Worried about TTC baby 2 after 40

Hi, conceived first baby at 40, now trying for 2nd at 42 but worried about risks as given such a scare first time round.

All well with first child thank God.

Also, no idea if it will happen anyway as took a while first time round and I don't want babies in mid forties.

Any advice or experience?
