Hi everyone,
I'm new here but have been watching the posts for a few weeks now and thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm 30, married my DH 5 months ago but we've been together almost 12 years. TTC#1 cycle 1 cd 18
Last year I manged to loose over 3st in weight and now have a healthy bmi of 25. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week, DH has also joined and goes 1-2 a week. We have both given up caffeine and I'm taking the seven seas 'trying for a baby' multi vitamin.
Any extra advice on boosting our chances is very welcome.

Hi! Can I join??
33 yrs cycle 2 ttc #1 cd 7. Trying extremely hard to not obsess!

Snowflake16 · 05/06/2015 07:59

Welcome Sizzle you are not alone with trying not to obsess. I spend much of the day thinking about nothing else but babies and ttc. I'm TTC #1 cycle 1 cd 26. Good luck to us all. Smile

KateR1980 · 05/06/2015 10:28

Fingers crossed for us all!

I'm 34, cycle 4 ttc#1 cd17.
I found that I was very obsessive the first month but have calmed down since then, thankfully!

Snowflake16 · 05/06/2015 15:30

2 days before AF is due and I finally gave in and POAS but it was a BFN of course. Sad

Snowflake16 · 05/06/2015 16:14

Hi Kate
Hoping I calm down now I've seen a bfn. After the initial disappointment this morning, I do feel a little less obsessed.
I think I had a lot of first month excitement in me before which has gone now.

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 16:51

I think we're almost the same Sizzle. I am cd7 today on cycle #2.
So far I'm thinking this is the most boring bit! Dtd next week will feel like I'm in control of the process; then although the tww is annoying you have lots of hope and excitement. This is my least favourite bit!!!

Sizzle81 · 05/06/2015 18:53

Thank you!
Sorry for the BFN Snowflake.
Yes, this is definitely the most boring bit. When me and my OH decided to try he said "you're not going to get all stressed and do ovulation tests and stuff are you?" Blush lol
No ovulation tests for me but do have a period tracker app! Smile

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 23:09

Which app are you using? I think they must get more intuitive the longer we go. At the moment I have three different apps telling me slightly different things!

KateR1980 · 06/06/2015 02:54

Snowflake, I did the same thing, couldn't resist POAS the first month, it was negative of course as it was too early for a positive. Since then I've been quite happy to leave the other test in the cupboard as AF has turned up on time every month :(

After worrying about getting pregnant (when I didn't want to) for so long, it took a while to get into my head that it wouldn't necessarily happen straight away.

Sizzle81 · 06/06/2015 17:27

I'm using the "Glow" app.
Last month I was 4 days late and got so excited then AF turned up.
I've already told myself I won't POAS until a week late.
Yes, all those years we spend trying not to get pregnant!! Ha!

Mrs1986 · 06/06/2015 18:55

I am going on holiday on 30th June (our wedding anniversary) and I think AF is due on 29th. If not here on 29th I am so taking the test on the morning of the 30th! Would be the best anniversary present ever!! ... Already getting ahead of myself - so hard not to get your hopes up isn't it??

louwn · 06/06/2015 19:06

I am def not testing early - got hopes up too much last time and period was just a day late. Going to make sure I am properly late next time - hopefully several days- but no idea if I will be able to wait that long.

louwn · 06/06/2015 19:08

I'm following Mrs1986 from another thread haha. I am 30, ttc #1 cycle 2, on CD7.

Sizzle81 · 06/06/2015 19:39

That would be an amazing Anniversary present Mrs1986! Fingers crossed for you.

Mrs1986 · 06/06/2015 20:45

Welcome to this thread Louwn!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!xx

Snowflake16 · 07/06/2015 12:47

After poas Friday and getting a bfn, AF is due today. No sign yet but really just want it to come then we can start again next cycle.

Irishgirl2015 · 07/06/2015 15:38

Can I join you guys too? 31 ttc1, married a few years now but we're waiting till we got finances in order. Wish we never waited now! Off the patch since January 15 and periods have come back in line pretty much. Have been taking a very lightly lightly approach as don't want to freak pure hubbie out but think we need to step it up a notch now!

Irishgirl2015 · 07/06/2015 15:39

Poor hubbie even...

louwn · 07/06/2015 18:52

Irishgirl...I agree there is definitely an approach to be taken with husbands!! I am just telling mine what we are doing and trying to make it look more spontaneous than it actually is.... : )

shannonb94x · 07/06/2015 19:32

I also had bfn. 7 weeks since mc tomorrow, spoke to nurse got to do another test in the morning & if neg again in a weeks time! had awful cramps yesterday, i could feel all of my stomach muscles cramp & my entire stomach went hard! Dont know what thats about. Also had back ache yesterday which i only ever get a day or 2 before af :( hopefully next month will be my month for a bfp :) good luck to everyone waiting to poas!

BrownBirdsFly · 07/06/2015 20:29

Hi all, I'm 26 and ttc#1 too :) first cycle of trying but I'm a control freak and have been using clear blue dual hormone. Got a solid smiley (this means ovulation!) and did BD like crazy every day. Now on tww and hating it!
Love and babydust to you all :)

Snowflake16 · 07/06/2015 20:50

Hi Shannon, glad you managed to speak to somebody.Smile
Brownbird I was just like you and hated the waiting but since getting a BFN last week it's calmed me right down.

OP posts:
BrownBirdsFly · 08/06/2015 21:15

Yes snowflake I think once I have a bit of disappointment I will calm right down! I've had some very light spotting and reading into it like crazy. AF due on the 19th so fingers crossed! Flying away on holiday on 20th so that test will be the make or break of my holiday cocktails/chilled wine! Xxx

Sizzle81 · 11/06/2015 19:28

How is everyone doing? x

PallasCat · 11/06/2015 20:04

Hi all, may I join? 31 and married 1 year. Just started TTC #1 - super broody but life has been too chaotic until now, so have only just broached it with OH. Wishing you all luck Smile
