Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Haha thanks ladies! BlushBlushBlush On reflection I think it was probably sperm. I was just so surprised to see it at 11pm after dtd about 1pm!

Another flashing smiley today so will dtd again.

Mumof1sofar · 31/05/2015 08:49

Sorry for double post! I'm not doing too well atm.

Pear - I know, I don't want to use normal ones as they aren't as useful as the dual ones!

Eggs - googling is evil! Please don't think the worst until you've seen your gp. What time is your appt tmrw? I'll have everything crossed for you.

Onecurrantbun · 31/05/2015 16:46

Eggs everything crossed for your appointment tomorrow. It's so hard not to Google but please try not to for the next 24 hours.

Mum even jf it was sperm then it's pretty impressive that it stayed out for 10 hours Blush

We have had a lazy day today complete with McDonald's drive thru... currently debating whether to get a banana (cantilever) parasol or a fitted awning as our garden is south facing and we are having it landscaped at the moment. Bye bye death trap pond!

Onecurrantbun · 31/05/2015 16:47

Stayed put, obvs

AvaAmulet · 31/05/2015 18:05

Ooh, snap OneCurrent! We're (slowly) doing our garden too, and the pond will be gone from ours at some point Wink

I gave a thing for awnings btw Blush so that'd get my vote Smile

Mumof1sofar · 01/06/2015 10:36

One, I vote awning too Smile

Cd16 for me & I got a fixed smiley this morning - yay! Smile going to dtd today, tomorrow & Weds then hopefully we've covered all bases!

How's everyone else doing?
Egg, are you seeing the gp today?

AvaAmulet · 01/06/2015 10:50

Good luck, Mumo Smile x

I'm full up with a cold Hmm hopefully it'll be gone by the weekend for the ttc marathon - decided we'll dtd ed rather than eod this cycle. Always thought eod was best, but apparently, as long as DH has no issues with his swimmers ed shouldn't be a problem. Haven't told DH about my plan yet, but I'm sure he won't mind lol Grin Wink x

Augusthomotherium · 01/06/2015 12:50

Cd1 proper. Joy. Hmm

Swannykazoo · 01/06/2015 13:29

Hey lovelies.
Just popped in to say cheerio for a wee bit

Probably going to end up with a single child as think relationship with DH is so poor that its a) its probably not right to bring anyone else into it at the minute and b) we're so far apart right now that any DTD seems highly far fetched. Not that there's any sign of AF anyway its a bit academic.
Hopefully I'll be back in the future if we can work through this, but all you lovely ladies will be in antenatal clubs by then - good luck all though

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 14:03

Puggle - Sorry that you have to part from the group but it also sounds sensible to put a pause on TTC if things are rocky between you and DH...in fact you're very very sensible!! Too many adults brush relationships under the carpet and think children will be the quick fix! Good luck with it all and I really hope that whatever it is you're going through makes you stronger ??

Mumofone - Woop woop! Egg laying time. Come on egg/s do your thing!! We need a happy bfp in two weeks please ??

Ava - sorry you're poorly! Better for it to be now though ?? Good luck with the ed mission. I think I will try the opposite this month and go for eod. No idea how DH swimmers are but they worked last time!

Eggs - how are you?

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 14:05

Auto - Sorry AF got you Hmm Let's hope June is it for all!

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 14:07

One current - I like tilted parasols

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 14:07

Ava - forgot to ask...how was weigh day?

AvaAmulet · 01/06/2015 15:34

Sorry about AF, August, that sucks Sad Flowers

Sorry to hear about your relationship troubles, Puggle. Virtual hugs to you and little Puggle Flowers x

Pear, I'll weigh properly next week after a week of being good again. I've been very good today, even though I'm feeling dreadful and AF is still here, so I should still reach my target in 6 weeks time Wink

Mumof1sofar · 01/06/2015 17:27

August sorry af got you Hmm

Ava which cd are you starting your dtd marathon? This month we have dtd eod from cd7 & then ed for flashing & fixed smileys. Fx for you.

Puggle so sorry to hear of your problems with dh. I hope things get back on track for you soon.

Pear how are things with you?

Onecurrantbun · 01/06/2015 18:16

August wine and chocolate for you. Sorry the witch got you.

Puggle Flowers

Ava - ED sounds hardcore altough I hear some of you crazy cats even try naptime shagging Confused we are going to try the SMEP approach so EoD during fertile period and ED for 3 days once opk goes positive. We almost managed it this time but skipped the last night as dd2 was sick!

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 20:09

Mumofone - I'm doing OK thanks. I posted back my second batch of CB sticks...only 4 more days and I can say good riddance to the lot! A bit depressing that I didn't get a happy ending with the trial as I'm sure you of all people can sympathise!

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 20:10

Ava - good to hear you're back on the wagon!

Mrsmumb · 01/06/2015 20:40

Hi, I may be in the wrong place here but this board came up as active and it's something I've been wondering about, I think far too ahead. I know it's not an exact science but what should I do in an ideal world, my ds is v nearly 6mo and bf if I could design my ideal family I would conceive dc2 in December/January as ds turns 1. AF hasn't returned yet, when should I expect it? Is there anything I can do to encourage it?
I would like to bf for as long as poss but in all honesty not at the expense of my ideal age gap. Should I try to stop bfing sooner rather than later or is it no different trying to conceive when bfing so long as AF has returned? ?
sorry if this is the wrong board!

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 21:56

MrsMumb - you're in the right place Smile I have two questions before answering yours. 1) Were you on the pill before you came pregnant with DS 2) How long did it take you to fall pregnant?

peardrop2 · 01/06/2015 21:57

Also, are you exclusively bf?

Mrsmumb · 01/06/2015 22:19

Thanks peardropSmile
DS has been on pureed solids for a couple of weeks and is eating more every day and evidently taking less milk from the increased need for bpads and rather smellier nappies.
He also happily takes a bottle of formula in the evening which we introduced in the build up to me going on a hen do in a couple of weeks. (we found he much prefers it to expressed milk)
We were very lucky we conceived on the 3rd cycle of trying.

AvaAmulet · 01/06/2015 22:33

Mumo, I'm thinking cd11 - cd16...5 days before ov and the day after...hope my calculations aren't too far off, I never ov earlier than expected, so fx we time it right again Confused

Sorry to hear that your lo was sick, OneCurrant, hope she's better today? Yes, dtd during nap time was a must for us whenever possible before DD started going to sleep at a reasonable hour most nights Blush Shock Wink

I must confess, being so poorly today and wanting a bit of a lie in, I did offer DD boob this morning in an attempt to get her back to sleep Blush Blush Blush it didn't work though! she shook her head and said "no mammy, down stairs, play!" Shock I ended up feeding twice during the day and giving out 6 prizes, so we're doing well. Any day where the prizes outweigh the boob is progress Grin

We're out all day tomorrow, and I'm at work Wednesday and Thursday, so it should be easier to keep up the good work with feeding less over the next few days Smile

AvaAmulet · 01/06/2015 22:44

Hi MrsMumb, and welcome Smile

I wanted a 2-2.5 year age gap between DCs but didn't want to give up the feeds altogether to achieve that (until now) We ttc since DD was 6 months, but it took until DD was 16 months for AF to return, and a further 6 months for me to be able to confirm ovulation. DD has just turned 2. My (ongoing) journey to conceive no.2 might not have been so long if I'd made some changes earlier on, but no one knows for sure, as everyone is different (and I wouldn't have changed a thing anyway Wink) They recommend a 6 hour gap between feeds during the day and a 4 hour gap at night to increase fertility. It's great that your lo is already used to formula should you need to introduce a bottle during the day between breastfeeds. I'd recommend charting your temperature and using opks to gauge what's happening in your cycle and hopefully predict when you're likely to ov - and maybe even catch the first egg! Good luck Grin x

Mumof1sofar · 01/06/2015 23:07

Hi & welcome mrsm Smile My af came back when dc was about 9mo. I'm sure they came back because she got ill & refused boob for a whole day!
