TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

PrtyPsn · 27/06/2015 07:53

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Sorry to hear that Prty, so gutting. I kind of got some relief after a day or so of af purely because it was no longer on my mind - am I aren't I! Next week is my week to DTD, terrible to say but I really can't be arsed! Making sure DD is asleep, legs are shaved etc! Toooo much effort but got to be done! It'll be purely for conception not enjoyment! TMI! Xxxx

AlwaystheGodmother · 08/08/2015 22:43

Oh Prty that's nothing but a massive kick in the vag. Thinking of you xx

Annie2311 · 08/08/2015 22:47

Oh prty, so sorry to hear that. Doesn't matter how much you prepare yourself to be rational, cool and breezy, if it doesn't happen it always feels totally gutting. Try and use this time to enjoy not thinking about it if you can. And get yourself (or get OH to get you) a 'poor me-this is bollocks' treat of some kind: cake/booze/clothes/a punchbag to take the frustration out on - whatever you feel like- you deserve a treat.

Stripes1983 · 08/08/2015 23:35

Really sorry to hear that Prty , sending hugs xx

Annie2311 · 09/08/2015 10:01

Morning all, AF due today (according to My Days app) but she has been 2 days late for the last 3 months and I've ended up POAS and getting disappointed. So fully expecting AF on Tuesday if previous experience is anything to go by. No real symptoms, slightly sore boobs and occasional tummy pain- all in all pretty standard AF stuff. Attempting to be realistic (hopefully not pessimistic) with myself as the previous attempts I've definitely been carried away and utterly convinced I'd get a BFP.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today x

neetie1 · 09/08/2015 10:05

Hey prty sorry hun... don't forget we are cycle buddies so are bound to get our BFP at the same time lol Fx'd for this month.. Day 1 of Ov test today , last month was 5 to get my smiley face so hoping for the same again..

AlwaystheGodmother · 09/08/2015 10:50

FX for Annie & neetie.
Hope Prty has treats planned - great idea suggested before- for this weekend even tho I know you won't be drinking! Remember, love, it's all part of the human condition to feel hopeful, sad, angry, frustrated & (whisper) jealous of those it happens easily for. All those qualities will help you be a wonderful empathic mum one day x

In other news this week I went for reflexology with someone who specialises in fertility. Has been a dire week at work but lady is hopeful she can get my cycle on track - Banana could help you too? She also warned me decaf tea bags (I am on 1-2 cups of caffeinated tea a day at mo ; had 4 on Friday and was OFF MY FACE) are often packed with chemicals so won't always be as good as you think? We are to look out for organic ones apparently? Also said diet items with sugar (aspertim i think it is tho spelling may be wrong?) can be detrimental to potential mums and dads so reduce those if possible eg fizzy drinks, cordial, sauces, etc. Also suggested liquid iron supplements can be helpful so get necking the Floradix - esp handy when on your period too. End of lecture but hope someone finds it handy too. Back this week for more. Currently think am 6DPO on my crazy cycle & feel tired tho more to do with stupid work than physical changes methinks. Sending happy thoughts to everyone on here for a sunny Sunday.

MummyBex1985 · 09/08/2015 10:53

Sorry to you prty. Still no AF here but I feel like shit today so that's probably a sign it's on it's way.

Went to a friends BBQ last night and got yet another PG announcement - so frustrating.

(I probably ended up drinking far more than I should have but meh, back on the wagon today)

PrtyPsn · 09/08/2015 14:19

Thanks for your thoughts everyone - what would I do with you lovelies?!
Well called godmother not a drop has passed these lips! Was tempting but held off!
I have switched to decaf soft drinks and decaf coffee cos I drink tons of loads. Thanks for the info.
Out with some friends and their kids today, a stranger mistook OH for the youngest's dad in passing... nobody corrected him cos my friends thought it was just too funny, me and OH thought it was just too upsetting and shared a heartbreaking look.

Getting cross with lack of af now. I need to get on with ttc as i need af out of the way to get on with...(looks around for chocolate). Hope you and dh are ok prty.

Annie2311 · 10/08/2015 22:11

Hey rach, no AF here either. Feel weirdly calm about it- tomorrow will be two days late which has been the form for the last 3 months so fully expecting her to appear tomorrow. Could be a good sign for you that she's not here though? Have you thought about when you might test yet? Know what you mean about wanting to get on with it- I'm raring to go for next months try (once AF has turned up then buggered off) have just ordered conception-helping lube on Amazon! Willing to give anything a try!

Sunflower86 · 10/08/2015 22:32

Hi all, im new to the TTC world but i hope you can help with my confusion! I hoped i would just be casual about ttc and we would see if AF turned up but theres been weirdness with me this month and im wondering if anyone else has had something similar?

Ive had ovulation twinges before (maybe once every 6 months)so when i got that this month i thought it was a helpful sign from the universe. However i had spotting that night which ive NEVER EVER had before, some googling said it could be ovulation bleeding but why would i just suddenly get it? (weird...) We tried anyway for a few days and now ever since ive continued to have really light spotting since 3dpo, first barely pinkish now barely brown (sorry for detail).its super light, only noticeable when i wipe(again, sorry). Is this all good signs or something i should get checked out for?

namaste30 · 10/08/2015 22:40

well I am officially on period watch. It is my day. I however, am totally convinced it is going to be the month. I am turning into a complete psycho. I nearly bought a reduced bouncy chair ( ours was discarded in the move) at aldi. I had to slap my hand and mutter to myself. I POAS this morning and there was something, nothing convincing enough to post or show DH, but it was a cheapo strip one. I was hoping that it would have been more by now if the last one was bfp...i looked to see if there was a 'level' of HCG it picked up but nothing.

My boobs still heavy ( usual for this time) no pizza face still and this morning had a really (sorry tmi) red and itchy minnie inside this morning. Thought it was thrush starting but it went away.

Annie and Rach.... how the heck are you managing to be so NONCHA-BLOODY-LANT? I am in awe of you ladies. I am a complete psycho! Any news MummyBex

neetie1 · 11/08/2015 07:39

Morning well did ov kit today and we have flashy smiley face... so next few days are key. Dtd before hubby went to work fingers crossed for this month

londonrach · 11/08/2015 07:43

Name...af arrived this morning. I know she was on her way as i had no symptoms at all. Just being late meant next month would be later ttc. Am considering seeing gp re clomid now as worried its taking so long. Good look name. Hope annie your af stays away, fingers crossed. X

PrtyPsn · 11/08/2015 07:45

(bursts onto the thread flinging armfuls of chocolate at everyone)
Well that was a shitty AF to get through! Sorry I've been such as awful OP, all selfish and wallowing Hmm
Hopefully AF is off today so I'm right back on it!!
Good to hear of the positive OPK netie make the most of it!!
namaste FX'd for further tests Smile
annie and rach keep us updated with any and all symptoms and of course any POAS!!
New poster (sorry, I can't remember your name and can't flick back on the app!) I would think 3dpo is a little early for spotting and it normally only lasts a day or two... I would keep a close eye on it

Annie - my friend who is pg in her first month of trying for DC2 reckons the gel is what worked for her so let us know what you make of it!
Hola Prty no need to apologise - currently cranky as he'll myself as think AF will be here by weekend. Cramping like a mofo, light CM & deeply irritated by everything with a hint of nausea. What's not to enjoy huh?

AlwaystheGodmother · 11/08/2015 08:14

Good luck namaste & neetie - that's fab news..
Sorry rach hope not a humdinger for you.

Annie2311 · 11/08/2015 08:30

Morning all, after a sleepless night of THE worst cramps I've ever experienced, AF swanned in this morning. Bleurgh. rach I'm sharing a massive bar of chocolate with you across the forum this morning. Onwards to cycle 5 I suppose- The One With The Lube...

Harrumph. This bit sucks doesn't it? x

MummyBex1985 · 11/08/2015 08:47

Well still no AF and its now six days late. Don't really have any PH symptoms now so I doubt it's that.

It did amuse me to log into Ovia this morning and find that even my app was confused, suddenly it has no idea when my fertile window is and when I should be testing.

At least I'm not the only thing that's confused Grin

MummyBex1985 · 11/08/2015 08:47

PG, not PH! Lol

AlwaystheGodmother · 11/08/2015 09:20

So Bex.... how many tests have you done?! This happened to me last month - 12 days late (as much as you can be when your cycle is nuts like mine) & was horrible. Sending Brew & Cake!
Annie - that's bobbins. Really bobbins. And how typical to be a humdinger as well, like an extra reminder it's there isn't it? It is suck but we are all with you. The One with the Lube made me chortle. And allegedly it does work?! Vino for you, my love Wine x

PrtyPsn · 11/08/2015 10:25

Bleurgh! Sorry to hear of the AF's rach and annie on the positive at last you have sync'd up into cycle buddies now :)
the One With The Lube pahahahaha!! We shall watch with interest before rushing out to buy tons! On a side note I popped into Superdrug yesterday to restock and they were sold out of PG tests too, just like Asda last week!! Seriously, I'm convinced you all live here! can you please stop hoarding the sticks!!
bex I find Clue starts changing it's mind when my AF is delayed, it's like 'yeah, yeah, DTD now, now NOW!!!' during the cycle, then when AF doesn't appear it's all 'ha, fooled ya, shoulda been doing it then not the 15 days before that... idiot'

MummyBex1985 · 11/08/2015 12:54

Prty that literally made me LOL and now I'm getting weird looks from strangers outside my work!! Grin

Godmother I've only done two HPTs this cycle but I didn't have a positive OPK this month - I don't think I did them at the right time so decided to abandon and go back to OPKs next month and just DTD every couple of days.

I hate that BFN so I'm resisting and testing weekly until AF arrives. I have no hopes of being PG at this stage and I still have an irregular cycle so there's a good chance it's just my body being an arsehole to me as usual.

AlwaystheGodmother · 11/08/2015 13:22

I hear ya Bex - my body is a mega arsehole too. There's a lot of us. Friend of mine got pregnant on day 9 of her cycle but based on my recent experience I'd still have frickin AF then! I admire your no testing stance.

Is anyone using Glow? I have started that as well as Period Tracker - think one of you lovely lot recommended it.
