TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Morning my lovelies!
DBAFD 1! Feels like bloody D-Day or something!! No pg symptoms to report but some occasional AF type cramping so I suspect she's on her way Confused

Same here. I feel like I've been sitting on the sofa for the last week trying to work out if these twinges and pains are PMT or pregnancy! I've had what feels like ovulation pain since about Day 10 past ovulation, but yesterday it did start to feel more like typical period pain. I've also got that heavy, constipated feeling I normally get with PMT. My breasts are a lot more sore and heavy than they normally are though. I also haven't had the emotional side of PMT that I normally get. I'm quite new to tracking so don't have many cycles to go on. If I have a 26 day cycle (which I think I do) then I'm a day late, but if it's any longer then I still have a few days to go. Would be really helpful if these symptoms weren't the same for both!

LifeIsGood14 · 03/08/2015 11:49

Really hope it isn't AF prty FX'd.
If it is though I hope she hurries the f##k up and let's you focus on next month! My AF is taking her time to clear off.

I came to the conclusion last night that the symptoms I had during TTW this time were probably symptoms of stopping the pill- acne, cramping, mood swings, back ache Envy

PrtyPsn · 03/08/2015 11:56

Hi sophia if you think you are a date late have you tested yet?
life thanks, I'm feeling the same - either show up so I can crack on or don't but I don't want no BFN this week!!!
I guess yours could have been pill stopping issues. Seems that's another condition that causes the same bloody symptoms!

Same Life - not only was AF late, she's now taking an age to bugger off! I really really really hope I can be more relaxed about it all this month, just need to go with the flow and keep busy!

Everything's crossed for you Prty Grin

Sophia1984 · 03/08/2015 13:12

Hi PrtyPsn. I haven't as I think I'm probably just imagining it and my period will start any day now! This is the first month we have been actively trying, and we're 'just seeing what happens' so testing would make it seem a bit real! I only think I have a 26 day cycle based on 2 months, so it's probably longer than that really. If I haven't welcome AF by the end of the week I'll get a test :-)

PrtyPsn · 03/08/2015 16:29

New symptom - could be AF or pg though :/ emotional to the extreme! Just had a good cry cos some idiot has parked in my space outside my house and I've had to park a street away Hmm didn't even have the emotional strength to unpack my shopping, just locked the car up then cried as I walked back to my house

LifeIsGood14 · 03/08/2015 17:13

Oh no prty that sucks! Take a deep breath. I too am so more emotinal now and get stressed out so much easier! Pill withdrawal symptom I think for me! Hope you feel a little better now after a good cry! X

pinky17 · 03/08/2015 17:34

Oh bless you Prty. On the other hand, if it is a preggo symptom then you cry girl! I can't remember being emotional with #1, I think I was more anxious. Feet up tonight for you, lots of yummy food and crap telly!

PrtyPsn · 03/08/2015 18:06

Thanks pinky and life OH is home and gallantly stood in a closer parking spot in our street while I ran round for the car then he unloaded it lol feeling pretty dumb right now!
I've had like a nervous stomach today but just the fluttery stomach, not actually anxious. I suspect it's just cos I'm under some pressure at the min with a lot of stuff - the weekend saw the return of a recurring nightmare I suffer from, usually when times are tough and I'm stressed.

Oh prty my love! Selfish parking induced crying sounds like a symptom to me! What a bastard. Go and put a potato in their exhaust pipe.

I missed my tube station by 2 stops today. Is dappiness a symptom? Confused

pinky17 · 03/08/2015 21:35

OH's are good for some things! Bless you, try and chill out. We tend to put so much pressure on ourselves when we're so desperate or looking forward to something. Everything is niggling me at the moment; my job, the constant slog of keeping the house in order, money. TTC has taken my mind off it, but it's still there! I feel like I could crack and turn into an emotional mess quite often! Chin up xxx

Hello, first time posting. Don't know if this is the right place to post this.

But I'm on the implant, and I'm having symptoms of early stages of pregnancy. I was wondering whether you could get pregnant off the implant.

PrtyPsn · 03/08/2015 22:22

Yeah, OH has been a little gem tonight :)
Early baby brain annie? Lol!
I do need to have some destress time, just too much going on I think Hmm
waleslife I'm not sure how effective the implant us as a contraceptive, do you normally have periods?

DBAFD - 0!! Didn't it feel like the longest time this month? Thanks for counting with me!
So I had to give myself a pep talk before I could wipe this morning lol but there's nothing yet. No discolouring but I know that doesn't mean she can't just show up in an hour or two.
Had some awful pains last night, really low down cramps - brief but stronger cramps than I've had in years. Fully expected to have ruined my bed sheets when I got up haha!

Well done prty! You made it! Now let's just hope she stays away. FX'd for you xxx

LifeIsGood14 · 04/08/2015 07:41

Really hope it's not AF! Keep us updated prty Fingers, toes, arms, legs (for now!) crossed!!

AlwaystheGodmother · 04/08/2015 07:47

Are you doing another test today Prty? I feel like all my unfertilised eggs are in one basket with you AF Waiters at the moment.....

PrtyPsn · 04/08/2015 07:53

Thanks ladies :) I think she's on her way but I'm trying to stay positive about the whole thing
Not planning to test until Thurs - I have on odd occasion gone to 29 days on my shorter cycles so will let that come and go before testing (if I make it that far!)
This mornings twingy cramps are more like a stitch than anything else but obviously lower down - feel a little sick too but that could be nerves/excitement/anticipation/hunger!

Annie2311 · 04/08/2015 11:50

Really struggling today ladies. DBAFD 5, symptoms 0. I had such vivid dreams about people telling me they were pg in various ridiculous ways and I woke up in a sweat with my heart racing. I can't seem to be patient and rational about it or put it out of my mind-grrrr!

PrtyPsn · 04/08/2015 12:41

Awww annie big hugs to you, my lovely Envy I don't know if it's worth being symptomless or spotting 60 a day! Just because there's no symptoms doesn't rule you out - lots of people don't feel/know they are pregnant for weeks and months sometimes! Chin up xx

Hello! Thought I would post as have been following this topic! My AF was due yesterday, first month of no contraception but haven't calculated dates etc so can't really class this month as trying? Lol so took a CB digital with conception time at lunchtime and came back with a BFN. I have never before had sore boobs and never also felt as crap as I have been and also been regular with my periods. What to think hey? I have been so certain as I 'just feel different'. Others in similar boat? could I seriously be pregnant still? My AF doesn't feel like it will make an appearance as other than a headache I have no symptoms!

PrtyPsn · 04/08/2015 16:52

Hi Orchid some of this may depend on what contraception you were formally using? For example the combined pill forces a monthly bleed but it's not a true period. Also coming off any kind of chemical/hormonal contraception will effect your body and give you AF/pg type symptoms.
Of course there's every chance you are pg if you have had unprotected sex and it may be too early to detect/levels too low.
I'm afraid the only way is to wait and keep testing if no AF :/ feel free to rant, whine, shout, cry, laugh and ask any questions here though - as I'm sure you've seen we are pretty friendly and supportive!
