yay ispy! Grin Poor DH though. It took me 9 months to get better after having it for 6 months and it wasn't the physio that helped although she had the answer. She told me until I stop using it it won't go away. I went on holiday last October and got struck down with acute food poisoning which meant I had to lie in bed for 4 days and I couldn't look after DS at all. It was hell but I returned from holiday with a new wrist Wink and the other silver lining from that horrible experience is that DH grew a very special bond with DS and DS has been potty about him ever since whereas before that DS only let me do certain things (all because of the bond BF creates) like bedtime etc which is why the injury occurred in the first place! I think next time I will definitely encourage DS to put dc2 down more but it's hard when you're the one doing all the feeding as often you can use the milk as a magic sleeping tool but that's probably why DS is such a terrible self settler because he mainly was put down with a tummy full of BF Grin

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 05:51

Hah hah "encourage DH" not DS! Oh lord can you imagine a 3/4 year old putting down a baby to sleep lol

Soooo another bfn. If I still haven't had any more red spotting or signs of af I'm going to buy a decent test later rather than ic's. I expected to see something when I got up but nada. No spotting or anything. TMI I checked CP and found a brown streak but I almost felt dry which is odd. Talk about torturing myself Wink

Also found this on pg test accuracy while obviously not googling Wink

Oh that's quite a jump each day isn't it?! I recon a frer in the morning is the way to go but what an agonising wait!

Pear he's had it for 9 months now hence the cortisone injection. Rest definitely seems to help but it's so hard not picking ds up. Putting him in his car seat really aggravates it so I just have to remember to do it where I can.

I got a fixed smiley today ????
Cd 25 today so one day earlier than last cycle, yay!

MinisMama13 · 05/08/2015 08:54

Sorry I realise that was a totally selfish post! Whoop for powering through ispy and yay for a fixed smiley today!

Pear I've found self settling has come with age for ds. Oh and he won't necessarily do it for me but will for nursery and his dad. That said he fell asleep on me yesterday with no milk.

I actually think I've jinxed myself, af feels imminent. We'll see. I may nip out later for a better test!

ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 10:37

I too planned to encourage more self soothing last time but I now embrace the fact that bf is designed to make mum and baby sleepy. I remember at my postnatal class about 6 weeks after ds was born the health visitor checking we were all putting our babies down awake and weren't rocking them or feeding them to sleep. It still makes me livid to think about. By dc3 I knew just to grin and nod along but I felt bad for the first timers. I've since made friends with the bf ones (and a ff one!) and reassured them it was nonsense Smile

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 15:50

Mini - how are you doing?

OP posts:
MinisMama13 · 05/08/2015 17:23

I'm good! Just got home from taking ds to the railway museum! A great distraction!
More brown spotting but only small amounts but I just feel like af will arrive tomorrow. I haven't even bought a different test!

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 19:15

Mini - that's probably wise not to buy anymore sticks. I really hope it turns out to be good news but I agree with you that it's worth waiting to see if AF arrives tomorrow. Yay for the distraction today Smile

Tomorrow I've got another busy day to distract me. I'm visiting friends and having friends over (both sets with newborns). It will be good to see them before AF arrives as I always find it harder afterwards. 10dpo tomorrow so I've got to pee really fast and avoid temptation! I'm absolutely determined not to waste sticks this month. I've not had greasy skin like this in a loooonngg time so I am actually starting to wonder whether maybe it's linked to Agnus Cactus or maybe this is the first month that my body is working since I did see a lot of unusual ewcm for me! I continue to stress eat which is not helping Hmm

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 19:17

Ispy - woohoo for the fixed smiley Grin Sorry I was thinking it earlier and then forgot to write it down!

waxweasel · 05/08/2015 20:04

Mini and pear, I popped over to see how you were doing - I hope you dont mind. Sounds like neither of you is out of the game yet this month so I have my fingers crossed for you both - really hope you have some good news soon xxx

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 20:47

Hi wax. How are you doing? I'm not doing well at all Hmm I feel so hormonal and have the worst greasy skin ever so I really feel like AF is near Hmm

OP posts:
waxweasel · 05/08/2015 20:49

Oh no Sad but you never know, early pg and pre-AF symptoms are pretty similar. You're not out of the game yet.

I'm ok thanks, am still only 4+4 but am absolutely exhausted and having real dizzy spells. Hoping they pass soon! Otherwise all ok so far and the sickness thankfully hasn't kicked in yet...fingers crossed you'll both be joining us on the grad thread soon!

Leamice · 05/08/2015 21:03

Good luck pear and mini, (I'm quietly stalking thread until I can actually ttc) hoping for BFPs for you both. I bet there will be no one left here by the time I get my flipping cycles back!

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 21:11

Well I read tonight that Agnus Cactus is meant to make your pre AF acne better but one of its side effects is that it can make it worse. Confused ????

OP posts:
ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 21:44

Haha I hate meds like that Pear! Like antidepressants which have depression as a side effect, wtf! What hpts do you have in the house? Good luck resisting poas! Also, I'm very glad I don't have friends with newborns right now. I hope your day goes well with lots of cuddles and no tears ????

Fx the sickness stays away Wax....

Keep us posted Mini. Thinking of you....

ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 21:48

I recon I'll still be here Leamice. Af didn't return for me til ds was 20mo and we were ready to ttc from 9mo so I've had a long wait already. While af is back we're still bf an awful lot so doubt I'll be getting a bfp anytime soon.

lostindubai · 05/08/2015 22:32

Hi ladies I just wanted to let you know I got my BFP this morning!

Still bf my ds once a day (with only a very occasional exception) and this was our first month of trying. I realise how lucky I am. Sorry I'm unable to give you any stats but I wasn't doing any measuring of anything really. We just dtd every other day from about day 6 for a couple of weeks (28 day cycle) and then I had an implantation bleed a day before AF was due - actually thought it was AF for a while there!

Wishing you all a speedy BFP!

MinisMama13 · 05/08/2015 22:47

Pear enjoy the distraction tomorrow! It sounds like the Agnus Cactus is doing something. I have everything crossed for you - early pregnant and af symptoms can be very similar!

Wax I hope you're managing to get some rest. I find dizziness worse than anything as I hate being disorientated!

Lea my cycles have always been surprising so you never know when you'll be back in the game! Oh and I'll probably still be here!

Ispy I'm with you, not sure how I would feel being around newborns! Glad I just have to listen to pregnancy talk although that can be bad enough!

Lost congratulations lovely!

Well I am out. Proper spotting started this evening at around 6. I stupidly let myself get my hopes up too! It does mean I had an extra day so that's good but I can't help feeling a bit stupid to be honest. I should know better! Eating my way through a bag of chocolate orange segments because I can.

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 03:35

Aww mini that's so hard Hmm Sorry AF finally arrived but yay for the extra day. Better then no improvement at all I guess! Don't feel bad! Nearly all of us get our hopes up, what else can we do?! TBH I preferred the cycles when I got my hopes up because at least you got to sniff the dream whereas I've now just become so negative towards TTC which I don't feel is a good thing Hmm

Ispy - 20 months is a long time to wait. Mine came back at 14, little did I know that it was just the start of the long waiting game!! Of for turning back the clock huh!

Yes, Ispy and mini, you can be grateful not to be around newborns and I hope that does not change for you anytime soon because boy is it tough!

Lost - congratulations! I didn't even realise you were on the 2ww. Tbh I've been on this thread long enough to expect you to get a bfp quickly. Weirdly it's always the quiet ones who announce bfps very quickly so I was kind of expecting it from you. Well done for falling pregnant whilst still BF. Quite an achievement and gives hope to others on here Smile I hope you have a very boring and non eventful pregnancy Wink enjoy!

10dpo here and I just cuddled DS back to sleep after a bad dream. Managed to pee really quickly Smile I am not giving into POAS. I may not get my bfp this month but I'll be damned if I waste a test. I remain strong! I can do this GrinConfused

Dougal - you ok? Still thinking of you. Hope the appt went OK!

OP posts:
Leamice · 06/08/2015 06:25

Congratulations lost! That's great you got your bfp on cycle 1 ttc!

Pear- That's amazing willpower to get to 10dpo without testing. When will you test?

Leamice · 06/08/2015 06:26

Sorry abut the spotting mini, hope you enjoyed your chocolate
