Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Welcome Mini, nice to have you join us! We too are fairly similar, my ds is 20mo and feeds about the same as yours. We co-sleep too.

I hope you manage to beat the odds like last time.

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 21:41

Well, my ic opks bought for next cycle arrived and I had to poas as soon as I got home from work as I had (tmi alert, sorry Blush) a considerable amount of wet cm today. It wasn't a positive but v.close so I think I'll be ov'ing earlier than ever this month, judging by this result. Feeling like I should have dtd on Monday when DH wanted to, but I was do tired, and been enjoying the break from dtd pressure tbh. Now I feel like, I do ov early I've let us down, as we haven't dtd once yet this cycle Hmm

ispyfispi · 08/07/2015 21:50

Oh Ava....Monday was a couple of days ago, tonight or tomorrow will be much better. Try not to get too stressed and just dtd when you're both up for it.

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 22:02

Thanks iSpy, I thought I wanted and needed a full month off, but in practice I don't think a hiatus is practical Confused and today I found myself wondering what today's bbt would've told me if I was temping this month Hmm I don't know what causes the most stress/pressure tbh - scrutinising the poas and bbt, or not tracking anything and wondering what the results would be if I did... Really hoping Sod's law will dictate that we get a bfp the month we don't give ttc 100% Blush x

MinisMama13 · 08/07/2015 22:36

Thank you so much for welcoming me Smile

Ava thanks for the info, I shall have to dig the thermometer out! While there's no real pattern to how he wakes he does generally start an hour long boob session at around 6 so that might be my time!
I have been terrible for poas this cycle. Just ordered some more pg ic's just because so I'm sure I'll need to test one! We missed dtd on ov day this cycle as I'd been at an exercise class and was too knackered and then felt bad but I could barely move. Oh and I got my bfp with ds the month we gave up ttc and made travel the world before we fund ivf plans lol.

Pear it's so hard to know what to do, I know I don't want to stop bf just yet and I wasn't planning on forcing him to cut down but part of me wonders after 6 ish months whether I need to.

Lea I hope something happens for you soon. I read somewhere this morning about the average being 14 months.

ispy ooo yes very similar, it's nice to know we're not alone!

I'm trying to think what I missed earlier! We were ttc with ds for 22 months. This time we're on cycle 6. My lp has always been rubbish ish (10-12 days pre baby with spotting from 2 days before af) but it's now a little worse which I'm guessing is due to bf. Average is 9 but last cycle was 11!
Urm I love cake. And tea. I realise I'm now waffling!

Thanks again ladies
X

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 22:55

Mini, I feel the same way about not wanting to cut DD off just to ttc DC#2. In an ideal world I'd be able to do both. I feel better about complete weaning now that she's a bit older, it's definitely time, so we've been distracting her with activities whenever she's asked for boob over the last couple of months, and so we're feeding about 50% less. I always joked that it'd be time to wean when she got to the age where she could embarrass me by demanding "boobie" in public, but she's been doing that for a long time now Blush I'm aiming for DD to be either completely weaned by the time she starts nursery in September, or at least down to just one feed a day. A lot of women on here seem to have got their bfp after they reduced feeds to once a day Wink x

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 22:57

Oh and 6/6.30am is my usual temping time too, just before DD has her first drink of the day Grin

MinisMama13 · 08/07/2015 23:20

I've had to try some distraction recently as nursing aversion after ov is making me want to rip my skin off some days! He goes to nursery up to 3 days a week depending on my shifts and likes to make up for it on other days!

I know someone in real life who has just found out she's pregnant and still offers 3/4 feeds but only at night so it can happen! I was surprised though as I thought it was night weaning that increased fertility but I'm obviously remembering that incorrectly!

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 23:21

Dangly legs here Grin think this is the (first and) last time we'll get to dtd before we go away, and therefore possibly this cycle. Hoping it's enough, but what will be will be Wink

AvaAmulet · 08/07/2015 23:28

Yes, night weaning is important as prolactin levels are higher at night, but someone on here (I forget who, sorry) got her bfp by day weaning and continuing to feed throughout the night.

I've tried to stop DD suckling at night just for the sake of it, as sore boob aside (the skin around my nipple has broken twice this month making feeding excruciating and impossible at times), just suckling alone is enough to keep prolactin levels high Confused

peardrop2 · 09/07/2015 07:29

Ava ooooo that's exciting that you've had a shot at it and that you may OV earlier this month! What cd are you now?

peardrop2 · 09/07/2015 07:30

I've ordered the 20 x cb dual hormone sticks and 30 ic opks so hopefully they will arrive early next week so that I can start testing throwing money away Wink

MinisMama13 · 09/07/2015 09:10

Ava fingers crossed dangly legs work!

Pear what cd are you? A nice stash of per sticks you've got coming!

ispyfispi · 09/07/2015 09:47

I've got about half of my box of 20 left for next cycle so I hope I can judge my timings better and not have to buy more! I've no idea quite what's going on with me, based on my previous regular cycles af would have arrived last weekend which would have been 2-3 days post ovulation. Still not here on cd34, 7dpo. My days app saying af now due on cd41 but I've never had cycles that long before. Not sure when I should test. Half of me thinks I'll have beginners luck, being first cycle and to test in 3-4days but the other half thinks I shouldn't even bother testing unless af doesn't show up by the following weekend! I have some ic hpts and don't plan on buying any others unless I need to for verification purposes Wink

ispyfispi · 09/07/2015 09:48

Have a fab holiday Ava!

AvaAmulet · 09/07/2015 10:01

Pear, I'm 13 dpo today. We might be able to dtd on Monday when we get back, but that might be too ambitious/too late Hmm

Thanks Mini Smile

Thanks and good luck, ispy! You have much more restraint than I have - I can't be trusted to keep any hpts in the house any more Blush Blush Blush

ispyfispi · 09/07/2015 10:22

But Ava we all know I'll pee on them all too soon, fork out for expensive ones and get a BFN! That's how it works, no?!

MinisMama13 · 09/07/2015 10:36

ispy I'd attempt to hold out until 10dpo. I say that and tested at 7 and 8 this cycle Blush I had a wee stash under the bed last time and I caught myself browsing cbd's on Amazon the other day. I have some ic's arriving today which are ready for next time Wink

Ava when do you go away? I cannot wait for our holiday but it's not until October!

What are these dual sticks? Worth buying? I forgot to temp this morning so that's off to a cracking start Confused

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 09/07/2015 12:07

Hi mini!

AvaAmulet · 09/07/2015 13:10

Aah, thanks, ispy Wink I forget there's no shame on here as we all do exactly the same thing lol x

Mini, we're going Friday - Monday with the whole (immediate) family to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Are you going far in October? We are doing a few UK breaks a year while DD is still little. We went away mid-week in May (just me, DH and DD) then we're going away again in September (just us 3 again), but we've already booked for all the family to go to the same place we're visiting this weekend in November for their Christmas theme - can't wait, I'm a sucker for Christmas Blush Grin

Think it'll be another couple of years before we attempt a holiday abroad x

Trinpy · 09/07/2015 14:19

Hello everyone! I am still here, just lurking at the moment because nothing very interesting is happening with me ttc-wise. I've got another week until af arrives and then I can get on with the next cycle Smile.

Just checking back in to make sure I don't miss anyone poas!

peardrop2 · 09/07/2015 15:41

Trinpy - ahh I really hope that you won't be getting on with the next cycle Wink

I spy - if I was you I would hold out until the morning of cd13...if you can!! I managed 11dpo this month..In July I'm aiming for 13dpo too! The satisfaction when you don't waste sticks is great! I'm telling myself that if I can hold out until 13dpo and AF arrives then I get a pedicure.

Today I got a manicure because even though I didn't hold out until 13dpo I've been so down about it all and I needed cheering up!

My ds has been ridiculously cute this week. I feel so selfish for thinking about TTC 24/7!! I've decided to take DS on an outing tomorrow morning where if I had a no 2 baby right now it wouldn't be so fun or maybe even doable! I've just got to start enjoying life as it is and stop worrying! I hope the Dr does give me a blood test tomorrow. It will be a relief to know what's going on. Even last night I was thinking, is it so bad to just keep trying and except that it WILL happen but just not on my terms? If all my friends didn't have a 2 year gap and I wasn't constantly looking at celebrities with a 2 year gap would I care so much? Probably not! Maybe I should just stop looking around and just keep looking at my gorgeous and ever so demanding son who makes me feel grateful every day!! OK I'll be quiet now!

Ava - Have a fab holiday!

I'm on cd5.

peardrop2 · 09/07/2015 16:00

P.S if it's not FB announcing your friends pregnancy it's a stupid commercial business announcing Michael Bubbles no2 or Colleen Rooney's no3!!! Maybe I need to stay off FB Grin

AvaAmulet · 09/07/2015 16:19

Hope AF stays away for you, Trinpy Wink

Thanks Pear Grin and I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying 'being in the now' with DS Smile You'll have your hands full with 2 before you know it, savour this precious time in the interim Wink Hope you enjoyed your manicure, and I hope you get to have your pedicure too x

I'm not buying any more hpts until AF is officially late from now on, lesson learned Blush

It's going to be soooo weird not being able to pinpoint ov this month, I'll be feeling a bit like I'm in limbo not knowing my exact stats for a change (I'm hoping it'll be oddly freeing though) Confused x

peardrop2 · 09/07/2015 17:16

Thanks Ava. I've definitely got to start living in the now for sure!! I'll feel so much better once I've been to the doctors. I'm feeling stupidly nervous that the male doctor will laugh at me Hmm Which is dumb I realise HmmConfused
