Support, shoulders to cry on, virtual gin and the best cheer leaders MN can offer you. We've been there and it's awful but we'll help each other through to better times.

Did you POAS Sakura? I'm holding out until tomorrow, that will be two weeks after ov. Who is next after me? Mummy when is it your turn? I keep having vivid dreams about getting my period or having a chemical pregnancy and waking up thinking it's true, guess it's the anxiety.
Has anyone seen the film About Time? Apart from them making it look ridiculously easy to have the number of children you want when you want them it is a cute story. The protagonist can time travel but he discovers he can't go back to before his children were conceived as each of them is the result of that exact sperm meeting that egg, so if he relives it he will get a completely different child. I'm not in the "everything happens for a reason" camp Reebok but I think this is a nice way to look at things, at least the waiting part of ttc. I am waiting for the right sperm and egg that will make the person my child will be.

Reebok · 23/07/2015 10:17

Thank you ladies. Just being on this thread is helping. Don't really have anyone to talk to about it and just feeling so lost all the time. fruitlovingmonkey that's a nice way to look at it. I suppose it is right in a way...if I hadn't had my first miscarriage, I wouldn't have my wonderful daughter now. There's a baby waiting out there for all of us...we just have to be patient I guess and wait. (Hard though isn't it?)

Mummyofonesofar · 23/07/2015 10:25

fruit very good holding out testing! Far more will power than me who poas at 7DPO today Blush I have a 12 day LP so my tst date is officially next Wednesday. I haven’t seen that film but it sounds lovely!

MorganLeFey · 23/07/2015 13:58

Mummy We have the same test date! I'm predicting AF due on Thursday from likely ovulation & normal for me 14 day LP but it was a shorter cycle than usual. Convinced I'm having implantation cramps today (!) but determined not to POAS until Monday earliest but trying to hold out till Wed.

I've had 3 consecutive miscarriages & so am on meds (metformin + prednisolone from ovulation) & technically should be testing 10 DPO to see whether to continue the steroids & add in progesterone suppositories.

I completely relate to life on hold while TTC - my current contract ends December but future plans depend on preg status!

Also trying to hold onto the idea that the mc babies weren't meant to be or something but the next one will be... But because of all the testing we know the last one was a genetically perfect little boy so that makes it feel so much harder that the problem is with me. I think if I'm not preg again by his due date in October I'll have a breakdown!

Mummyofonesofar · 23/07/2015 14:28

My test date is the day after AF is due- as technically we shouldn’t have to test until we are late. In my defence I am poas from now because I have lots of boozy plans this weekend and for the next week as I am on holiday visiting family and have lots of days, dinners and nights out planned! I wouldn’t hold out testing if you need to change the drugs if you are pregnant, I would follow the guidelines from your healthcare provider.

Emu123 · 23/07/2015 14:40

Fruit, that's a lovely way to look at it!

MorganLeFey · 23/07/2015 17:53

The problem for recurrent miscarriages is all the specialists say something slightly different & some flat out contradict themselves! E.g. aspirin before BFP/after or not at all, progesterone from 7DPO or BFP & heparin or not.

All my standard NHS tests for the cause came back normal so it's experimental treatment anyway - so I've been reading around a bit & adapted my suggested plan to one I feel most confident with... & picking up a super early chemical preg wouldn't be good for my mental health right now! Smile

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 23/07/2015 20:54

Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok? I'm feeling a little better now, still in bed resting....haven't used opks as was planning on having a break ttc, but couldn't resist when got a load of ewcm, dtd last 3 days....low and behold, intense ovulation pain today! Yay! On right side this time, last two mc's have been from left sided ovulation. Not sure if it will make much difference but we're hoping 3rd time lucky! Still going to go ahead with the fertility blood tests the doctor ordered, but in the mean time...who knows Smile

The 'not so planned' tww starts again!

fruitlovingmonkey · 23/07/2015 22:26

Good luck paws, I don't blame you for having another try since you're feeling better... Besides, what else is there to do on bed rest Wink
Thanks Mummy but it's not willpower. I am a bit scared of the emotional impact of a BFN so I'm being a wuss. I have a lot riding on this cycle. For one thing it's my only chance to get to 12 weeks before my due date and I had a mmc at 12 weeks.
Morgan what a tough time you have had. Fx the meds work and you get to full term. Well done for making sense of all the contradictory advice, it sounds like a nightmare.

Reebok · 23/07/2015 22:58

Can I just ask how long it takes for pregnancy symptoms like sore breasts to go away? Last time I had the erpc and the symptoms disappeared straight away but this time natural miscarriage.

Fruits, I know what you mean about the fear of a bfn. Good luck to all of you on you tww! Think sticky beans!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 23/07/2015 23:38

Thanks monkey, I hope you get your bfp! X
Reebok I think with natural mc it can take longer, it all depends on how quickly your hcg levels drop...can take a few weeks. I had a mmc and lost all pg symptoms around week 8-9, then passed the pregnancy at 10&6 .... So I was loosing my pregnancy very slowly, wasn't until I lost my symptoms that my body realised what was going on, took 2-3 weeks to mc naturally, a month after that ended up with erpc due to retained products! Everyone and every pregnancy is different my lovely, I'm sorry I can't offer any definitive answer. X

fruitlovingmonkey · 24/07/2015 07:03

BFN for me this morning Sad

Mummyofonesofar · 24/07/2015 09:03

Morgan sounds like good reasons lovely.

paws glad you’ve felt strong enough to get back on the horse – I hope you are resting too though!! Good luck for this tww hun.

Reebok to be honest, mine went away before I mcd after my natural, they baby had stopped growing at 6+5 and I found out at 7+5 and my breasts were already normal and I naturally mcd at 8 +1, but I did suffer from a breakout of achne straight afterwards which I think is the hormones settling. As soon as you get a – preg test then they are gone.

fruit sorry for BFN hun xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 24/07/2015 14:47

fruit, I've been calling you monkey!
Sorry bfn hun, which brand did you use? Did you have any pg symptoms? X
mummy I'm having so much rest im actually bored now! Still enjoy it while it lasts ay? I'm sure a rest will do me good x

fruitlovingmonkey · 24/07/2015 15:23

No worries Paws my username is confusing. I don't mind which you call me! My body is playing tricks on me. After the BFN I drank a coffee and it made me feel really sick, could just be because I haven't had one for a while. Also my boobs are big and heavy but I used a Clearblue and at 14dpo it should be accurate, right? Pretty sure I'm out.
Thanks Mummy x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 24/07/2015 16:59

Well I'm not trying to give false hope, but with clear blue digital I didn't get a 1-2wks result until 13dpo, first response are much more sensitive and I was getting positives from 11dpo with them. Perhaps try a first response? I'm pretty certain the result would be accurate with one of those at 14dpo X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 24/07/2015 17:02

How long is your cycle, are you due AF soon? X

fruitlovingmonkey · 24/07/2015 17:45

I'm guessing it will be around 34 days, it was 25 pre MC and 37 last cycle. Today is day 30. I'm getting a few cramps now so maybe AF is coming. Think I will wait and see but thanks for the tip, will stock up on First Response for the future xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 24/07/2015 18:40

No worries fruit. I'm sorry you didn't get the result you were hoping for, I understand that desperation and need to be pregnant by your due date. I was so happy only 17 days ago (pregnant after mmc in April) would have been 6 months pregnant by my due date 5th Nov, then I lost that one too...now the race seems like it's getting harder, and I'm terrified by the idea of not being pregnant (healthily pregnant) by my due date.
Fc we've been successful this month with a sticky one...i think one more mc may take what little hope I have left in having children. Not having any children to be thankful for whilst going through consecutive pregnancy loss is just horrible.
PHEW! Sorry for the rant, I just wanted you to know I sympathise with you with regards to the 'race against the clock'
I remember you saying this was your last attempt that, if successful, would have been in time for your due date? I'm so sorry you haven't had better news hun xxx

fruitlovingmonkey · 24/07/2015 19:00

Thanks for the support, what you are going through is just terrible. I'm amazed you are able to offer such help to others in this time and very grateful for it too.Hope things start looking up and you get a healthy pg in time for your due date. It does add a bit of pressure, doesn't it? I also don't have any children yet, only my fur baby! I only actually got one attempt to get to 3 months before my due date, because of mc related health problems. Hopefully can at least get a BFP before October. Hope someone on here gets their BFP soon. Anyone got symptoms to report?

pocopearl · 24/07/2015 19:39

Hey ladies, Im after a little hand holding if thats ok. Currently in 2ww, have had 4 miscarriages since September. We weren't trying this month we were going to wait until after we had been seen in hospital but one too many malibu's and homemade cocktails... rather frustratingly we got a date for the hospital finally, and we move next week completely out of the area so will have to reschedule everything again, but am hoping we don't have to. Sorry I just am so anxious as clearly I have a problem with carrying (have a ds) but am just so desperate that if a bean is made its a super sticky one with the grip of a thousand strong men.

AtAt · 24/07/2015 19:46

Evening all, hope I can ask for some advice here. I had a mmc in March, and help excellent support on here.

We are TTC. My period is currently 4 days late, but I get a bfn when I did a test this morning. It was a Boots own brand one.
I'm thinking of testing again Sunday if nothing happens. Does that sound a good length of time to leave? I keep getting what I think are period pains, so it may still arrive, but the fact I am late is building my hopes up...

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 24/07/2015 19:49

Oh bless you, I'm sorry fruit, I didn't know you didn't have children either! I also have fur babies (hence my user name) I have three! A 14 yr old black and white moggy who I got at age 13, a 6 year old apricot Siamese who keeps me on my toes, and a 1 year old HUGE ginger tom who is scared of his own shadow!
I find mumsnet has offered me so much support over the last 5 months, so I try to give some back when I can...i popped back onto the 'head wreck mc' thread for a while to try and offer some words of comfort for those who were in our position. Haven't been on there for a while now, I see it as a cycle, each lady who gets support from one thread should return that support before moving on....and we all have to move on at some point for our own sanity, just as when I hopefully move on from here, I will pop back over to try and offer some reassurance for those ttc after mc.
I hope we get our baby soon xxx

CarrotVan · 25/07/2015 08:27

Fx crossed for youpoco

It's always worth leaving 48 hours atat because that's how long it should take hcg to double

fruit Superdrug tests are very good too, and half the price of FR
