Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Ava - have you thought about whether you would try in August considering that's when we last got pregnant so we would have 2 children with birthdays in May? Are you pas caring now? I can't believe I was trying to avoid the summer months last year and delayed starting TTC until December lol what a joke

peardrop2 · 14/06/2015 22:50

I think I would just keep going. Too old to stop now (33 is not that old but still).

AvaAmulet · 14/06/2015 23:00

I wouldn't avoid August to avoid 2 DCs with close birthdays. I think I posted a few days ago about how it's stuck in my head that I'd conceive in August, but I don't know if that's because A) I conceived DD that month so that's what I'm associating that month with conceiving B) I'm expecting DD to be weaned by then so I'd feel more confident about ttc C) natural child-spacing means DCs are generally 3-3.5 years apart so I might subconsciously be thinking I could/would have 2 May babies??? Confused

I know you didn't ideally want DC#2 to share a birthday with DS. Have you changed your mind? We said the same back in Feb about avoiding ttc in April to avoid a Christmas due date. Fast forward to April and we were putting in just as much effort and wishing we had our bfp's that month Hmm Grin

AvaAmulet · 14/06/2015 23:01

Cross posted - I feel I can't waste any months either, time isn't on our side Hmm

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:25

Really upset. No smiley face Hmm Looks like I'm not going to ovulate at all this month. It's over 2.5 months since I fully weaned. I just don't get it.

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:26

Ava - I really wouldn't want dc to share a birthday. I don't mind dc2 sharing my birthday which is also in May. It would be a crazy expensive month that would require a lot of planning in advance but it's doable!

Mumof1sofar · 15/06/2015 07:33

Pear could it be that you already ov'd? If you're worried you could always go to your gp & ask for the 21 day blood test which checks you're ov'ing? I did that with dd1 when I wasn't getting pregnant quickly.

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:37

Mumofone - I really don't know whether I've OV'd or not. Surely the sticks would say. When I eject today's stick both lines are thick and it would only take a little more for them to be the same strength but it's been like this for days. Later when DS is awake I can compare all sticks as I've labelled them all this month like some loon Blush

Mumof1sofar · 15/06/2015 07:40

That's interesting if you're still getting 2 thick lines - maybe it will go straight to fixed tomorrow then?

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:42

Either way today is a dtd break. We could dtd at nap time but I think emotionally and physically we could both do with a break again and start up tomorrow. After 6x dtd it's taking its toll now Hmm I know that's not a lot but for some reason it feels so much this month! I think not seeing a smiley face really makes it harder! So I'm going to get up and have a happy time with DS at the park and just relax today and not think about it hah hah Grin

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:46

Mumofone - these are the old digital sticks so they only turn to a fixed smiley for 2 days when you have a LH surge. Yes, part of me wishes I had splashed out on the dual ones yesterday ConfusedConfused However, I could be still seeing flashing smells which would be equally frustrating.

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:47

Flashing smells Grin ahhh at least that made me smile Hmm

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 07:48

Btw it's now cd17. Only 11 days until AF arrives Confused

LetThereBeCupcakes · 15/06/2015 07:53

Pear sorry you've not got a smiley face. I'm not really up to speed with breastfeeding / fertility but 2.5 months is still quite early days I think. Glass of Wine for you.

Wax that tent is amazing! I've considered doing something like that myself but by the time I get 'round to it DS will probably have grown up and moved out. Hmm

Massive congratulations Mumof1 (soon to be 2)

Nothing to report here unfortunately! DS has been waking up in the night for the past couple of weeks and wanting BF so I'm guessing that's likely to dely things. He keeps saying he wants a baby in the house though (a couple of his friends have become older siblings lately!). He specifically wants a "green one, mummy". Since his Dad isn't Kermit the Frog I think this is unlikely.

AvaAmulet · 15/06/2015 08:41

Oh pear, I think a day off will do you some good. I really think you'll get your smiley tomorrow and have a 10 day LP (like me Hmm)

Cupcakes, they come out with the craziest/funniest things, don't they?! How old us your DS? Grin

We've been feeding so much during the night lately so much more than when we fed lots during the day Confused

Temperature has gone up a bit, but my tiny dip was a few days ago so I don't know what's going on?? Shock

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 13:57

Ava - sadly if I OV'd tomorrow I would only have a 9dpo HmmConfused I'm starting to think I'm out this month. The 2ww won't be a long wait this month SadAngry

AvaAmulet · 15/06/2015 14:14

Oh sorry, Pear Sad are you going to give temping another go next cycle! or do you think that would confuse things even more?? Confused

AvaAmulet · 15/06/2015 16:05

Just dtd while DD naps Smile Last time now this cycle Wink tg for DH being on leave again today, it was booked ages ago so not planned around ov at all, but he really couldn't have timed the leave better Grin

Really weirdly though, today was my first EWCM this cycle but ov would have occurred yesterday according to sticks and temps - is that odd??? Is it my body's last ditch attempt to fertilise the egg??? Confused

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 16:21

Ava - well done Wink That's very odd about Ewcm but then wasn't Mumofone asking us about that quite late on in her TTC mission?! Perhaps it's a good sign! You don't think it's sperm?

No, I really don't think temping was for me at all. It had a terrible effect on my sleep as I was always nervous about forgetting. It certainly put a lot more stress on it for me. Next month I will have to buy a box of 20 dual hormone sticks and start again, sadly.

AvaAmulet · 15/06/2015 16:36

Did Mumo have that too?? Memory like a fish at times! Will try to find her posts about that...

It was there from the start and in the wrong place to be sperm iykwim Blush and DH said dtd definitely felt (good) different today. Guessing it is fertile cm, as I don't think it's possible to be sperm from yesterday after shower, sleep, day to day activities is it?? Confused

I've been known to check the time at bizarre hours during the night, eg 2am, convinced it's time to temp Hmm

AvaAmulet · 15/06/2015 16:49

Really need to stop googling short luteal phases resulting in bfp's or I'm going to drive myself crazy in this 2ww.... Hmm

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 20:43

Ava - how short? Wink

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 20:43

Not that I should be encouraging u!!

peardrop2 · 15/06/2015 22:05

Why is it the night I have no dtd pressure I'm full of energy Grin
