Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Aww thanks iSpy, I've been here on and off since last August and often feel like I'll still be here, on my own, after all you guys have graduated lol Grin Hmm

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 00:11

Ava - DH and I had the dreaded August chat Hmm He says he doesn't want to May babies and wants to take a break if it comes to it. Eek! I'm not going to think about it too much. I guess like you say "what will be will be"!

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 00:12

Two May babies

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 07:02

You feel the same way though, don't you? Agree for now and see if you birth change your mind closer to the time. Try not to worry about it too much, you may get your bfp before then anyway Wink

My temps are still high!!!! Shock

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 07:04

Birth?! both!!! Even my damn auto correct has babies on the brain haha! Grin Hmm

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 08:55

Eeek! Did you test this morning? Hmm I'm not sure I agree...I think I've gone past caring but I agree to agree Grin for now!

Iwantiwantiwant · 25/06/2015 10:48

Hello everyone.

I have been lurking around for quite a long time, I have been following everyone's post while I was ttc #2, which was 2 years ago. Anyway, we are ttc #3, and like my 2nd, I have been watching all your comments and advice.

My AF returned at 10months after I introduced a dummy at night to cut down night feeds with #2, as I wanted a close age gap between them. I don't want to do that this time.

I'm 27, BF DD 10 months, no AF.

What's everyone's view of vitex/Angus castus? Did it work at bring back AF? Success stories.

Xxxxxx

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 12:08

Hi Iwant, and welcome. I don't have any advice I'm afraid as I havent considered going down that route. Think they're a last resort for some people, but not sure how effective they are for everyone. Good luck on your journey to DC #3 Smile Your username sounds a lot like my DD btw lol Wink

Update from me for anyone who's interested - No sign at AF here atm! I felt quite queasy on the train this morning, so much so I put down the book I was reading well in advance of my station Shock And started to get crampy en route to my office, convinced AF would soon appear! But she didn't, and I even popped to the loo to check Blush and everything subsided by the time I got to my desk Confused Methinks I will test tomorrow morning, with fmu, at 12dpo after all (really dont think I can hold out until the weekend) x

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 14:45

Oh Ava how exciting! I'm excited Grin

Hello new lurker. Glad you've popped out of the woodwork. I'm now wondering who else is lurking reading our strange and wonderful posts Blush Good luck!

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 17:08

I suspect there are many - I myself was once a lurker until I discoved the cathartic excercise that is regular posting Wink

TMI alert - I keep popping to the loo to check if the dreaded AF has arrived, but it's just wet cm (lovely Hmm) I daren't believe this could be our month, as I've been caught out by that before Sad I want so desparately now to go home and poas but I know it'll just be a waste of a stick. I'm still only 12 dpo Blush boobies still achy on and off btw x

Leamice · 25/06/2015 17:23

Ava I think you're preggo!! Cant wait to here how your test turns out.

Sorry everyone for not posting in a while, been very busy but will have a proper read and catch up later. Nothing new to report here no Ov/AF Sad though I think i'm coming to turns with not being able to have two DCs close in age, definitely not as depressed about it as I was.

Trinpy · 25/06/2015 18:07

Ava if you're not pregnant then you are having a nice long lp. Either way this is looking to be a very positive month for you Smile.

Iwant hello (and hello to any other lurkers out there!), I don't know the answer to your question, but how often are you feeding? Af came back for me at 10 months when I was still feeding 3hrly through the night, so you might not have too much longer to wait! Have you had any signs that your fertility is returning yet?

Trinpy · 25/06/2015 18:12

lea how old is your dc? There are definite positives to having a bigger age gap. Your eldest will be so much more independent, which will make the newborn days a lot less stressful for you. They can still play together and have a great bond too.

Absolutely nothing is happening with me ttc-wise. Just waiting and waiting for any sign of ov Hmm.

Leamice · 25/06/2015 18:27

My ds coming up to 13 months Trin, I just always imagined I'd have my family close together in age, I hadn't really even thought about how BF could affect my fertility though wouldn't have changed a thing feeding wise, just wish I knew lol.

Leamice · 25/06/2015 18:37

Iwant (hi btw Smile), I've been taking vitex for 1 month, nothing has happened lol! I had 2 AFs round 6months after ds, then they stopped when I wanted to ttc, wasn't worried but eventually started cutting down on feeds as wanted my AF back, didn't work, had positive opks but probably didn't Ov as no AFs, eventually I got down to no feeds when ds was 11 months but still nothing, started vitex at 12 months and still nothing. (Dunno if that rambling sentence made sense Blush)

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 19:03

Aww Trinpy I'm sorry you're still waiting Hmm It's really not a fun wait at all. Nice to hear that you think a bigger age gap is more suitable though Wink

Ava - ooooooooh this is looking soooo promising!!

Trinpy · 25/06/2015 19:17

ooh I take back what I said. Just noticed lots of ewcm! will have to do an opk once ds is asleep .

lea you could easily still have 2 year difference between dcs, that's a tiny age gap imo Wink.

peardrop2 · 25/06/2015 19:22

Trinpy - yay!

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 19:43

V.excited for you Trinpy! Grin

Lea, I was more anxious and sad in the run up to achieving my 'perfect' age gap, but now that I've passed the deadline for that I'm a bit more relaxed about when it happens now, and don't feel like I've let DD down any more. We couldn't have tried any harder than we did to get a smaller gap, I just think when it's not meant to be it won't be, and now I see the benefits of DD being a slightly older sibling, who'll be more independent (toilet trained!!) and mamma's little helper when her brother or sister finally arrives and I realised I might even be (whispers) actually a tiny little bit thankful that it didn't happen for us sooner Shock

Could not resist poas when I got home - BFN! And that's why I should never, ever keep a supply of tests at home... All gone by 11dpo (miscalculated earlier, lol) ....Hmm Blush x

waxweasel · 25/06/2015 20:17

Ah Ava sorry about the bfn, but it's still early AND not fmu! I'm ridiculously excited for you - sounds so hopeful! Nothing to report here at all - am totally symptomless. I've basically just convinced myself it isnt happening for me this month Sad

And Trinpy, hooray! Hope you get a positive opk!

Iwantiwantiwant · 25/06/2015 20:39

Thanks Tripny, I hope that AF comes back soon. it's frustrating waiting for its return.

Leamice, thank you for letting me know about vitex, please could you keep me updated, also do you know if you can take it while breastfeeding?

Thank you for making me feel welcome.

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 20:46

Thanks Wax, can't believe I miscalculated after constantly saying AF was due at 10 dpo, DHs birthday, which was yesterday. Think the fact that his party was the day before confused me, or my stupidity excitement is getting the better of me Hmm

I'm so glad I'm not back in work now until next Wednesday, at least if AF shows up in the meantime I won't be trying to hold back the tears and having to pull myself together in the office loos again like last month Confused

Sorry you don't feel anything today Wax, it's still early days Wink

Trinpy · 25/06/2015 21:03

Sorry to hear you got another bfn Ava. My reasoning for giving in and testing early is that at least then you're not left wondering whether or not you would get a bfp if you tested early! And at least now the temptation is gone unless you do what I always do and spend a vast amount of money on buying more and more tests.

wax lack of symptoms doesn't mean you're not pregnant! It's still very very early days. Though I know it's sometimes easier to believe it's definitely not your month to avoid disappointment.

Opk was negative but the test line was very strong, so I'm taking that as a green light to get back to eod dtd. fx it's not another false alarm. I only have 5 opks and 1 hpt left and I've promised myself I will not buy anymore this cycle in an effort to curb my crazy poas addiction. Except obviously if I end up pregnant this cycle then I'm allowed to buy approx 1000000 hpts so I can poas as much as I like. Because I think that's only fair Grin.

AvaAmulet · 25/06/2015 22:01

Trinpy, you are a very wise lady Wink with the exception of the 1000000 hpts comment of course lol Grin

To avoid the temptation to poas again before Sunday, I have included hpts with our weekly online grocery order to be delivered on Sunday morning Grin now though, I face the prospect of possibly having to hold it in wait until the end of our 9-11am delivery slot to use fmu Blush Shock
