I got my smiley a week last Sunday? so 11dpo? is that right? So yeah - still possible

Brummiemum87 · 02/07/2015 08:09

Kaz2112 congratulations on the new job!! Fab news! Sorry you got a bfn this morning, you're still early so hopefully you'll get your bfp in next few days.

I didn't contact hosp yesterday as I retested in afternoon & it was still so faint so thought I'd wait till this morning to check & I'm pleased to say the line is still there & slightly darker! Will ring hosp at 9 to see what they say.
Not so good news is that my little boy who is 3 has woken up covered in chicken pox!!Shock I know I definitely had it as a child so I'm hoping that means I'm immune.

Brummiemum87 · 02/07/2015 08:11

genwah85 I was given 3 months supply of ovulation tests & I was given 12 pregnancy tests...I did think 12 wouldn't be enough for 3months if they're expecting you to test from 7dpo.

Kazz2112 · 02/07/2015 08:15

I got 3 packs of ovulation tests and 20 pregnancy tests so that's definitely not enough Genwah. any news from you?

philippa88 · 02/07/2015 09:48

Congrats on the job kazz!! And super congrats to you brummie!! Let us know what the hospital says :)

I've got an appt today to get my last batch of injections! Scary to think I'll not be having them :s
Saw the midwife for my booking appt yday and was given a pack etc, it's kind of made it seem more real!
Oh laughs at me... If I have cramp or random pains, I'm worried. If I don't have cramp or random pains, I'm worried! Honestly I just wish I could chill about it. Anyone else like that? X

Choccywoccydodah · 02/07/2015 13:09

Ffs kazz :( still not over!!

Brummie!! Yippee!! Hope you got an appt ok!! Re chicken pox, my ds got it when I was just over 7 weeks, I was told all ok as long as I'd had it already. Also told you can't catch shingles from chicken pox so that's good news :) Hope he doesn't suffer too much, thankfully my ds got away with only a few spots and back himself within a few days.

Philippa, yey on your last pack!!! Totally get you on the pain/lack of!!

Kazz2112 · 02/07/2015 15:47

Just had an email from my Response Research nurse. The trial research company have set a date of the 1st October to stop randomising.Confused

No pressure then!

clairemorgan81 · 02/07/2015 15:49

so if not pregnant by then you will come off trial kazz?x

Kazz2112 · 02/07/2015 16:33

Basically yeah. No one new will be randomised after 1st October. If I'm not pregnant now it gives me 3 more attempts assuming my cycles stay exactly 4 weeks! Confused

clairemorgan81 · 02/07/2015 16:44

same here kazz Sad x

Brummiemum87 · 02/07/2015 17:02

Hoping you ladies get your bfp before trial ends! There's still hope for this month.

I rang hospital today & I've been asked to go in tomorrow morning for to collect my first batch of medication...does anyone know what first appointment entails & how long I should expect to be there? I'm so nervous about the injections, I'm not good with needles & my husband is even worse lol I know how much I want this to work so I know I'll have to bite the bullet & do it, should be used to it after a few days...I'm hoping!! Hmm

philippa88 · 02/07/2015 17:43

No pressure at all! Fingers crossed you're all pregnant before then :)

Brummie it's all quite long winded! They take plenty of blood, I think about 8-10 vials? They do basic stats so height, weight, blood pressure etc, then ask you when you got your smiley. Your details are put into a computer and you get 'randomised', the long waiting is mainly for the pharmacy to do the prescription! Normally mine take about 2 hours! :/ You are then shown how to do the needles and diary, I get my oh to do mine as I don't have the bottle!! Then after your first injection you have to wait and hour to make sure there are no side effects, I think they redo your blood pressure etc then too maybe. Once all that's done off you go! It's easier than you think honest :) xx

philippa88 · 02/07/2015 17:43

Oh and we were there for 5 hours in total! X

Genwah85 · 02/07/2015 18:41

Another bfn for me this morning :( I haven't had an email? I might give them a call as would like to know how long I've got, Eugh the last 2 times we tried we caught straight away, typical it wouldn't happen the month we tried!

Indiedog · 02/07/2015 19:55

Brummie, as Phillipa said. I was there about 4 hours.
Details, vital statistics, randomised, waiting for syringes, get syringes, shown and DO the first one, wait an hour, and then vital stats again.
Then off you go with your syringes.

Depending on the time you take your first injection, you can gradually move the time by four hours either way.
So my injection was midday, and I was racing home at lunch to do it. So I moved it to four o clock.
As long as your within 20-28 hours of the last injection.

Keeping everything crossed for all you ladies, hoping and praying it happens for your all soon xx

Choccywoccydodah · 02/07/2015 20:19

Brummie I got there at 8.45 and left at 2.30! It's not a quick process.
I used to do my injections at about 11am but I'm home all the time so it's easy, had I worked I'd have done it in the evening as if I did it in the morning and forgot I'd be screwed as I'd be out all day.

I was told about the October thing today too as I spoke to research mw, exact words I used about the no pressure then! I just thought it was new people signed up in June that only had til then, not everyone :(

Kazz2112 · 02/07/2015 21:51

I'm the same Genwah. Got caught within 2 cycles every time we tried last year. 7 months since last mc and despite not actively avoiding it for the first few months and very actively trying now for 3 cycles we've had no luck. Sad So disheartened!

Kazz2112 · 03/07/2015 06:07

Looks like another bfn for me. Now going to get in the shower and have a good cry. I feel so frustrated! I just don't know what else we can do! Sad Sad Sad Sad

clairemorgan81 · 03/07/2015 06:32

sorry kazz I know exactly how your feeling. 7 months since my last mc and we 've tried ever since with no luck. big hugs its so tough xx

Kazz2112 · 03/07/2015 06:42

I just don't know what we can do differently. The only difference between now and the first three times i fell pregnant is that I've put on weight bit were talking about 10lb. Not stones and stones. I'm 12dpo one and just feel.like that's it for this cycle. another down the drain

Genwah85 · 03/07/2015 07:40

I feel same Kazz I really expected too just catch again, and I'm so frustrated only thing I can think of is that this is my first cycle since last miscarriage and maybe that had something to do with it, my af it's due in 3 days so just need to suck it up I suppose :( xx

philippa88 · 03/07/2015 07:46

Oh kaz, there's not much more you can do but believe it will happen. I know how much it sucks to hear all those cliches, but they are true, matters have been made worse due to the whole 1st October thing :/

Strangely for me, every 4th cycle we fell - BUT my weight fluctuated loads during that time and it never affected conception. My bmi's 35 now so I'm pretty overweight - reassuringly though, it never seems to have affected our fertility. Try not to get hung up on possible factors, remind yourself you and your do are doing all you can. Hugs x

Choccywoccydodah · 03/07/2015 07:50

Kazz I'm so sorry, it's so frustrating :(
Not saying it is the problem, but when I fell with this one, I'd just spent theonth before doing Jillian Michaels 30 days shred and eating super healthy. I lost my xmas and holiday weight (12lbs) and felt so much better in myself. We'd just had 3 months off trying too so I was ready to get at it. I think it just boosted me in the right direction and made me more confident trying again. Again, not saying that's the problem, but if you feel good in yourself I believe it helps massively xx

Choccywoccydodah · 03/07/2015 07:50

Ps af isn't here yet ;)
