TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Happy weekend ladies!!
My basal thermometer arrived today, OH asked why I'd bought one so I carefully explained how tracking your temp is a good way to see if I'm ovulating, especially with my unevenly skewed cycles. He looks at me deep in thought, all serious and contemplating... then says 'so you're shoving that up your foof then?' He is this generation's Byron Grin

Hehe they do know how to put things delicately don't they. Well the headaches are continuing and cramping is coming and going. No change in breasts but don't get changes for af.

PrtyPsn · 25/07/2015 17:14

Oh yes!! I explained orally was more than accurate enough for now haha!
Remind me where you are in your cycle neetie?
According to my calculations and the apps I'm in TWW now (for a few days by my working but from today according to app) still not had a positive OPK (been testing since CD10 and now CD18) I've no idea what to think!

Currently 7 dpo at the mo so another week to wait..

PrtyPsn · 25/07/2015 17:25

Those 7 days will fly past in no time, FX'd for you, my lovely Smile

Hope so, doesn't help that I'm off work for the summer hols ( I teach) so lots of time on my hands.

Stripes1983 · 25/07/2015 20:20

Haha Prty - glad you put him straight on which end it goes in Wink ! Let us know how the charting goes as I may invest in a thermometer :) AF has finally buggered off for me so I'm going for it this cycle - watch out OH !

Stripes1983 · 25/07/2015 20:21

And fx's neetie and bella !

PrtyPsn · 25/07/2015 21:27

Haha stripes I did almost tell him the instructions say it can be used rectally but I didn't think it was worth opening that can of worms!! Will report on temping as soon as I work out when I'm suppose to start! Another negative OPK today, been having light lines the past few days and it seemed darker today but I don't know Hmm

OP posts:
Stripes1983 · 25/07/2015 21:44

Haha Prty think that was a good call! I had the same last cycle had a couple days at the start of my fertile week with a faint line and then nothing , going to try testing a bit earlier though this cycle as have different dates on the apps so hoping I get a positive opk this time ! Just watching one born every minute to torture myself !

PrtyPsn · 25/07/2015 21:52

I don't even know what to trust - the OPK, my calculations, the app... hopefully temping will clarify rather than add to my list of mistrustful ovulation counters!
Noo OBEM is not good viewing - not while TTC or pregnant! Remember it's made for TV so there's no measure of 'normal' or average - just the really lovely or really dramatic! Also watch those hormones throws you a box of tissues

OP posts:
Stripes1983 · 25/07/2015 21:56

Aww Prty I feel your frustration , hopefully like you say temping will clarify things for you!

Lol I know - I'm my own worst enemy - on my own though waiting for OH To get back , as he has been up since before 7am and driven to Portsmouth and back today I'm not sure he will be up for DTD Hmm

PrtyPsn · 25/07/2015 22:12

Then turn off OBEM and use the time wisely - doing all those little things that will make you even more irresistible than you already are for when OH walks through the door Smile

Annie2311 · 26/07/2015 01:14

Ha prty, love the thermometer chat with your OH... Instructions for use: 1. Remove all packaging. 2. Shove up foof. 3. Take reading.

FX'd for you neetie! And stripes, I hope he walked through the door and swept you off your feet.

Along with avoiding OBEM, can I also recommend avoiding Ikea... It's torturous and argument inducing anyway but I had to go today and I think I was the only woman in there without a baby or a bump. I had to have a hot dog to make myself feel better!
According to my app I O on Monday but am trying to cover all bases by DTD every other day at least. Maybe I need to think of more romantic dates than Swedish furniture shops!

PrtyPsn · 26/07/2015 07:49

Hahaha annie I don't think he had got as far as remove all packaging!! Perhaps he felt threatened by it... pahahahaha Grin poor OH!
Argh! I bloody love IKEA as well, but now you mention it there are a lot of babies and bumps about. Well done you though, I would have had 2 hot dogs!
FX'd for this cycle, my lovely - make the most of this fertile widow... aka happy shagging Grin

Stripes1983 · 26/07/2015 10:33

Thanks Annie - it wasn't so much sweep me off my feet but he wasn't that tired Wink
Agree on ikea ! At least at my local one you can divert a little and avoid going through the children's section ! Fx for you this cycle !

PrtyPsn · 27/07/2015 07:20

How does Monday roll round so quickly??
Looking for some input, ladies! Currently on CD20, I'm thinking its a 28 day cycle based on past patterns (longish around 34 days then shorter around 28 days on alternate months) so I reckon I ovulated on CD15. My app has merger my long and short cycles and averaged me out to a 31 day cycle - it thinks I ovulated CD18.
Been using OPK since CD10 but never had a positive result though the test line seems to be getting darker day by day but not dark enough to be a positive (don't know if that means anything though - BFN is still BFN, right?)
I've had EWCM from around CD12-13 but this morning I'm back to dry, kinda creamy.
So do I keep using OPK since I'm now between 8-10 days away from possible AF but never had a positive? Dodgy tests or dodgy womb??

Hi prty I sometimes found non digital opks hard to read - even when mine were positive on digi they were fainter than the control line on the regular (I also used boots). Not sure re regularities and stuff but digital might be your best shout for future? Hope it all goes well x

neetie1 · 27/07/2015 08:41

I didn't get a positive OPK when I used the non digital ones. When I switched to digital the following month it took five days to get a positive smiley face.

Annie2311 · 27/07/2015 11:21

Hey prty, I can't advise on OPK as I haven't tried them but from what I've read (too much!) EWCM is as good a sign as any and so take that making an appearance as a positive indicator of imminent O, which means it should have happened round about when you thought. No harm in carrying on DTD though hey! xx

LifeIsGood14 · 27/07/2015 12:20

Hi ladies,

Back from our holiday, had no signal and AF didn't make an appearance. She was due yesterday... I felt like I was going to come on, period cramps and moody but then nothing. I feel anxious today, nervous feeling in my tummy. I just did a test but got a BFN. Still early days and wasn't the first morning wee! I'm not out the game yet until AF shows her ugly mug. :-)

EWCM is a really good sign. I'd go with that!! prty

AlwaystheGodmother · 27/07/2015 12:22

I haven't disappeared down the OPK rabbit hole - yet - either but a friend of mine did say the EWCM would actually appear after O..... not as an indicator?! I had thought that as soon it appeared it meant your were all systems go; she implied by the time it did, it was too late?

No wonder we are all so ruddy confused!!

LifeIsGood14 · 27/07/2015 12:24

Haha Oh Hmm

AlwaystheGodmother · 27/07/2015 12:27

And Life - atta girl! You are still in it to win it so FX Smile

AlwaystheGodmother · 27/07/2015 12:36

I must add the friend who informed me this has also previously informed me that she thought Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder were brothers so..... ya know.... Blush
