Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

I'm really hoping that a longer lp will help but I still think it'll be a while. In all honesty I think mini bf all night won't help!

So it's ov day here after my fixed smiley yesterday. Have been dtd lots, maybe too much?! Will enjoy it for another day before I lose interest for the rest of the month

In previous cycles I start spitting at lunchtime tomorrow so if I haven't had anything I will test on Saturday morning at 12dpo. Do NOT let me test before 9 cycles of this rubbish has made me waste ALOT of money!

A question for you clever ttc experts- my ic opk was a strong line yesterday which was the day of my fixed smiley but today, which I would assume is ovulation day the ic only has a thin line? Interested to know when ovulation occurs as an extra day to my lp would be great!

Maybe you Ovd yesterday then ispy? Or could have been a short surge? Maybe test again tomorrow just in case it was a "practice" surge, sometimes your body gears up to ov then doesn't quite make it so retries a few days later. I'm definitely no expert though but I have done a lot of googling in this limbo land of infertility.

Ispy - that's interesting. I would say that you OV'd last night then. You're quite late in your cycle already for it to be a false alarm. Just my opinion. We won't really know because it's only your temp that will ever give a proper understanding of the exact day Perhaps if you had tested in the evening (Tuesday) you could have got a static then and then it really wouldn't have been much surprise that your OV'd yesterday?!

Evening! It turns out that DH is now working late tomorrow night so I won't be able to go for that drink after all I'm going to have to let my sister down really really gently! I'm also going to buy a big bottle of red, Brie and Stilton. Oh and maybe pate obviously I'll wait for the first signs before I know it's game over!!

I'm thinking I must've ovd late yesterday or early today as ewcm has disappeared today. It's really good timing as we are off camping tomorrow so won't have to worry about dtd on an airbed with a cosleeping toddler and an 8yr old and an 11yr old in the tent!

Ispy I think with any ovulation test can give you an answer that you're getting ready to ov and it will likely be within the next 48 ish hours. The problem is they don't say when. I know in theory you ov on your second peak day but it could happen on the first. I sometimes will have a positive opk ic 2 days in a row but not always and I find the second line disappears quickly! I don't think I've helped there at all as I forgot my point!

Pear I have everything crossed that the spotting doesn't show! Wine is a good back up plan though!

Cd1 for me and as an extra punch one of the ladies at my exercise class told me she's pregnant tonight whilst we were warming up. It took me a minute for my brain to engage and say congratulations. I am happy for her though. Well mostly lol. Pregnant people everywhere it seems!

Results are back. Looks like I ovulated. I haven't had my usual lunchtime spotting yet but I can feel that it's on it's way

My results are 53.1 but that doesn't mean anything to me. If I'm ovulating (which I didn't doubt) then it's pointing more towards the later stage that something goes wrong which is what I thought because of bf for so long so know I should feel happy for ovulating but I'm even more frustrated that it doesn't mean I'm pregnant which is silly I know

Does anyone on here do no2 a lot before AF arrives? I've been 3x today which is odd for me. I've googled and its suggests that progesterone is dropping. However, I've not experienced this before like today.

Ooo Pear the results sound positive although I do get what you mean when you are thinking it could be something else. It could just be one of those things, I know that is the most frustrating thing anyone can say so please don't hate me!
Urm I have IBD so I assumed maybe it was just me affected in that sort of way!
Also going lots is as much as a sign of pg as constipation is!
Really hoping tour spotting has stayed away and you get your bfp

Oh thanks for your support Mini! After lots of thought tonight I've given myself a slap for being so selfish. I'm happy that I've ovulated. It is probably just one of those things stopping me falling pregnant like you say. I am so grateful when so many ladies struggle at the first hurdle. I haven't started spotting yet so it looks like I'll have a 12 day LP this month (instead of the 10/11 days I've had in all the previous 8 cycles that I've monitored) which is a fantastic sign that things are settling! We will try again next month and should I be so lucky to have another May miracle then I'll be truly blessed!

Don't write yourself off yet! Completely understand having a plan in place though! I think an extra lp day is always a bonus, a good sign things are settling for you. The problem with the bloods is you need it dine a few times to be able to estimate the overall picture but it's obviously looking good. I wish I could remember my numbers to tell you but it was far too long ago (2012!)
