Hi ladies, sorry I've been quiet. I needed a bit of down time to try to avoid obsessing about ttc. I've just finished my fertile period and dh was ill for the week so I don't have
much hope for this cycle. Feel bad for not being a sympathetic wifey but why did he have to be ill that week?!
Welcome manatee sorry for your loss.
Autumn perhaps you should pretend she definitely is pg, then you can mentally prepare. The unexpected baby bombs have hit me hardest, I can cope if prepared.
Sorry to all those who are having a hard time atm. I'm off work for August and also dreading going back in September. My due date is early October so I wasn't expecting to go back at all after the summer, then I expected to go back temporarily but with a bump and now it's coming around soon and I'm not even pg.
Tentative congrats carrot I understand the nerves but if it works out it is bloody great news.

OTheHugeManatee · 10/08/2015 15:57

So I'm not the only one gritting my teeth to smile when other people share their pregnancy news then. Have a friend coming for lunch on Wednesday who's now about 20wks. I'm genuinely happy for her as they were TTC for over a year, but it's still hard to smile when I'm also thinking 'I should be 16wks now and showing too' Sad

OTheHugeManatee · 10/08/2015 15:58

And all fingers and toes crossed for you carrots. Really hope it's good news for you and not a CP Smile

Reebok · 10/08/2015 16:03

Welcome manatee. I'm sorry for your loss.

Carrot, I completely understand what you mean. I felt same way with my LO until 20 week scan. Fingers crossed all will be ok.

Autumn I agree with monkey. Just pretend she is pregnant until you get confirmation and hopefully it will help a little.

Still feeling funny today. Tired, back aches, tummy aches, mild cramps, so much phelgm (sorry!!) as my nose is all bunged up, burping non stop and nausea. Think it's a sign of ovulation as before I ttc last time, I came off the pill and experienced awful symptoms like this during ovulation. It was horrible! Sad thing is I can't even dtd right now as my libido has disappeared and I really don't even feel like going near DH! Every time I smell him I feel like throwing up!! I'm an awful wife!

Autumn2014 · 11/08/2015 11:15

Off to meet my friend now. I'm ready to congratulate her if it is pregnancy news. Thanks for letting me prepare myself. X

fruitlovingmonkey · 11/08/2015 12:01

Good luck Autumn. I recommend getting yourself a treat afterwards for being so brave xx

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 12:49

Sorry for your loss manatee this thread was a great support to me.

Autumn I hope the meet up with your friend goes ok lovely.

Still 2 weeks, 2 days until I pass the time of my last mc and 1 week til I had the spotting that indicated baby had stopped growing. Time is ticking by so slowly!!

Cherrypie83 · 11/08/2015 14:54

Hi. I joined this thread a week or so ago but haven't been back since, there's been a lot of posts since then its hard to keep up. I hope you are all ok!

I've had a really rubbish week, after feeling a lot better emotionally since I got my first proper AF post miscarriage, this last week i've been feeling really emotional again, feeling tearful if I think about what happened and being really grumpy with OH.
Anyway, my second period was due around Saturday (that's assuming my cycle has gone back to the length it was before) Saturday came and went and no AF, I tried not to get too excited and decided to wait til the end of the week to test if I hadn't showed up. Then late Sunday evening I had very very pale pink discharge when I wiped only (sorry if TMI!) a few hours later again when I wiped I had some pale brown spotting, so thought right that's it, period will come tonight... Woke up Monday morning and there was nothing, so I caved in and took a test, which was a faint BFP but definitely there! No more spotting for the rest of the day. Woke up this morning and decided to take another test which was BFN (boots own brand) the first I used was superdrug. Now at lunchtime today I had some brown spotting again only when wiping. I think I might be having a chemical pregnancy. I never had spotting with first pregnancy til 11.5 weeks when I started to lose it, so this is new to me. I really don't know what to think now, if Af is coming I wish it would just hurry up! Getting pregnant again first try I knew was too good to be true.

WineSpider · 11/08/2015 21:11

Checking in. So many share experiences. Like many others I also feel tearful, depressed and not very good around pregnant women / newborns.

Had a fairly normal WTF cycle and had a period 27 days after my miscarriage. Thought my body had reset itself so had a good go this month and got a positive OPK to boot.

Got my period yesterday. Very hard not to feel despondent. I know it's only been a month, just relax, yaddah yaddah... I REALLY want to be pregnant, it's all I can think about. YY to feeling your life is on hold.

Had brown spotting from day 21 to 27 until period kicked in so a bit worried about low progesterone.

Ordered some conceive plus and a thermometer to add to the OPK and obsessive CM checking. Roll on this month...

Autumn2014 · 12/08/2015 13:24

Just reporting back. My friend didn't announce a pregnancy and has been off work for another reason. I feel a bit foolish for getting myself all worked up over her cryptic text message but it's obviously an indication of how fragile I am feeling post mc. I'm going to treat this as a practice run for any real announcements and hopefully I've got all the emotions out of my system and can cope better!

CarrotVan · 12/08/2015 17:11

Well that's positive ish, Autumn!

cherry I think Superdrug tests are more sensitive than Boots tests. FX for a definite +

OP posts:
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 18:49

cherry congratulations, sounds like a bfp to me! As carrot just said, Superdrug are the most sensitive ones out there! 10miu I think? So boots brand may be slightly higher, like 25miu?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry yourself about a chemical, every pregnancy is different, you may have had implantation spotting this time that you didn't have last time....and the emotional sensitivity and grumpiness I would put down to....dare I say it...pregnancy hormones!

Fingers crossed for you x

CarrotVan · 12/08/2015 18:53

I have a bit of brown spotting today but a very strong line. It's minimal, nothing when I wipe so I'm hoping it's ok. It's the point at which my CP happened last month so I could do without it!

How are you doing paws?

OP posts:
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 19:01

mummy hope time speeds up a bit for you, the waiting game never ends does it! X
wine sorry no bfp for your hard efforts, completely normal for it to take several months though, as shit as it is! It will happen soon hun, keep up the hard work! Also don't worry yourself over low progesterone, I think we read so much on the good old internet and self diagnose without question, but spotting for a couple of cycles after mc can simply be your hormones trying to sort themselves out.
Keep an eye on it, if its still happening next cycle (that's if you don't already have your bfp) pop to the docs to get some advice. X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 19:16

carrot bless you for asking, I'm simply going one day at a time hun, got my blood tests back today, still have the glandular fever virus in my blood, so have to wait another 4 weeks to have them taken yet again to check its gone before I can go ahead with my fertility blood tests....pffft, always counting down the days to something lol! I've given up on checking cp, it makes me have horrid pain in my cervix, like daggers! Just gonna use opk's, temp/bbt, cm, ff and pregnacare conception vits (as if all of that wasn't enough anyway) perhaps my finger nails irritate it? I wouldn't consider them particularly long or sharp, but hey ho, lesson learned, no cp checking for me, I pay for it every time!

With regards to the spotting, as long as its brown hun, try to relax....easier said than done I know! Even red spotting is normal to some extent! I can imagine how nervous you are, have been thinking of all you ladies who got your bfp's and wondering how your getting on!

Good sign that the lines are getting stronger though ay? Try to think of that whenever you find yourself worrying over the spotting!

Keeping everything crossed for all you mummies-to-be Xx

CarrotVan · 12/08/2015 19:29

This month I switched onto Pregnacare after trying different brands and so far this pregnancy is doing better

OP posts:
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 20:49

carrot what's your story? You had a chemical last month when I had my 2mc, we got our bfp's the same time as fruit and we all mc'd the same time didn't we? My mind is foggy atm, can't really remember! I had my first mc in April, second in June.....you?

I'm hoping 3rd time lucky, I know we shouldn't really be 'trying' as my bloods still show the glandular fever virus, but that was 6 weeks ago and I feel fine now, I just can't help but throw myself into ttc every month, its like a reflex now....have to do it, just can't help it!

I think mc's make you a little bit crazy Confused lol X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 20:55

Crap...meant 2nd mc in 'July'

Not june

CarrotVan · 12/08/2015 21:18

MC at 6wks in May, CP in July, currently hoping this one will stick. MCs totally make you crazy. I'm testing twice a day at the moment and just ordered more tests!

OP posts:
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 12/08/2015 23:23

Sorry for your losses carrot... I'm sure everything will be fine, we just have to believe it will...not that hope can change what's going to happen, but hope is better than fear. I don't blame you for testing everyday, I know I will be when I get my bfp! Keep us posted how you get on won't you. Xx

Reebok · 12/08/2015 23:54

carrot keeping my fingers crossed for you Hun. Can you ask doc to refer you to epu? Brown spotting should be ok. It's red that's not so good although even then you can bleed heavy and be ok. Stay positive and rest lots. I know it's easier said than done.

paws sorry to hear you're still unwell.

I keep feeling like I'm going to start...peeing like mad which is usually a sign of an impending period. But still no AF. It's 4 weeks since my mc on Saturday. Having these strange shooting pains downstairs at times too which kind of throw me off! My mojo still hasn't come back so I have no idea how on earth I'm going to conceive when I haven't had even the slightest desire to dtd in over a week. As a result, DH is being a huge grump! He really does not understand hormones!

CarrotVan · 13/08/2015 07:18

I'm going to the EPUB a week on Monday for blood tests and an early scan. It's self referral here. The spotting seems to have stopped and a nice strong line this morning so hopefully it was just deeper implantation

reebok were you tracking ovulation?

OP posts:
Mummyofonesofar · 13/08/2015 08:28

Let us know how you get on Carrot I hope the spotting was nothing to worry about hun. My bloods are Tues & Thurs.

paws sorry to hear you still have the fever in your system. I hope when you get tested again it is gone and you can really crack on with tests to get you some answers.

Autumn glad it wasn't a pregnanct announcement, post mc does make you crazy!

CarrotVan · 13/08/2015 08:41

The EPUB should have been EPU. I'm not going to a virtual pub

Roll on the 24th!

OP posts:
Mummyofonesofar · 13/08/2015 08:59

Is it 24th you are being seen? I thought you meant Monday 17th
