So since I last posted a couple of weeks ago a lot has happened. I phoned my gp the day after my heavy red bleed to explain what had happened but wasn't sure if I'd actually miscarried as the heavy bleeding only lasted an hour or so and no clots then tailed off to spotting, she wasn't very helpful at all and basically said that I probably was miscarrying and to still go to my next scan anyway to check either way.
cue nearly two weeks of me being an obsessive knicker checker and losing count of the number of times I've poas to check. I continued to spot and sometimes lightly bleed brown or reddish brown, sometimes even passing small dark clots, yet contined to get strong positives on my tests, all very confusing and extremely stressful!
I went to the epu for my follow up scan this morning and as soon as the sonographer put the scanner on my belly there it was! Heart flickering away measuring 7+5, so it's actually caught up by a couple of days in line with my dates. I was so gobsmacked I just burst into tears (I blame the hormones).
They couldn't see any reason I was bleeding (and still am on and off today) it's a mystery.
However, I have now read the report they gave me which says 'no corpus luteum seen' so I now have something else to worry about, doesn't the corpus luteum produce progesterone in the early weeks? Maybe my progesterone is low I don't know.

Paws congrats on your new pregnancy! Fx for a sticky bean x

ah, that is such lovely news cherry...huge congrats!!!

the corpus luteum is only recorded if it they come across it, otherwise they do not go actively looking for it. If it says in the report 'not seen' it doesn't mean that it is not there. it is not possible to get pregnant without the corpus luteum Smile. Hope the bleeding stops soon, how worrying for you.

emu hope you are ok

paws how is it going?

I'm ok ta coco, how are you doing?

cherry, do you remember my reply to that post you left when you had that gush?
Well if you remember, I didn't want to get your hopes up by telling you about my friend who had a similar experience and all was well, but turned out you're just like her, she had a heavy unexplained bleed, and carried her son to term! Grin .....you have no idea how happy I am to read your news! Its made my day, fx for an uneventful, truely boring pregnancy from now on! Wink

All quiet and boring on my front (just the way I like it) no more bleeding, just good old annoying pg symptoms, tired, moody, wanna slap dh Blush....all the time!?? Bleeding gums, nose, absolute constant sneezing Hmm upset tummy,.....
The list could go on!

7 days and counting till 6 week scan, like counting down the days till Christmas! This pregnancy feels a lot different, so many pregnancy symptoms, and not one migraine (had them constantly with last two pregnancies that mc'd) I've been taking pregnacare conception vits 'his & hers', don't know if it's made any difference but worth a shot! Now on normal pg vits.

This thread is so quiet now? I don't do fb so am not on the mumsnet page... How is everyone, anyone due to test?

cherry i'm so pleased for you and fx it's smooth sailing from here!

I think i'm going to have a break for a while from ttc, whilst we'd love to be pregnant again it's just too hard right now when it doesn't happen.
Thank you for advice and support though and i'm sure i'll be back in the new year Smile

Paws I started taking Pregnacare Original when TTC this time and it's stuck so far. Maybe it's magic!

Hi Everyone, I'm still around and I apologise for not being very active, I'm currently in Turkey on holiday, cd 21. Haven't used opks this cycle, but have fairly regular cycles, trying the relaxed approach as I was getting myself into a right state.. anyway I'm away relaxing and having a good time!

Thanks for your reply coco I'm trying not to let me mind go into overdrive and worry too much, but it's so hard after a previous mc

Paws yes I do remember your lovely reply before, thank you :) up until the scan though I just made myself think the worse, I thought maybe it would somehow be easier if I got bad new if I hadn't got my hopes up and prepared myself for bad new. I don't think I will be able to relax and enjoy my pregnancy until I'm past the point of my last mc though (baby stopped developing at 10 weeks) so I think I will get a private scan at 10 weeks, can't wait til the 12 week scan now! And best of luck for your scan next week Paws I will keep everything crossed for you!

Sakura fx for the relaxed approach, I think sometimes these things are more likely to happen if we don't stress too much about it and think about something else :)

Hi, I'm still around just fed up at minute with it all. I had such a bizarre period this month. I came on as normal last Wednesday, red/pinky blood, light flow on first day, then the bleeding stopped, which has never happened before. All I got for 4 days was the occasional brown discharge when I wiped! Thought it might be implantation bleeding but I've done a cheapo test today and it was negative?! It's really cheered me up reading that quite a few of you lovely ladies have got your bfp ?? xx

Oh my god congratulations fruit !!!!

Thanks for the congrats coco and Mama plus happy 40th birthday !

paws congratulations hun!!! Fingers crossed this is it for you lovely. A scan at 7 weeks sounds perfect, I say both hbs at 6+4 and 6+6 ?? an earlier one is just a worry. Good luck for it in a few days Smile glad to see the bleeding has stopped too.

cherry so glad you saw a lovely heartbeat, congratulations x

My private 8 weeks scan went well, both heartbeats looked perfect, then had a lovely relaxing holiday, 1 week 4 days until my 12 weeks scan, still nervous but feel terrible so guess that is a good sign!

congrats on the scan mummy and cherry

don't think i am going to take a preg test this month. Don't want to be disappointed to see the negative! Thought I didn't ovulate but may be I did. I missed the O any way i think. Temp was soooo erratic this month...but I guess that can be expected from wtf cycle??

Thanks for asking how I'm doing ladies - think from what you've said I had a cm. Seem to be having a wtf cycle now too based on the fact I got a peak reading on my cb test straight from low and on day 9 (usually ovulate around day 16 ffs)

Anyway really glad there is good news on the thread - hope all the pregnancies are progressing well!!

Hi, hope there's room for a little one?! I was originally on the march baby threads (with a different name Wink) but I had a total loss at the start of August at 10+2, after bleeding on and off from week 7.

Anyway, It's cd4 for me and we've agreed we want to start again this cycle so I've been taking my folic acid again, got my CB ovulation tests in and I'm getting ready to get back on the bike so to speak!

Lovely to read good news on here xx

Oh coco sorry you're feeling so low, it is early days though, so fingers crossed this will be your month! Xx

Just to update you all, I had my first scan today at 6 weeks exactly, and we have a heartbeat! I cried like a proper baby Blush

There is hope guys, I had 2 miscarriages before this pregnancy and never saw a hb with the 2 pregnancies that mc'd...everyone has their own journey that is different to everyone else's, and you will all get there in the end. Its shit, and sucks most of the time, but the ens result is so worth it!

Still shittin it that something will go wrong, so fc this pregnancy is uneventful for me...god i hope so, three mc's in a row would kill me I think Confused

Hello lovely ladies! Paws brilliant news so pleased for you. Hi fruit how are you doing? k8liz I've had odd periods before which really messes with your head but from what I know it's not unusual to experience from time to time. Sorry for your loss northern Sorry you'very been feeling low coco hope you're feeling more optimistic?
Got back from holiday yesterday and af arrivedSad... argggg so much for the relaxed approach!!! 4th cycle post mc, I nearly threw out the vitamins yesterday as so upset but I calmed down after a bit, I know I've got to keep going. Dh was about to have a sa done when I discovered I was pregnant back in May, and my Dr's had advised me that if it came back fine next step would be for me to have the blue dye scan (sorry forgotten it's proper name), none of this happened due to BFP but I wonder if they'd still let us have these tests done, what do you reckon? Is it worth contacting my Dr?
