Happy that made me smile too!

Minx well done on getting it done and over with! Yes EC tomorrow eek.

The hcg shot was a disaster - the top of the powder didn't break off properly and smashed in my hand, which started bleeding and there was glass in the powder too, I was totally panicked! I just ended up trying to be really careful not to suck up glass after dissolving it. Sad eejit.

beakybeak · 24/05/2015 15:31

HB best of luck for tomorrow, how are you feeling?

HampshireBlues · 24/05/2015 17:26

Thank you Beaky you too; I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Minx glad the exam went ok, hope you're enjoying the sun!

HampshireBlues · 24/05/2015 17:28

BTW for the record I'm cacking myself which is pretty unusual for me so trying to keep calm and get through the next 15 hours! not that I'm counting or anything

beakybeak · 24/05/2015 18:56

HB really hoping for a bfp for you, I have everything crossed. Hand to hold here for you too.

tigerdog · 24/05/2015 19:54

hb I'm impressed at your resolve and very hopeful for a bfp! Everything crossed here too.

beaky that sounds like a nightmare! Hope you're ok. Sounds like you had it sorted in the end though. Everything tightly crossed and a big squeeze.

Well done minx!

I am finding solace in Wine once again. Sunday roast and a glass of red, lovely. Have postponed the restart of the health kick to the end of the month!

sparechange · 24/05/2015 21:33

HB, just wanted to pop in and say I'm thinking of you and keeping everything crossed and all pom-poms waving furiously
BerryPower!

Smidge001 · 24/05/2015 22:28

Good luck HB!

IamKuma · 24/05/2015 22:53

Good luck HB.

Good luck for EC Beaky! I've no idea why they make those triggers so fiddly. My first was a prefilled pen, so the second time when I got the powder one I was most unimpressed!

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

barkingtreefrog · 24/05/2015 23:03

Just popping in to give some pom pomming action to hb you go girl!

Beaky those hcg bottles are a nightmare, I confess it's the one bit of the injections I made dh do - snapping the top off the bottles!!

I've just got back from a weekend away, long drive (which dh did most of while I slept in the back with the dog Grin) and up early in the morning to pack for sunny Spain!! Off out there for a wedding. I'm in that 'i have no idea what to pack' place...

nolly3 · 25/05/2015 00:11

just to wish you luck hb and beaky v v much

HampshireBlues · 25/05/2015 06:30

Um.....I think that this classes as a positive test? I'm little shocked and overwhelmed.

Woohoooo! hb I knew it. Congratulations! Fabulous strong line too. So chuffed to see this!

Good luck today beaky! Thinking of you x

Spain sounds awesome barking! Hope you get your packing done.

Two friends I've not spoken to for a while popped up on Facebook pregnant yesterday. I really feel like I'm the only one left. It didn't used to bother me but I seem to be feeling every announcement more acutely at the moment.

happylass · 25/05/2015 07:04

Wooohooo!! Fantastic news to wake up to. Huge congratulations HB!!! What number cycle was this for you? Did you do anything different this time?

No experience as such happy but I had a long chat with my acu lady on Sat (who has a clinical background) about next steps. She told me that she thought I didn't need dhea due to age/good response/AMH but suggested CoQ10 as an add on to the zita west vits I take, so that's all I'm going to do for now. She does recommend it in ladies with a lower AMH. She also takes dhea herself though, for menopausal symptoms and sings its praises (apart from the facial hair growth side effects Shock ).

Egg quality is also my concern. Diet is my other focus - continuing to be wheat free and cutting back on refined sugar.

She has also suggested I self refer to Coventry for an endometrial biopsy due to the itching/bumpyrash I've had for the past two weeks or so (since bfp)- I thought it was caused by the drugs but she is concerned it might be an immune response. Has anyone else experienced this?!

barkingtreefrog · 25/05/2015 07:59

Woohoo hb!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Glad I popped on!!!! although dh is going to get cross if I don't start packing soon!!!

beakybeak · 25/05/2015 08:01

Woohoo HB! Fantastic news Smile how are you feeling? An auspicious day today hopefully Wink

Tiger sorry about the preggos.

Happy I am fairly convinced on the dhea front and will be taking it from now on. You always seemed to have good quality eggs though didn't you.

Thanks for the good lucks berries, just on the way in. Feel totally woozy already from the lorazepam blergh.

Big hug beaky xxx

Minx I have found that the showers themselves are lovely. It's just afterwards I've had the odd little cry. I hope it goes ok.

I've been wheat/gluten free for almost 18 months, with the odd break usually when on holiday. I have two family members with Coeliacs so it wasn't difficult for me to switch, as I'm used to avoiding. I've been tested too but came back clear. Really it just means more cooking from scratch and less processed food. Typically I have gf porridge for breakfast or fruits/nuts/seeds with yoghurt. Salads and soups instead of sandwiches and lots of bean/lentil/fish/chicken based evening meals. I've had to up my meat intake from once every couple of weeks to a couple of times a week to try and get enough protein. My weakness is chocolate, and baking...lemon polenta cake, cupcakes, macaroons...baking is one of my hobbies so I find it doubly hard to quit!

WildflowerMarmalade · 25/05/2015 08:35

Brilliant news HB. Well done you. That is a good strong line you've got there. So pleased for you.

Beaky hope all goes / has gone well for you today.

Where is your rash Tiger? Wonder what it could be. It does seem as if you had decent egg quantity and quality, although quality is harder to check as even perfect looking embryos can have abnormalities.

I read somewhere recently that if you were to take just one thing for egg quality / fertility that one thing should be CoQ10. I'm damned if I can remember where I read that though. Rebecca Fett says in ISWTE that the ubiquinol form is more easily absorbed than ubiquinone.

Pipbin · 25/05/2015 09:00

Congratulations HB - now it gets even more damn stressful. Grin
Will you get an early scan?

One point to note to the ladies that are eating beautiful healthy food. The cycle that worked for me was the one where I ate crap.

sparechange · 25/05/2015 09:01

Great news HB
I'm so happy for you Grin

Gillster · 25/05/2015 09:13

Amazing news HB, I'm so chuffed for you. I understand you'll be mega cautious about getting excited at this stage, really hope this is a sticky one (or two).

Hope the 2ww is going OK for you Spare.

Good luck Beaky! Hoping that they can find a couple more follicles and that the get a few great quality eggs. Have been willing you on from afar.

Hi to everyone else . Sorry for all the preggo bombing that's been going on. These announcements always seem to happen when we're feeling at our lowest.

tigerdog · 25/05/2015 09:18

spare, how are you doing on your 2ww?

wild it was my stomach and lower back itching like crazy to start with but it has gradually moved outwards so now it's the tops of my arms and lower legs. There isn't really a rash to speak of, maybe the odd bump and now some red dots where I've scratched too much. Blush

Mr T is very sad today. He really thought the IVF would work and seems to have given up hope. Best get myself out of bed and go cheer him up.

Have a lovely bank holiday ladies. Flowers

ladybunnikins · 25/05/2015 10:23

Congratulations HB! Was this your 3rd cycle? Come to the copter thread when you feel ready.
