Hiya, I'm also in the TWW (DPO 10 today) ttc #1. What DPO are you and when are you going to be testing. If you search for a thread titled "who wants to buddy up?" theres quite a bunch of us over there waiting to test on Saturday, theyre a friendly bunch!

ClareC85 · 17/05/2015 20:02

Oh wonderful thank you, im 3 DPO today so will be testing 31st .. this feels like the first month im getting to grips with it all.. Can i ask how long you have been TTC

HiGrin. Hope you don't mind me joining. This is my first message on here, but think buddying up is a great idea..
We've been TTC for 4 months now. I came of the pillow December and my cycles have been irregular since then. So it's pretty impossible for me to chart. I'm currently onCD42. Hmm I've done 3 tests this month - allBFN. I promised myself I wouldn't get obsessed or upset but it's so hard! X

seliz84 · 20/05/2015 21:05

*off the pill in December, not pillow!!

ClareC85 · 20/05/2015 21:16

Hi seliz84, how are you?... I can completely understand how it feels getting the BFN its hard when you've made the decision and want it so much ... I've only just had my first proper cycle this month (5th) so its the waiting game now for me ... have you tried OPKs? ... also internet ready can be your worst enemy lol

OP posts:
seliz84 · 20/05/2015 21:42

Hi Clare. I know, the waiting game isn't fun at all!
I've not tried OPKs yet, but I do have some ready to go! Waiting for my next cycle to start them. Do you do them? How are you feeling? Fx for you this month Smile

ClareC85 · 21/05/2015 08:11

I tried them last month and they did show when I was apparently ovulating (no bfp) but the more I read about them the more I decided to just try and let my cycle come back naturally ..I've been on cerazette for since I was 16 (14 years) this feels like the first regular cycle ive had since stopping the pill... I am loving not being on the pill though! ... around the time I should be ovulating I do get tender breasts .. do you have any ovulation symptoms?

PetrovaFossil1 · 21/05/2015 08:46

Ooh! Can I join in? I'm TTC number 2 and due to test around 29th May.
I came off the pill in March and still haven't worked out my cycles yet.
Pretty much every twinge has me convinced I'm pregnant so far...

PetrovaFossil1 · 21/05/2015 08:46

TTC number one I meant!

seliz84 · 21/05/2015 10:24

I've not noticed any symptoms of me ovulating. Though until this last month I was adamant I would just "see what happens". I've got a fertility app on my phone now so going to try and chart any symptoms. Just want AF to come so I can start!

Hi Petrova Smile
Fx for you on the 29th. Have you been getting any symptoms? I felt nauseous and dizzy last week so really got my hopes up.. 3 BFN's later I accepted it was just a sickness bug.

It's so nice having people to talk to that are in the same boat. My hubby is amazing but he's got a "it'll happen when it happens" approach. I had to give him a little biology lesson the other day as he thought I was fertile all the time!

PetrovaFossil1 · 21/05/2015 14:11

Well I'm trying to convince myself I have sore nipples (TMI!) and some cramps over the last day but who knows! Last month I had every symptom in the book and was 'definitely' pregnant, except I wasn't!

How about you?
I know what you mean about speaking to DH. He sort of wants to know the details but suspect he'd be rather off out if I start talking about cervical mucus!

PetrovaFossil1 · 21/05/2015 14:13

God my typing is terrible. 'Off out' = 'put off'

ClareC85 · 21/05/2015 18:11

Hi Ladies Smile its so nice to hear others are going through the same frustrations. I had a month like that last month where I thought i had every symptom going. 4 BFN's later boo!... My DH is all for knowing the in's and out's of things until i actually explained them ... I think he was in the same boat and though us women where just permanently fertile!... it does make me wonder if all those 'accidents' i hear about are actually accidents!.

Im testing on the 30th .. 8 days to go i am trying so hard to be stronger this time and not test early .. i had to remove myself from 'that aisle' in the supermarket today!... so far not feeling any symptoms ... slight tummy cramp but i think that could be anything!

Clare AF came yesterday so I'm now just into cycle 3. Hoping for third time lucky!

RattyCatty · 22/05/2015 07:19

Can I join ladies? Similar boat to you all!
Ttc #1 & v irregular periods since stopping the pill in December. Cycles have been 76, 36 and now on 41 Confused
Am 8 dpo according to an opk but not sure whether I'm actually ovulating! Damn the pill! I'm obviously trying to remain chilled haha.
Baby dust x

PetrovaFossil1 · 22/05/2015 08:43

How many DPO do you guys wait before testing? According to my OPK I ovulated day 7 or 8 which feels crazy early so not sure whether I still have to be strong and wait until period is due or if I can just go for it a bit sooner (who am I kidding... I'm totally going to test early because I have no willpower!)

PetrovaFossil1 · 22/05/2015 08:44

Ps Welcome Ratty!

RattyCatty · 22/05/2015 08:54

12dpo if you can wait?! (I say this although I would obviously buckle!) Wink

seliz84 · 23/05/2015 07:21

Sounds hopeful the Petrova!

Symptom spotting is awful, you suddenly become aware of every slight twinge.
I'm not having any symptoms. I'm now on CD 44. Last cycle was 54 days... So frustrating!
I went to the docs about my long cycles, she gave me some pointless advice (keep having sex!) and told me to go back in 2 years!!

Clare my hubby was exactly the same - I started to give details and he stopped me quite quickly! Men have it so easy!!

Hi Rattycatty! I know how you feel! They should warn you about this when you take the pill.. I'd have come off it ages ago if I'd known!

RattyCatty · 23/05/2015 09:14

Seliz84 I can't believe the doc told you to come back in 2 years?! I thought you could go back after a year if no luck??! Did they say anything else?!

I know - never going on the pill agAin! A few of my friends didn't get a period for over 6 months after stopping it!

Any news Petrova?

seliz84 · 23/05/2015 12:27

I know, I'd heard a year, but she said not to go back until 2 years...which I will blatantly ignore!
She just told me to eat healthy, lose weight (I'm not overweight), exercise, lots of sex, take prenatal vitamins.
I'm going to wait until July and go back and request blood tests if I'm still really irregular.

louwn · 24/05/2015 00:33

Hi Claire, I will prob test on the 30th too if no AF appears.

PetrovaFossil1 · 24/05/2015 02:09

2 years!!! I mentioned to my doctor that we were TTC but wasn't sure about my cycle and she told me to come back in 6 months if not pregnant.
I did read somewhere that average time to get back to normal is 6 months but 97% are fine by 9 months.
Nothing from me, (unfortunately) I feel totally normal. Trying to tell myself that symptoms this early are just normal PMS ones usually anyway. Just like last month I was convincing myself that they were real!

Are you taking any supplements or anything to regulate you cycle?

RattyCatty · 24/05/2015 09:57

Yes def go back sooner! It's so hard to remain chilled when ttc, especially with irregular cycles after pill!

I think I'll go to doc in July and see what they say as that will be 6 months! Don't want to get fobbed off though!
Cx

PetrovaFossil1 · 24/05/2015 11:24

I think at the very least if you go back to see Doctor earlier than they suggested, it will go on your medical records so that can't be bad.

When I spoke to mine they said 'oh, you're only 31. You should be fine, you're so young!' Which was very reassuring after all the stuff you see about mothers over 30 being classified as geriatric etc.
