The sleep deprivation was a challenge lily but it was manageable. He took a night in the spare room every few days with an agreed "do not disturb" which helped

I have a job interview for a promotion! Apparently I am one of the top 2 applicants out of the 5 being interviewed

Madredear · 20/07/2015 16:36

81lilygirl, you're in my prayers hun. I know how you feel, I really do, and it bloody sucks x

Started ttc this month, no idea when I'm ovulating as two different apps have given me two different sets of info. DTD a lot throughout the month so hoping it hasn't mattered that I haven't known when I'm ovulating. Will use opk for the next cycle if I haven't been super lucky and conceived month 1.

3Princes99 · 20/07/2015 16:39

Sorry not been around last few days! Poorly children. Hope I've not missed much

Welcome all newbies, hope this is a short journey for you all

Good luck with your interview carrot ????

81lilygirl · 20/07/2015 16:55

Good luck Carrot, sounds like you are on the up!

We only have a tiny 1 bed flat (hoping to move by the time a baby would be too old to share a room with us, and we can afford to, given the stupid house prices in Aberdeen) so not sure how we could work that, but we will definitely try and sort something like that, sleep deprivation is a huge issue at the moment, never mind with a baby

birchygoo · 20/07/2015 17:02

hi everyone - I am a really bad driver - I just disappeared for the weekend to visit a friend

Welcome to the newbies and wishing you a short journey - I have updated stats - hpefully I have not missed anyone.

carrot i feel for you - its awful hearing of new babies - over weekend friend told me of a girl who got married same day as me is now pregnant :-( I feel like it should be me as well!

lily me and my colleague started trying at same time - she is 36, she is now 5 months pregnant and at 5 years younger I am still trying!! I wouldnt worry about it too much!

MrVan tells me he's going to make me feel better...

Sorry it's so rough crunchy

Sofa bed in the living room lily? Everything is worse with no sleep

Emilygremily · 20/07/2015 17:24

AF got me Birchy :(

Madredear · 20/07/2015 18:59

Do you think it would be a bit naughty of me to test tomorrow morning? I was due to test today but I usually wait a few days more to cancel out the possibility of late ovulation. My boobies are very sore and that's never been a PMSw symptom for me.

Sorry about the sleep Lily, it's shit.

CarrotVan · 20/07/2015 19:24

If you're usually regular then I'd test

Madredear · 20/07/2015 19:27

Yes, always regular Smile

Emu123 · 20/07/2015 19:28

Carrot - sorry that u were baby bombed! I keep checking out a girl at work as think she might "announce". Well done on the interview though - sounds v positive!

CD8 for me - was going to start sperm meet egg again but can't face it tonight!!! Know I pretty much always ovulate on cd16 so seems a bit pointless!!! Do you think starting on cd8 is important!?!

Madredear · 20/07/2015 19:32

Emu123, no, since you ovulate on CD16, having a boogie on CD8 is pretty pointless unless you just want to get into the swing of things.

Question for everyone: if your OH insisted he wasn't 'up for it' when you've told him you really need to DTD because you're most fertile, would you get annoyed?

rebelly · 20/07/2015 19:50

Hello, can I jump on this thread?

Name: Rebelly
Age: 28

Testing on: 24th July

Very irregular so no idea when ovulate - trying to wait to test on CD28 although cycle varies up to 35 days so no idea when is too early

FlatWhiteToGo · 20/07/2015 20:24

Hello newbies! Welcome to the bus.

Madredear - I would be livid! Is that what's happening to you? Can he be pursuaded? Tell him he just has to lie there Grin.

pingoose · 20/07/2015 21:55

crunchy I have the same fear about my SIL! I don't think they're trying (but then again, they don't know we're trying) but I just have a funny feeling they're going to announce they're pregnant while we're TTC :(

Madredear · 20/07/2015 23:06

FlatWhiteToGo, it's not happening to me, no, but a good friend of mine is having a hard time TTC and her OH is being a really arse! He thinks sex just = babies Hmm

Madredear · 20/07/2015 23:08

My OH's brother has a 6 month old daughter and ever since she was born I've always been severely envious, although I do love her. I'm finding it really difficult to be around her and see family members so happy for them Sad I can't help myself, I'm flat out in envy every time I see her, it's got to the point where I avoid them quite a bit until I can get myself under perspective because I'm being unreasonable.

birchygoo · 20/07/2015 23:40

emily im sorry the witch appeared - hope you had a big glass of wine! I will update your stats - do you know what date in August you are due to test?

lily sounds like you have a lot going on - I really hope it all works out for you.

carrot im so happy for you fx that you get it! Its just good to know that you are in the running though!

princes are children doing better?

mad I would def test tomorrow - but I have no will power

Emu123 · 21/07/2015 05:56

Madredear - fx if u test today!!

Madredear · 21/07/2015 06:11

Emu123, what does fx mean? Sorry if I sound a bit dumb Shock

Not testing today as I've got a really busy day ahead, and won't be in until late. Tomorrow morning is my day though, I think Smile the tension is killing me softly... Lol

CarrotVan · 21/07/2015 07:49

Fx is shorthand for fingers crossed

IrisPurple · 21/07/2015 08:02

Oh Carrot, Lily - welcome btw, we are the same age! madre, pingoose and all the rest, I feel for you, and so many of us are in the same boat! Perhaps I am still at the early stages on our second month TTC, but I still get excited by baby announcements, as it's proof that it can happen! At least you can pump your newly pg colleagues for information. I've been more interested in people's pregnancies since we've been TTC and still find it exciting.

Probably the hardest thing for me personally, is that I have been friends with a group of lads / couples for a long time, and they literally all had babies at the same time, so they all get to grow up together and experience everything together. I met my partner later than they did. We met up with the lads at the weekend, and as I was drinking fruit tea in the pubs conversation of course turned to baby-making! Apparently their wives got pg within 2m, despite age, health and lifestyle disadvantages. I should take this as a positive, but I am convinced that I am the one in the group for whom everything will go wrong. All my other friends who have had kids and my husband's group of friends all have perfect children. There's always one in every group, and I'm worried that statistically that means me. I am a natural worrier though, and my husband is wonderfully supportive, let's me talk and provides reassurance.

Which brings me to your question madre - I never get cross, I just leave it til the morning Smile
