Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Pear, when it's meant to be it will be Wink

Er, just felt compelled to poas - again! Bfn - again! Of course it would be Hmm so no, I'm not going to waste another test tomorrow, or Thursday as I'm in work anyway. I'll next test on Friday she says if AF hasn't arrived x

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 07:13

My temp has dropped today. I was gutted. Then I realised test my leg was cold as we'd slept with the bedroom window open last night Hmm HmmHmm

You'd think I would, after ttc all this time, only poas on the day of or day after missed AF and only with fmu! Also, keep the room temperature consistent for temping to be valid!!!!! I am an idiot Hmm

My stomach is crampy so I do think AF is near Sad but a tiny part if me is allowing myself to believe that's just from all the good consumed last night. Will I never learn??!!! HmmHmmHmm

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 07:14

all the food

waxweasel · 24/06/2015 07:33

Bfn here too Sad

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 08:59

Aww ladies still really early days for you both! If AF stays away I'll be testing on 12dpo because I've got a bbq to go to that day and I won't be able to wait any longer. That said my mum is staying with us that weekend so she can babysit. DH will be working so I won't be able to share the news with him. I bet I end up testing on 10dpo Wink

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 09:03

I'm not sure whether to call dpo1 the day after the second peak or 2 days after the second peak. It's confusing because the cbfm says you have a high day after the second peak but I know on here it's been discussed that 1 dpo is the day after the second peak.

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 09:07

Fertility Friend is saying that today is 1dpo. Hmmm

LetThereBeCupcakes · 24/06/2015 09:18

Morning all - just trying to catch up.

wax sorry about the BFN but great news on the CM. Sounds like your DD will be really happy with her.

Ava Great news that DD settled herself! And so weird about the boob producing milk. There's a manatee at Miami Seaquarium that spontaneously lactates whenever there's a young manatee around. She fosters them. Sorry, not comparing you to a manatee - just made me think of it!

pear sounds like you really need the break! No idea on the DPO counting I'm afraid (and had to google DPO to find out what it was. Then got distracted reading about X Files episodes. I'm so rubbish at this TTC lark)

I had a dream last night that I was pregnant but didn't realise until I was already at my due date, and hadn't told work so they said I couldn't have maternity leave.

Might POAS just in case!

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 09:43

Cupcakes - I can't remember...what stage are you at now?

Wax - brilliant news on the CM. Sounds like a great choice for your dd Smile

I forgot to mention that I've been having very bad bleeding gums these last two days which is a sign of high progesterone. Not had this before at OV time (I don't think) so rather excited! I've experienced this before AF, during AF and my last pregnancy so it's obviously something that effects my gums. I'm pretty sure it's not happened like this at OV time though Grin

LetThereBeCupcakes · 24/06/2015 09:47

Pear I'm not really at any stage! Came off pill (Desorex) nearly 2 months ago. Still BFing DS morning and evening and half the night. No sign of AF yet.

So, yeah - that's it! Just DTD when we feel like it and see what happens.

Trinpy · 24/06/2015 11:04

Sorry to hear about the bfns Ava and Wax. But it is still early. fx for you both.

Bleeding gums don't sound great pear but I hope that is a positive sign for you Smile.

The app I'm using seems to think I'm going to ovulate next Thursday (cd 25) Hmm. I have no idea where it's got this from since I've yet to ovulate before cd 29! Fertility Friend used to do this too, putting my predicted ov date at cd 21 every month despite my cycles all being 6+ weeks long. Stupid apps Angry.

MiniLop · 24/06/2015 15:00

Hi all just got time to catch up on all the messages while DS is napping.
Ava and Wax, sorry about your BFNs.
Fx for you cupcakes!
Last night I fed DS at 10pm then not again until 5:30 am - hopefully that's enough for AF to come along! I didn't think I'd ever get so excited at the thought of AF!! Grin
Is it true once you start ov while breastfeeding you don't stop again?

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 19:40

Aww, Cupcakes, I don't mind you likening me to a manatee, I think they're cute Grin

And I just knew I was pg with DD and should poas ASAP the morning after I'd had a pg dream Wink

Great news that your progesterone levels appear to have increased, too, Pear Wink and I wouldn't have know when I ov'd unless I'd temped this month as I had multiple positive days for the first time Confused it was only temps that confirmed that I'd ov'd on the last day I got a positive opk, so I'm not much help sorry x

Trinpy, I hate it when apps just make up information. I'm always putting notes in mine to try to make sure that, eg, if MyDays thinks I'm likely to ov on a certain day, that I'm also entering when I think I will be, just so I'm armed with all the info from previous cycles/patterns too. My luteal phase extended a couple of months ago and the app didn't automatically alter this Hmm

MiniLop, while we're still breastfeeding I think our hormone levels can, for some women, be all over the place for a while. I've heard of ladies on here having AF return then not show up again for a while, or irregular or long cycles. I think, just because AF has returned there's no guarantee of ov, I'm afraid. I believe I had 6 months of anovulatory cycles Hmm some women seem to feed around the clock and get pg straight away, others need to cut down on feeds or stop altogether (and even then it can take a while) every woman is different. I'd recommend the best way to keep track of what's happening, and whether you are actually ovulating, is to track your temperature and use opks HTH Smile x

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 19:53

Update from me - no sign of AF and today is cd28. I haven't had cycles longer than 28 days since AF returned 11 months ago, and they were textbook 28 days before I conceived DD. I'm hoping I'm not just late this month with everything we've had going on Confused I'll let myself get my hopes up if AF hasn't arrived by Saturday. I ov'd 3 days late, so I may get AF 3 days late, is my reasoning... Hmm

We had a lovely day at the park and I almost wet myself (my bladder isn't what it used to be, lol Grin) at my sister and me on a suspended, revolving see-saw thingy that I've been secretly wanting to play on since we started taking DD there last year it was sooooo much fun, spinning and bouncing in the air, but when I got off I had a really worrying feeling that it might not have been the best idea I've had during the 2ww Hmm

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 19:55

Thanks Ava... I've noticed more Ewcm today so I will try and get us in the mood later but if it doesn't happen then I won't get upset as I know I've done really well this cycle and couldn't really do much more than I have. Probably best attitude to have!

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 19:58

Aww Ava... I smiled at your post. DH always reminds me that there are people climbing mountains, taking drugs and doing risky jobs but they still somehow managed to keep a baby during their pregnancy. I think the damage would be more risky when the baby is bigger. Right now your eggs is just floating happily down a tube Grin

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 20:36

Pear, I had a flashback to you a few cycles back worrying about the same thing after your trip to the park with DS and DH and went on the see-saw - I need to remember the advice I gave to you then lol Grin we need to focus on the lovely time we had creating that lovely memory not on irrational what ifs this early on Wink

So sorry Wax, I meant to mention your bfn earlier too - it's still early days! I keep trying to remind myself that, as long as AF stays away it's really good news - if not for this cycle (it would suck if it's not, though Hmm) then for future cycles, as it'd mean that my LP isn't as short as I feared it might have reverted back to, and I'd have more confidence in my body's ability to get a bfn next time around Grin There's still a lot of hope this cycle for both of us though Wink how are your feeling today btw?

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 20:41

Pear, love that you typed eggs - plural! I would welcome by body throwing multiple eggs towards the swimmers at this point - that way I'd get my 3 DCs by 37, as was my plan. That's what I was hoping the 3 days of strong positive opks was about. Not sure it actually works like that though?! Confused But I am 35 now, so we'll see Wink

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 20:45

And Pear, definitely dtd while you continue to see EWCM, if you can. Of all the times we have dtd through all these cycles, I finally had the instant 'oh, I think we might have made a baby' feeling this month, when I had EWCM, the day after ov Grin

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 21:05

Ava - hahhahahhah are you mistaking your body for one of those tennis machines shooting out balls GrinWink I read today that the sperm have a choice on their journey to turn to the left or right ovary and it really is pot luck that they turn to the one releasing the egg!

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 21:07

I'm about to hint the "dtd" idea to DH. Gawd wish me luck...don't think it's going to go down well ConfusedGrinShock

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 22:09

Good luck Wink

peardrop2 · 24/06/2015 22:44

Dangling legs in air before 11pm...this is improvement Wink I am officially done! No more (in June) wooppie Woop Woop Woop! I think I might actually enjoy the 2ww this time and not actually think about anything! Just 2 weeks of not thinking about poas, OV or dtd schedules sounds heavenly right now Grin (I say this now...wait until 4dpo Grin)

AvaAmulet · 24/06/2015 23:15

Well done, Pear Smile

I know what you mean - I'm soooo looking forward to not ttc next month, whatever result this cycle brings. And getting back on the healthy eating wagon. And not ss again for at least another 2 months Grin This 2ww with all its mind games is torture Shock

ispyfispi · 24/06/2015 23:16

Go Pear! That's a good attitude to have.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you Ava and Wax.

I shall really miss you guys when you all leave ????
