Are you sick to the tits of baby-making sex? Or are you squelching with rabid lust when the lickle hand strikes cock o' clock? Have you already picked Sophia and Hugo as your baby names? Do you want to gouge out the smug eyes of the pregnant women in Sainsbo's? Do you shove balloons up your Boden sweater and pretend you have baby in your tum-tum? Have you already picked out your Farrow & Ball nursery paint? GREAT! Then you're just like us: We are the friendliest, wittiest, gayest, animal-lovingest, cervical-hunting women you will ever meet.

Come on, you frightened little trying-to-conceive mice...come join the fun on the Bumsnet bus. You know you wanna Smile

GUM clinics won't give you an HIV test unless you go and tell them you've had unprotected sex with someone who is high risk or that you have injected drugs with needles used by someone with HIV. Sammy, your GP surgery is under no obligation to carry out these types of blood tests as your IVF cycle is nowt to do with them (the private one, obvs). However, I begged and pleaded with my surgery and they performed all mine and DH's tests pre-IVF abroad. They were exceptionally sniffy about it but I kind of got a bit shouty and entitled in the surgery in front of lots of people. I also demanded to see the practice manager, who I also got hoity-toity with.

When I got my BFP I then need £600 worth of injections to take me right through my pregnancy and the GP surgery were literally unable to prescribe (Clexane). So..I phoned the secretary of the consultant who gave me Clomid five months before and begged her to have a word with him and tell him of my IVF success. Apparently he was 'delighted' for me and prescribed everything I needed Smile I know I will not get that level of support this time Sad

sammy yes, even if it's negative. Apparently just asking for a test makes you high risk (not that they'd know if you ask and don't go through). Talk to your doctor. They would know more than I do!

I've worked in a high risk industry before and now can't get life insurance, I now know life insurance providers can be evil bastards. It wouldn't be a problem if I didnt have a massive mortgage for the privilege of living in a tiny home in an expensive town.

ThePug · 16/05/2015 12:08

Boris I can't believe having had a test and it being negative makes you higher risk than someone who hasn't had a test and the insurer has no idea if they are or aren't positive! What a ridiculous situation.

chopsface · 16/05/2015 12:20

purdey floating turds mean they have a high fat content from poor diet. Must try harder....

Pixa · 16/05/2015 13:35

Fantastically written introduction, Purdie.

Queen I hope you are feeling better.

Daisy Great to see you posting again, too. I always, every single month, imagine the birth month, and how we will tell our families, and the first few days at home. It is all consuming. Each month we get one step closer though. Flowers

Glitteryflaps I hope you feel better soon! Giggling at your story about DHs graze. If you have any tips about how I can support DH, let me know. Or do I just lend him an actual hand? He informed me that it wasn't allowed to be 'Coitus Interruptus' I can't believe they won't give you the results over the phone, extremely irritating.

Night painful sex? Preseed is the answer! Well, it helps. I also suffer with digestive problems, pizza is by far thr worst. I just bloat massively - it's not the sexiest look for TTCing... I also thought flaxseed was fine... Great news on painless DTD.

DizzyNorth Great that you are starting to feel better. Enjoy your run!

BabyGiraffe, hello! ^^

Chops Enjoy telling your parents. Smile

Ibeka boo to the weekend chores.

DH has come home with a fold away table. He thought it would be good for me so I can put my sewing machine in the lounge. He is so very sweet. He is really worried about the SA, he keeps telling me that he doesn't want to 'let me down'. I have tried persuading him to give his sample early to put his mind at rest, but he won't. Would it be awful of me to tell him I have ovulated early? I hate that he feels this way.

We have been dating for five years this month. DH had kept the original cinema tickets, so we're getting them put in a keepsake frame. A BFP around then would be lovely.

For the stats ###Cycle 10, BFP due 1st June###

nightandthelight · 16/05/2015 13:58

Your DH is so cute pixa, mine is wonderful but would never think to keep the cinema tickets!

purdiepie · 16/05/2015 14:07

If that's the case, Chops, how come I'm nice and slender with spectacular tits?

In an interesting development since I posted my chart earlier, saliva test had full on fertile pattern so literally grabbed DH for immediate CoC. I then did an opk and the line is probably about half as dark as the control. If I had ov'd 3 days ago as FF said, I'm sure I wouldn't have a line at all (or only a very faint one). Guess I'll just have to do another one tomorrow and see if it's darker and keep on shagging Oh the joys of ttc, how I had missed you Hmm

Hairstylisttoboris · 16/05/2015 14:32

juney!!!!!! Yey!!! I

lucieloos · 16/05/2015 15:25

Purdie that's interesting you had clexane last time. I am having that and prednisone which is a steroid this time around think it's for something to do with immunes incase your body kills off the embryo thinking it's an infection. I haven't had any of the immune testing done to know if I need it but they have agreed for me to try it just incase. What did you have the clexane for? Do they give that do all donor cycles?

woodpigeon123 · 16/05/2015 17:10

purdie - do you think my hormones are out of whack cos of my weird temperatures? Oh no.....

I've already had day 21 tests, plus a few other bloods. Which tests would show up weird unbalanced hormones do you think?

xxxx

eskimoflo · 16/05/2015 18:01

Just got in after teaching a revision session for Year 11 this morning, and attending a speed awareness course this afternoon. I said to DH 'did you miss me?' and he replied 'Yes. I had a wank.' I said 'Really?' (Bearing in mind that we have had CoC every day for the last 4 days') And he said 'No. I don't want to touch it. I don't even want to own it anymore...' I think I've put one too many demand on him this week. Grin

ThePug · 16/05/2015 18:19

Hahahahaha eskimo your stories of DH never fail to amuse. Don't forget you gave him the last easter egg; he doesn't get that for doing nothing! Were you caught speeding? I am Shock You're a teacher, you should be a law abiding pillar of the community!

eskimoflo · 16/05/2015 18:37

I was Pug. Guess where I was going? I was taking my boy to the vets! But I was speeding. Fair and square. There was a GP on the same course who had been caught speeding whilst responding to a medical emergency, which sparked a moral debate about whether or not he should have been able to attend. Confused I sat next to quite a fit biker, so I was happy for 4 hours... well, as happy as I could have been under the circumstances. Hmm

Night Have you heard anything else about your podenco? You've probably Googled it by now, but a podenco is a breed of dog from the Canary Islands. podenco literally means 'hound.' They are usually a gingery red colour and they can be long or short-haired. They are also used for hunting in Spain, although not as widely as galgos.

I have had a HIV test from the GUM clinic before- when DH and I first got together. I just went in and they screened me for everything. Didn't have to pay or even give a real reason. I just said I had a new partner and wanted testing just in case. This was 2.5 years ago. Smile

Nomio230 · 16/05/2015 18:55

I have had HIV tests as part of my fertility investigations. I was never asked whether or not I wanted them, but was just told it is routine, and that they check everyone. If that stops me getting life insurance in the future, I will be seriously pissed off!

Night/Chops, I could possibly understand an entry into the wrong hole once, but repeatedly does not seem 'accidental' to me!

Eskimo, sounds like you have broken DH!

chopsface · 16/05/2015 19:42

Lol Purdue! Have you eaten something extra bad in the last 48 hours?!

I also had HIV and other STI's tests done as part of routine fertility investigations, dh had to have them too. The GP did them as they were compulsory on the referral forms to the clinic.

eskimoflo · 16/05/2015 19:54

chops Watching Friends- the one with the rat babies - and it made me think of you Smile

juneybean · 16/05/2015 20:47

Naughty eskimo ! I had to do speed awareness in 2013, illuminating like.

I'm not understanding any of these entry into wrong hole things like!! Bloody glad this doesn't happen to me!! She'd get a sharp slap!

Yus I am in a facebook official relationship Wink

Forgot to mention but lovely night is now helping to update stats! Grin

juneybean · 16/05/2015 20:47

purds you had a lot of greasy food lately?!

nightandthelight · 16/05/2015 21:08

Will do my best juney! I tend to access from my phone though so you will probably beat me to any updates. I tend to be better at big group updates :)

nightandthelight · 16/05/2015 21:10

nightandthelight · 16/05/2015 21:31

loopylou1984 · 16/05/2015 22:17

Radom question - is EPO know to make your cycle longer/ov later?
I alwaysed used to ov cd14/15, but the last month and I'm guessing this month (tomorrow) it's been cd17! Might just be coincidence but I've been taking EPO for 2 cycles now. No change what so ever in ewcm either! Xx
