Trying, I'm with you on the hcg! Was glad I got them done & avoided being caught completely off guard. Will always get them done now.

Sounds like a good plan! Maybe some vino at the end!

Tryingno1 · 12/07/2015 20:37

I've drunk a lot last 4 days! I'm off the vino now (until my holiday next week anyways) from tmrw and back on the salad avacado and grilled chicken! Sad

Seekingmiracles · 12/07/2015 21:12

Hi Ladies,
i'm taking 300mg CoQ10. Also weaned the same as the others have said. Drs gave me 5mg tabs and I dropped by 5mg every 4 days.

Drttc- it's so hard when people announce their pregnancy news. I'm litterally surrounded by pregnant people. Know a fair few due in Jan when I'd have been due. Girl at work is 9 weeks along. Its everywhere. But i've kind of accepted that i'm different. I'm on my own path and shouldn't compare. I will get there but I will see alot of babies born in that time. Sucks though!

I went for dinner with a friend who's also had a mc - we sat, got drunk and slagged everyone off. Felt lovely to moan and know she was on the same page! Wink

To give you all a smile - here's my puppy!! Get him in two weeks!! Meet Loki Smile

Also- talking of scans. I'm tempted to talk to DrS about not having as many scans next time. I need to have one at 6 weeks for NHS to prescribe Fragmin, but then I don't think i want another until 12 weeks. The scans just give me anxiety and lead me into a false sense of security. I'd rather not know. Obvs if I have bleeding then I may change my mind but i'm hoping the next time will be a little more plain sailing!

Tryingno1 · 12/07/2015 22:07

Scans r so awful aren't they? There was a study which showed though they massively improved rm rates by reassurance! But they massively stress me out!

Ur doggie is very cute :) and I like the name! Glad u found someone to talk to in RL, it's hard when no one gets what it's like to loose.

Have a good week everyone, determined hope ur feeling ok about wed appt let us know how it

xxx

Tryingno1 · 12/07/2015 22:13

Ps DRtCC when did u start bleeding? I've still had nothing-just back cramps. Not had this kind of miscarriage before....

Rosa27 · 12/07/2015 22:23

Sunny - Mr S would have to consider all your history, but your intralipid timescales are like mine so you might get to avoid the last one.
Drttc- so sorry your dealing with these feelings. I can relate if course as at 39 my friends have kids going to secondary school now and most have completed their families before I've even begun. Sadly I didn't meet my DH until 7 years ago not we've had 6 years of this journey. I promise you will look back and feel much happier if you focus on your amazing DH- holidays etc, whatever quality time means to you. People having kids don't have as much time for that and many other things.. So when you are blessed (hopefully v soon) you will be much stronger to cope. Having said all that.. Life's too short to spend it with negative energy-esp when you are going through this- so def find a way to ditch the hen do! Take care x

Drttc · 12/07/2015 22:25

Hi Trying, I started bleeding at 6 weeks 1 day I believe! As your hcg is dropping your progesterone probably is too so it should happen soon-ish...

Drttc · 12/07/2015 22:27

Thanks Rosa :)

Determined123 · 12/07/2015 23:02

Ahh seeking! Little pup is adorable...I really really want one, working on dh is s full time job!

Drttc - so sorry for the preg news...when I've had that (and will get loads more soon as I gave friends trying) I just use it as an excuse to book fun things up, hen dos, baby showers anything where a group of ladies of a certain age and it can be pretty shit for us rmc'rs as babies are talked about too much. And as Rosa mentioned deffo keep away from any bad vibes, you need lots of positivity round you right now!

Random question, anyone know how/tips to get a period to start...on day 36 now, longer cycle ever...what the hell is going on?!?!?

Rosa27 · 12/07/2015 23:08

Seeking - what a gorgeous wee puppy. Wish we could get one - we both work too long to be fair I think.
Agree on scans in some ways but having had 2 MMCs I'd never go more than 2 weeks until 12 as I've seen HBs at 7 that were gone at 12 week scan and a 9 week scan would have saved me 3 weeks of false happiness and greater pain. No right or wrong way but each of our individual past experiences determines our future coping strategies. Night all x

Rosa27 · 12/07/2015 23:10

Determined - think there are teas and herbs you can get from Neal's Yard that can help .. Unless there's another reason ..?x

Determined123 · 13/07/2015 07:03

Thanks Rosa, I will google those. I've also read high vit c helps and I'm going to restart acu this week as had a break for past few months...cycles were much better when I had it reguarly.

Ha ha deffo not that reason...dtd has been minimal lately (poor dh) with protection...I was not taking any chances...oh how things have changed Grin x

Tryingno1 · 13/07/2015 08:02

Sorry determined no idea! Have ur periods for more irregular since coming of the metformin? I seem
To remember you coming of it?

Right to a day of being busy til dh gets home...not been to the gym in
Over 4 Months! Should be interesting! Not sure how long I'll last!

Determined123 · 13/07/2015 08:20

Nope still on it trying and it made no impact before so I don't think it's that...I think it's a combination of all these supplements tbh and then steroids. This month I couldn't pinpoint ov (never happened before) so think maybe it hasn't happened this month?!
Take it easy in the gym...just getting your body moving is enough and a little sweat on will work wonders xx

Hula2 · 13/07/2015 11:18

Hi Ladies,

Sorry i ve been awol, am away on hol and been having probs logging in/getting on and just wrote a big post then lost it so hope this one makes it.

Snoopy and Dr - sorry you re dealing with preg announcements, its never easy, def do whats best for you and dont worry about other people.

Rosa lovely to hear your updates, hope your 20 week scan gives you reassurance. Can t believe you re nearly half way !

Sunny good luck tomorrow, everything crossed for you.

Seeking - puppy is sooo cute. Nothing like puppy cuddles to cheer u up.

Determined - what a pain to have wacky cycles. Def could be the steriods. Acu sounds like a good plan. Hope you get good results.

Trying - good for you throwing everything at it now. Sounds like you and dh are very strong you really deserve to get there. Great news dh sperm has improved.

Afm - having a lovely time on hol but as expected bfn. Just waiting for af then onto 10mg of letrozole (how high can you go ?). Also crapping it a bit as DS is having a small op under GA next mon and altho its just a minor thing it still scares the living daylights out of me...

Hi to anyone else i ve missed.

Tryingno1 · 13/07/2015 11:31

Hi hula. Aw poor ds? Is he ok? I can imagine its terryfing even though a minor op. But he will be fine, it's just your anxiety which will be the hardest part. Hope it goes smoothly and enjoy ur holiday and try not to worry too much. Sorry it's a bfn :( but...there was only 1 egg. Hope the 10mg makes another one for u!

Oh yes determined-acu helps me with AF. Like when I wanted to avoid d and c etc she always managed to induce my bleed - maybe conincidence but even when I was waiting for af to get ivf started it came the day after I saw her (it was scheduled to, but I felt better thinking I was doing something to help it along!) Infact maybe I should see her I get this one going too...

Hula2 · 13/07/2015 11:40

Thanks Trying - yep he s fine, its elective (hydrocele that hasn t gone) but somehow that makes it worse cos you re kinda choosing to do it when its not actually causing a prob right now (altho obv he would nt be impressed with one testicle bigger than the other at 14 and now is the optimum time to fix it). Everyone says its the parents who find it hardest.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/07/2015 17:17

drttc it's awful isn't it. When my brother called me I just remember all the breath seemed to leave my chest like a vacuum, and then this intense pain. I just managed to get out of the room before bursting into tears in front of a load of policemen. Not my finest hour. It felt exactly how I'd imagine a sucking chest wound to feel.

determined I'm sorry I have no idea how to induce AF, usually researching how to prevent it arriving Grin

hula hope you're enjoying your holiday. Sorry about the bfn, but hopefully next cycle you'll have the meds finely tuned. Hope Your DS is ok.

seeking he's adorable. I could just snuggle the life out of him!

I'm feeling quite good today, which is nice.

Tryingno1 · 13/07/2015 17:33

Hula def sounds like it's best to do it now while he can't rem etx. Enjoy rest of ur trip.
Snoopy glad u feeling good :). I know that feeling when my SiL accounted Her second pregnancy while ive been trying for one. I thought my heart had stopped beating! Awful sinking feeling. Keep feeling postive :)
I managed 30 mins in gym! Ha! Will build up slowly! Xxx im also feeling ok today. DH is really down so spent today cooking him his fav meal I hope it cheers him up a bit. He said he really thought this was our one :(

Seekingmiracles · 13/07/2015 21:45

Sorry you got a bfn Hula.... Hope upping the dosage next cycle does the trick. Sorry you're worrying about DS's op, hope all goes smoothly.

Sorry to hear your DH is feeling down Trying. I can handle my own grief but seeing my DH sad is so hard. Hopefully the yummy dinner cheers him up.

Glad you're feeling better today Snoopy.
I'm so excited for the puppy. I'm hoping he'll keep me distracted.

Has anyone else had karotyping done after MC? DrS said it would take 3 weeks but called the office today and results still not back. Cheryl said it takes 4-6 weeks. I've got an appointment with drS next week. Really hope they're back when I see him, otherwise I have to postpone. And he's on holiday the first two weeks of August.... Just want to know. Hmm

Tryingno1 · 13/07/2015 22:35

I thought it was more 4/6 but Mr s would know. I agree there's no pt going until u have the results. Have been thinking of u and the results, I hope ur feeling ok about them.
Yes doggie is so cute! I'm sure he will keep u very happy! :)

Rosa27 · 13/07/2015 23:07

Kareotyping took 10 weeks for me in good old Scotland! They did say it should have been 6 but they had a backlog.
Sorry not writing more - am shattered but found out not being made redundant. Phew!
Thinking of you all .. Night x

Determined123 · 14/07/2015 09:23

hey hula, so sorry for bfn...hopefully the holiday is taking the edge off it as much as you can. I think my little bro had something like that as a child which he doesn't really remember so its good to do it now like you said (even though you will always worry).

Seeking I think my karyotype were fairly quick...but then I don't remember the time dragging as I was not in any rush...I think it was around a month though.

Ha ha - thanks Snoopy...I know I must be the only one on the thread who wants their period right now! Be interesting to see what Dr S says!

Well done on gym trying :)

have a good day everyone :)

Tryingno1 · 14/07/2015 13:12

Seeking is it ur karotype from the ercp? Think some Of us think u mean u and DH karotype? Either way I hope u get ur results for ur appt. Have u made any progress?
Determined good luck for results tmrw.
Rosa glad u don't have to worry about ur job too! Like u need more stress :) glad to hear everything still going smoothly
My AF arrived :( kinda glad it came so body can return to normal asap. Quite painful though. got dH appt on Friday with urologist and just waiting on the argc now. I think we are fairly sure that's the way we are headed.i think their amazing embryologists will help with choosing decent sperm on day and their intense monitoring is what I need if I get a bfp again. Got a lot of to sort out before it all happens! Don't tbink I can afford to keep doing acu, but I find her really lovely. But really need to save all the pennies now :(
