Oh my goodness hugest congrats Dollface! So exciting!!!! Smile Xxxx

Dollface136 · 31/07/2015 08:40

Thank you ladies! Today is a bloody good day Grin.

I'm going to stick around if you don't mind and offer my support?! You have all made me feel so much better on this journey I really would love to keep up to date with how you all are.

Just as an overview this was my first month on Soy Isoflavins and Vit D. I do think something made a difference as it was the first time my temp chart showed steady temps in the follicular phase and a definite shift after ov.

Good luck to all you wonderful ladies!

PontyGirl · 31/07/2015 08:57

so exciting doll face! yes please stick around and keep us up to date!

I have started taking vitamin d3 this cycle so fingers crossed! I'm cd30 now, I ovulated on cd34 last cycle, so we shall see if my body decides to do its thing this cycle!

battenberg123 · 31/07/2015 09:02

Congratulations Dollface Grin Grin Grin This is definitely the month for BFPs!

Biscuit Welcome! This is a great thread to find out more about PCOS, I'm so clued up now!

CD28 for me!

chandelierswinger · 31/07/2015 10:11

Woo hoooooo Dollface- that's awesome news! Grin Huge congrats on your BFP! I've not joined an AN thread yet, hence hanging round here still, but will def keep tabs on you Wink

mistletoe I completely hear what you're saying. I was at that stage this month. A break sounds like a great way to reconnect with DH. Flowers

Ponty The mechanics of timing DTD can really get in the way. I think it's hard when your heart isn't in it. FWIW, my +ve OPK was about 5 days to a week before I actually conceived (based on my current dates) and it was the same when I conceived DC2, so all may not yet be lost.

Rufus Wow- look at that pic!! Exciiiiiiting! Sorry to hear you have the added stress of the additional testing etc. Keep postive. We're here for you. Flowers

boob Welcome back and sorry to hear about your mc Flowers

elle and biscuit welcome! Lovely bunch of PCOS "cysters" here.

Hello to everyone else. It's the weeeeeeekend! Grin

chandelierswinger · 31/07/2015 10:14

Just realised that yours is a Soy BFP too dollface, like mine!!!

freddiesmother When would you be due AF? Delay testing as long as poss!! I tested early, then when AF was due and got BFNs...

Pebbles086 · 31/07/2015 10:45

How amazing all these BFPS and scan pics! Stick around ladies! Grin
I am sorry I hadn't tried SI when I was given noresterine to induce my AF.
So the other day I tried to get it on repeat prescription from the GP receptionist.
She asked if I needed it because I am going on holiday? Cos I said no she wouldn't do the script and said the GP would have to confirm, so I am hoping to see the GP tonight and get it, I am not leaving the GPs without the prescription and I plan to take SI if it induces AF! Worth a shot ay?!! Grin
Wish I'd of told a fib and said yeah I need it to postpone my regular AF and I am going on a lovely trip!!

Xx

battenberg123 · 31/07/2015 11:05

Pebbles if you don't manage to get it let me know, I have a pack of norethisterone from a couple of years ago and I'll happily post it to you!

Pebbles086 · 31/07/2015 11:51

OMG battenberg would you really do that! That would be great, would be a good idea to have an extra supply for next month! Not sure if I'll even get an appt tonight, DH is going to pop into the GP on his lunch and try get me an appt. for this evening. I work too far away from work to go myself, I hope he's as pushy as me!!
I'll let you know! Xxx

Freddiesmother · 31/07/2015 12:26

Chandelier well no idea when it's die but will have had the hcg injection two weeks ago on Monday (3rd) just did a test that was negative.... Will test again Tuesday or Wednesday but not hopeful. This was the first month I have ovulated in 3 years so I was sooo excited and perhaps too hopeful. All the positive results on this thread are amazing though!

Mrsbiscuitmonster · 31/07/2015 12:37

Congratulations dollface !!!

Thanks for the book recommendation!

stealthbanana · 31/07/2015 20:09

Doll face \Smile/
That's fabulous news! Congrats!

So I just got back from the gynae. PCOS diagnosis confirmed. Had 1 dominant follicle on ultrasound at 11mm (guess that's the one I ovulatwd from this month) and everything else pcos-y on the scan. Blood tests had good fsh (5.7) and lh (5.8) so a good ratio. No insulin issues and testosterone, prolactin, dhea were all within reference ranges. The only thing that jumped out was my AMH which was 65 pmol/L which seems to be way over the normal range! The doctor said it confirmed the pcos diagnosis but not much more than that. Any bright ideas ladies?!

So next steps are for me to have a HSG to check my tubes and she's given me metformin although with disclaimers about it not working as well on skinny people like me. I'm going to test whether I'm ovulating but I can't do that this month (assuming I have another 35-40 day cycle) as we're away on hols the last 2 weeks of August. So probs will do the ovulation tests, along with a fasting blood test (my cholesterol was a bit high oops) in September. Obviously if tubes are blocked and/or DHs SA comes back with issues we'll move to plan b faster.

So...we'll see, I guess. Ho hum.

Pebbles086 · 31/07/2015 22:13

stealth it's great when you get some good news from the GP and you have a plan of action for the months ahead! Hopefully plan B will not be needed! I hope everything falls into place quickly for you xx

Rufus200 · 01/08/2015 09:33

Congrats Dollface I think that 5 of us now from this thread have got BFPs! So shows PCOS is treatable!

Ginfizz90 · 01/08/2015 15:43

Wow just catching up!!! Congrats doll face- what a roller coaster.

I'm thinking about trying soy, what days and amount do you ladies recommend?Smile

Dollface136 · 01/08/2015 20:37

Thanks everyone!

ginfizz I took days 3 to 6 and worked my way up from 100 mg to 200mg a little each day. Plus inositol at 4g a day in powder form.

chandelierswinger · 01/08/2015 21:17

Hi Gin I'm (hopefully) 5w6d with an SI baby! I took SI on days 3-7: 80mg, 120mg, 120mg, 160mg, 200mg.

Stealth high FSH levels are often raised with PCOSers, which is prob why your Dr isn't concerned about it. Your plan sounds grand too!

Rufus200 · 01/08/2015 21:29

Dollface don't stop your Inositiol, it is safe during pregnancy and will greatly reduce your risk of MC or GD.

Dollface136 · 01/08/2015 22:09

Thanks rufus. I am taking it with my metformin. Going to check with GP about how long to take met for but agree I will continue on inositol x

alphabook · 01/08/2015 22:26

Hi all. New to the thread, could do with some PCOS buddies.

I came off the pill at the beginning of 2013, was referred to fertility a year later and started Clomid in November this year. Conceived on cycle 3 and miscarried at 6 weeks. Currently on CD3 of my 6th and last NHS funded cycle of Clomid.

I'm finding things quite tough at the moment, ended up deactivating my Facebook last night as it was full of babies and pregnancies and I feel like a weight has been lifted!

alphabook · 01/08/2015 22:29

*last year I meant!

stealthbanana · 02/08/2015 04:50

Chandelier - my FSH is fine, it's 5.7. (LH 5.8 so my ratio is good too.) it's just my AMH which is through the roof at 65pmol. Have been "researching" (aka Googling Grin) in the wee hours through my jet lag this morning and can't really find anything talking about pcosers with good FSH/high AMH. Guess I'll just start on the metformin and cross my fingers!

Am a bit nervous about the HSG, has anyone had one and could you go back to work afterwards?

Welcome alphabook, sorry to hear it's been a long road for you Flowers but this is a great supportive space increasingly full
of BFPs! Has your gynae/endo started to talk about what happens next?

IsItIorAreTheOthersCrazy · 02/08/2015 09:41

dollface CONGRATULATIONS Flowers what a week you're having!!

rufus I love your scan pic. How are you feeling? any sickness?

pontygirl Thank you. Hormones / clomid crazy has hit me and I feel a mix of so loved up I want to cry and irritated by DH when he breathes! I hope it works soon because this is exhausting.

mrsbiscuit how long have you been trying? You're very welcome on this thread!
Have you been diagnosed with pcos / any fertility issues?

pebbles I bet your dog is so handsome Smile thanks for the good luck!

stealthbanana I think the signs are good for you - you have a diagnosis and you ovulated! That's the dream for most of us.
HSG and SA is the next step so it sounds like your Dr has everything under control for you. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for your BFP
I had a HSG and I'll be honest, I took the following day off work and then had the weekend off. There was an issue with mine which meant it took longer than it should have and they had to put the dye in twice so it's not a good example but I definitely recommend taking painkillers before hand and giving yourself the following day off just in case.

alphabook welcome, and I'm so sorry for your mc Flowers
What dose of clomid are you on? Do you k ow what the next steps are for you?
I'm on cycle 4 of clomid (started at 50mg, increases to 100mg and this is my first cycle on 150mg). How do you find it? It makes me hormonal ie teary and irritable
You also have my sympathy about the FB thing. I don't go on it for that reason. I currently have 2 pregnant colleagues and 2 with newborns. It's bloody awful isn't it?

Does anyone know if you can take Soy if you're also on clomid? I desperately want to boost the clomid if possible. I'm starting to worry it's not going to work before we run out of tries.

Also, just want to vent that colleague came into work this week. She announced she was pregnant the week before I began ttc. This week she came in to show off baby number 2. 2 babies in 2 years. She's lovely and the baby was beautiful but fgs, it was so hard to see.

Anyway, I have my birthday coming up and am trying not to concentrate on the fact that I always thought I'd have at least one dc by now.

Good luck to everyone this cycle! Star

chandelierswinger · 02/08/2015 09:45

Sorry, I meant AMH stealth, just being dopey!

PontyGirl · 02/08/2015 10:42

well I'm officially depressed today!! my chart looked at little out of wack last night so I changed the setting to research on ff, which said im 11dpo. my luteal phase is 12 days, so I got up and did a test - a tesco digi that I've had lying around, it's one of those that you get two cartridges in the pack and one 'reader' thing - well the result said pregnant. I've tested since with a cb digi and tesco normal test and all are negative. we've come to the conclusion it's just a dodgy test! Sad
