Support, shoulders to cry on, virtual gin and the best cheer leaders MN can offer you. We've been there and it's awful but we'll help each other through to better times.

Thanks paws. Really hope this flu goes soon as it's so hard looking after LO alone while hubby at work. Had a temp at 3am last night. Sad

Welcome coco. I'm so sorry for your loss. Here's hoping you will find comfort in this thread. Wtf cycle is your what the f* cycle...meaning it will be all over the place and messed up after a mc. I'm currently in my wtf cycle. Mc 4 weeks ago and awaiting first AF. We started Ttc straight away and have been taking a laid back approach and not charting etc so I doubt I'm pregnant this cycle. It's been known for some women to get pregnant before first AF arrives..I'm sure someone will be along soon who has conceived straight away. If you are sure you want to Ttc straight away, just ensure you have a negative pregnancy test first to ensure all hormones are gone.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/08/2015 15:08

I believe carrot fell in wtf cycle last month?

Welcome coco sorry for your loss Flowers someone will be along soon that has fallen in wtf c. Xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/08/2015 16:04

Well...the baby's home and crying. Really was hoping they wouldn't come back from the hospital for another few days, not that I was hoping anything was wrong with baby...just that its my fertile phase and dtd is going to be very hard with the sounds of baby overhead, and to top it all off, its the anniversary of the day my dad killed himself too....

Sometimes I wonder if we're put on this earth to be tested?

I'm trying so hard to focus on making our baby, how do I take my mind off what's above my head? Sad

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/08/2015 16:36

reebok hope you're feeling a little better today? Get yourself to doctors tomorrow if you've still got that fever hun...its most probably your hormones trying to sort themselves out, our body's go crazy trying to reset themselves after mc, especially around the time you would be due AF xx

CarrotVan · 16/08/2015 17:42

Sort of but not entirely. I'm not sure the cycle after a cp is as wtf as it usually means there wasn't any implantation. My cycle was pretty normal that time. It was weird after my mc in May though.

Jeez paws can you bugger off to the pub at least?

Sorry for your loss coco sounds like you've had a very tough time

reebok hope you feel better soon.

carrot you have to have implanted in order to obtain a +hpt... You only produce hcg once you have implanted, hence, you can only get a +hpt once you are producing hcg

Yes I think a drink may be in order!

primarynoodle · 16/08/2015 20:35

paws you sound like your having a proper shite time Sad have a glass of wine will you still can and turn the tv up loud

i can totally identify with the jealous rages at the sight of pregnant women and newborns. It bubbles up inside me and i feel so ashamed afterwards - especially for judging how 'deserving' some women are of there bumps because they were smoking/eating mcdonalds/already have a child etc etc Blush Im hoping it will get easier but like some of you im finding it hard not to think about the fact that my bump should be showing now and that is so shit.

me and dp had sex for the first time since i lost my baby and i cried afterwards Blush i need to get a grip!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/08/2015 21:15

Oh noodle you poor love, it does get easier with time, I was starting to get back to the old me about two months after the first mc, but then I fell pg again (was obviously really happy about) and then mc'd again...put me even further back than square one!
Its normal to feel judgmental though, so don't beat yourself up over feeling that way, its your mind's defense mechanism.
Re, dtd with dp for first time, I think I cried after too, I barely made it through it! That definitely gets easier with time, you will feel close again I promise, your bound to be very emotional atm hun...perhaps a glass of wine for you too! But then again my first glass of wine made me cry too...we end up relating everything to pregnancy don't we?

You will be pg again hun, I know its shit, but it really is just about giving yourself time to grieve for your lost little one...be kind to yourself, don't beat yourself up, and remember that it 'will' get better...slowly but surely xxx Flowers

coco808 · 16/08/2015 22:54

Such lovely and comforting words! You ladies are so nice. Reebok thanks for explaining. Wtf cycle now makes me smile...who would have thought!
paws I feel for you...think a large glass of wine is in order

k8liz77 · 16/08/2015 23:12

Thanks lovely ladies for welcoming me. As for counselling and IVF. They briefly mentioned that we could access a counsellor at CARE if we wanted to. I was just desperately hoping that I could get pregnant again naturally and avoid IVF. It sounds really invasive and my hopes have been raised by the clinic because I've got pregnant before. I'm so sorry to hear that other people are suffering and having a tough time. I'm so glad I've found this group though, because if you're not going through it, you just don't understand. Hearing "it'll happen when it's meant to" or the favourite "just relax" is soo frustrating ????

Reebok · 17/08/2015 14:05

Hello all, hope everyone is doing better than me. Turns out I have an ear infection so I'm on antibiotics. Still no AF though so can't even take ibuprofen for the temperature until it's confirmed that I'm definitely not pregnant as it can cause problems. In fact, avoid ibuprofen throughout cycle except for when AF arrives when ttc....just a little heads up for those unaware.
Took a cheap internet test. Came up with a faint line but I think it's in the wrong place so I think it's an evap line. Tested twice and both times it looked like this:

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 17/08/2015 21:31

Thanks coco, didn't have the wine in the end, had horrid headache! X
k8 those comments get on my nerves too, people who haven't been through it just don't understand...but they do try to bless em, I have friends who have/haven't been through it, and both have been great X
reebok hope your ear infection clears up soon! I can't see a line on my phone...only the control line is visible to me, sorry...are you going to test using a first response at all? I don't know how you can keep waiting for af not knowing, I would have caved and tested with a First response way before now! Fingers crossed for you hun! Xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 17/08/2015 21:48

reebok had a look on my laptop...I can see a line of some sort if i tilt the laptop untill the image appears in negative, but it could well be a evap, i had two evaps last month...they were grey/white/shadowy if you kmow what i mean, they had no colour to them. if you want to know before AF does/doesn't turn up, get a First Response hun! x GL x

Reebok · 18/08/2015 00:51

DH is pretty good at helping me to wait to test and as I'm very unwell right now, there's no way for me to go out and get one without telling him. Think it's the flu stopping AF come coming anyway as that like in the test was in the wrong place (I think). Up feeling hungry as I have barely been able to eat today and in pain. Been feeling a little upset today. Keep thinking I should be almost 12 weeks and ready for my first proper scan.

Reebok · 18/08/2015 08:19

Retested this morning with a cheapie as that's all I have and got a really faint line in the right place this time. Could be nothing though so will just retest tomorrow unless AF shows up before then.

Reebok · 18/08/2015 13:59

Ok I have officially lost the plot. Tested twice on the cheapie tests. So I dragged my sick self out and got a SuperDrug brand as there were only digital tests. And I got another faint line. Am worried I'm either imagining it or its chemical as I keep getting cramps when I need to pee and feeling wet down there (sorry!) like I'm going to start. So going to be as negative about this as possible to avoid disappointment.

Ps sorry for all the posts! No one to talk to in RL.

Mummyofonesofar · 18/08/2015 15:56

Hi everyone, I thought I was going to be creeping back here, had spotting Friday and Saturday and really thought the worst as it was the same time as my mc. Had a scan today to check and turns out there are two healthy heartbeats in there! Measuring 6+4 and 6+6! So I am expecting twins. Think I am going to keep my private scan next Thursday to see me past the 8 week mark, especially as we are going on holiday but the hospital said there was no indication anything was going wrong and it all looks positive.

Mummyofonesofar · 18/08/2015 15:57

Nice pink line there Reebok !! Congratulations

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 18/08/2015 17:04

reebok yay!!! congratulations! you definately had a previous bfn after your mc didn't you? if you did, then i would defo say new pregnancy! thats probably why you're so ill...i came down with glandular fever when i was last pg (sadly lost it due to body having to fight such a major infection)
But if you are just ill with cold/flu etc, baby should be fine hun, fc for a sticky healthy one :) xx

mummy omg! mummyofthreetobe more like ;) WOW! thats amazing....such brilliant baby news on here today! congratulations! xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 18/08/2015 17:17

reebok cramping is perfectly normal hun, and you're bound to be feeling a little emotional if you're newly pg...i would try not to worry about the faintness of the lines, if you can hold out and test the day after tomorrow they should get darker, many women dont get strong lines untill the week after af's due! x

Reebok · 18/08/2015 18:24

Congrats mummy! That's exciting news.

Thanks guys...so it looks positive to you even though it's Faint? I'm trying to be cautious just in case. With my LO, I have tonsillitis before I found out and was late before I had a positive. This time it's an ear infection. Yes I definitely had a negative test 2 weeks after the mc just before we started Ttc. I can't help but feel so scared. Twice has been hard enough....don't know if I will survive after a third. Convinced its chemical as I feel like I'm going to start and keep checking.

fruitlovingmonkey · 18/08/2015 18:39

Congratulations mummy, wonderful news x

Cherrypie5 · 18/08/2015 23:22

Congratulations Reebok that looks like a positive to me! I had a faint positive on a super drug test just like that a week ago, tested 3 days later and the line had got stronger. Like you I was paranoid it was a chemical pregnancy as I was convinced af was coming due to spotting last week, however that's stopped now and I tested again today which was a quick and strong Bfp! I am still petrified though, I don't think I will stop worrying until I make it to 12 weeks ok, I might also try and get a scan at 10 weeks which is when my last baby stopped developing as can't bare the thought of going to 12 week scan and it being another mmc.

mummy congrats on the twins! That's amazing, how exciting.

Welcome to anyone new here, I haven't posted much myself but have been following the thread for a few weeks, the ladies here seem very supportive and it's nice not to feel so alone, though people in rl try to be supportive, I find that unless you've been through it yourself it's hard to relate and truly understand. X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 19/08/2015 00:05

reebok yes, definitely positive! I will be feeling exactly the same when I get my next bfp, losing three in a row would kill me. I would say relax, but that would make me a huge hypocrite Wink
Just take it one day at a time...today, you are pregnant...yay! X

cherry wow congratulations to you too! X

That's three on this thread that have fallen pg in first cycle after mc recently!
Wish I could have been one of them, sigh fingers crossed I'll get my bfp in 10-12 days time...dtd every day in fertile period, eod leading up to fertile period, due to O tomorrow or Thursday, only got one opk left though so hopefully get a positive one tomorrow...ive gotten darker ones today, but not quite as dark as the control line, don't know wether to count it as a positive or not? I've had a positive before, and it was clearly indeed positive!

Snooky17 · 19/08/2015 00:26
