yep, going ahead this cycle! Shock

What protocol are you on? Will you be a similar timescale to me or are you long protocol?

Wow! Minx and Barking both getting underway - exciting. Your acu lady sounds fab Barking, it's great that she's given you her number and is offering support. And of course the Berries are always here for you. You are one tough lady and you will get through fine without DH. It's better than waiting unnecessarily. When I heard that your DH would be incommunicado, for some reason I assumed he'd be going to Herefordshire or thereabouts. Minx's theories are much better.

Minx is it Merional that you'll be on? It's understandable to feel nervous and excited as you finally get your treatment underway. If you are sniffing the Buselerin (sp?) then it'll be the long protocol.

Beaky thank goodness you changed your holiday plans! The FO have just told Brits not to travel to Tunisia and people are being flow home. It's sad for them and for the Tunisians, but I'm glad that you are able to properly enjoy your well deserved break.

Tiger I love your kite analogy. It's just perfect. Let's hope for some big gusts of wind soon.

Flowers Smidge - those dreams suck.

I'm going to hang around until this scan to see how it goes. Hope that's ok Berries.

Smidge001 · 09/07/2015 22:54

Of course it's OK Wild!

Had to speak to the annoying secretary yet again, to ask for my records so I can take them along to our freebie consultation at the other clinic. She rang back later to say AliG had a cancellation and could see us on Monday ! (This is after saying she was away and couldn't see us before 29th July!). Well MrSmidge can't get away from work on Monday so it's a no-go, but I'm very Hmm about it anyway... funny she suddenly had room when we mention we're going somewhere else for a second opinion!!

Also my clinic want $50 to release our notes to us Shock They'll do it for free directly to the other clinic 'as a professional courtesy' but charge for us Confused I've said to send them direct to the Prof (he seems to call himself that, and coz he's nice I shall continue the trend) and hope he's nice enough to run us a copy for free while we're there!!

We see 'The Prof' on Wednesday. I'm trying to get my own notes together so I can be organised and able to answer any questions.

Congrats to Barking and minx. and Barking I definitely don't think you're mad doing this without your OH. I'd crack on too. Waiting is the worst.

beakybeak · 10/07/2015 08:27

Yey Minx that's fab news! It'll be long protocol with merional to stim, that's what they do as standard. Shame about your ovary still being hidden, I wonder where it is?! So pleased you can crack on though.

Barking I hope you feel better soon, it's shit doing a cycle when you're ill, but at least the acu will help with stress while your dh is away. And us berries are here of course!

Wild please do hang around! I need your wise brain and the links you give us which are always really helpful for me! But also cause you're lovely to have around! I also loved Tigers kite analogy, it is such an all or nothing thing.

Smidge that's crazy that they suddenly find an appointment for you. I reckon she will be more amenable to following anything the new consultant recommends so that she keeps you. Also it will be interesting to see what the Prof has to say totally jel of his nickname given the treatment you've already had.

I'm seem to have picked up an ear infection, not sure whether to try and see a dr while I'm here. Hmm.

OMG Minx did you manage to moustache a baby?!! Lol hope it's one of the twinnies Grin Yes carry on as normal because you need thy to keep you sane, long protocol can take a while obvs haha and during downreg phase it's one injection each morning so it shouldn't affect you going anywhere. When I was stimming in the evening, I took some bits out to a family thing we had on and injected in the toilets totally weird which was fine. You just need to have the time for your first ones so that you don't get stressed, mixing the powder takes a little while too but you'll be an expert before you know it!

minx - according to what I have read, cysts are caused by: "there are several different types of ovarian cysts. The most common is a functional cyst. It forms during ovulation. That formation happens when either the egg is not released or the sac follicle in which the egg forms does not dissolve after the egg is released." ewww. More I read about it, more it grosses me out. General concensus with it at the mo tho (from doc) is to leave it alone, and it should go on its own.

LOVING the moustached baby pic...think I missed how this all got started, but that picture really made me chuckle. Grin

barking - how you feeling today (period pain can be such a bitch sometimes...I've doubled over in pain in the past. Hope you are feeling better.

smidge - I've now got images of your prof being all wild grey hair & beard, all wise looking Wink

Had my 2nd follicle tracking app this morning, its looking like I have 3 good sized follicles as of today (and cyst doesn't seem to have grown either). Doc said I had reacted very well to clomid 100mg (maybe too well), so she discussed perhaps dropping me to 50mg next month. Shall wait and see.

beakybeak · 10/07/2015 16:14

Ahahahahahahahahahaha Minx that is amazing! Grin Grin Grin love it!

Clem that's great news, sounds like a good response which bodes well for any future treatment if it's needed! Hopefully clomid will be all you need.

WildflowerMarmalade · 10/07/2015 20:50

Grin Grin Grin at Minx putting moustaches on babies. It makes that baby look like Alf Garnet.

You won't need to miss anything because of doing the injections Minx, almost certainly not. As Beaky says, the first ones are trickiest and you will soon get the hang of it. I've injected in train station loos, pub toilets and in the work loos too. It's not glam but it's fine.

Good result from your scan Clem. That's very encouraging.

barkingtreefrog · 10/07/2015 22:56

minx obviously you've got to be around for the scans and ec/et but the injections shouldn't stop you doing anything, I did loads of injections in the car or in random toilets!
I'm assuming you posted a photo but I can't see it on the app, will have to check it out next time I'm on the laptop!

smidge I should think you'll be glad to move to a different clinic just to avoid having to deal with that secretary!

Clem very impressed with the monitoring you're getting with the clomid, I was just given six months supply and told to come back if it didn't work!!
Sounds like you're responding well Smile .

I felt so ill this morning I called in sick. Have slept most of the day and still feel shit. At least I'm not trying to grow healthy eggs this cycle and the embryo is waiting in the freezer.

clementineclouds · 11/07/2015 14:09

barking - how you feeling today? better I hope.

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/07/2015 14:12

Hmm, had a little bit of watery blood this morning when I wiped. Trying not to worry, but not thrilled.

Wild a little hand hold from me but I'm sure you'll be fine. If you ask on the copter I'm sure most of them had similar, I know for sure Gill did and all was fine. Big hug.

barkingtreefrog · 11/07/2015 16:11

wild it's normal, but it's also normal to freak out about it. Thanks. Watery doesn't sound like anything to be concerned about, it's only if it's bright red and more than just when you wipe.

I wasn't feeling well enough to swim this morning but I still went on a bike ride as I was fed up with cancelling stuff - 3 things this week I was looking forward to happened without me as I lay on the sofa! I think that's wiped me out for the day though...

I'm on day 4. Transfer will be 5 days after ovulation, but as I'm doing a natural cycle and I don't ovulate until around cd 21 ish, it's a while yet! First monitoring scan is on cd14. They usually start on cd10 but I said there wasn't much point. Transfer is currently predicted to be bang in the middle of a festival. Arse.

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/07/2015 17:16

Thanks Berries. Feeling reassured by your comments. Especially Barking saying its normal and normal to freak out a bit! Smile Nothing since this am, so that's good.

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/07/2015 17:17

So will you be having in ET in a festival tent then Barking? Should be interesting.

clementineclouds · 11/07/2015 17:21

wild - thinking about you, hope your okay. try not too worry too much (very easy for me to say, I know).

barkingtreefrog · 11/07/2015 17:40

wild if the dates fall as normal I'm going to have to do a 4+ hour round trip from the festival to the hospital for et and back again.... Oh, and I'll have my two little brothers with me, so I'm going to have to find someone to look after them while I'm in the hospital.. . Hmm

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/07/2015 18:48

That sounds problematic to say the least Barking. Really hope you can somehow avoid that.
