A bit of a long background for me along with our STATS.
Rememberallball age 43, DP age 46. Came to decision we would ttc in September last year so didn't have Depo when due. Regular practicing but no return of AF by Christmas so saw GP for advice and told thst, due to age, need to be trying for 6 months before any investigations (know known as Ix) would happen. Went away and waited. Nothing by mid January so took 7 days of norethisterone to see if it would kick start things.
Around that time DF sadly passed away suddenly. I finished the 7 days of tablets and, within 2 weeks, had a withdrawal bleed. 2 weeks later AF visited again which confused us but guessed it was connected to norethisterone. After that AF I started using OPKs to see if my body was returning to normal. No positives that month.
By this time it was March and we went back to GP who accepted our 6 months timings and sent me off for blood tests. (Results given to me about 10 days later but waited to this week for discussion with GP about results.) AF appeared a week after bloods and approx 29 days after previous AF. This was useful for plotting point in cycle at which bloods were taken.
April 2015 we used OPKs again and got +ve result at cd13; dtd few days round then and seemed to have some symptoms that could have been indicative of success but AF put in an appearance at cd25. Was shorter and lighter than usual but bfn all the way. Saw GP gor blood results and, all acceptable for being d21 except for progesterone which was showing as being much earlier in the cycle and probably indicated I didn't ovulate in that cycle. So was in line with my OPKs. I'm to have repeat d21 progesterone levels on May 14th so hope they'll be much improved.
Started OPKs on Friday (cd8) and got faint line immediately and, after reading about it on another thread, I started to poa-opk twice a day. Yesterday late pm got a much stronger line - almost as strong as the control line - so we're going to make the most of it and dtd whenever possible while the OPKs show we're in the window!!
Summary : me 43, DP 46; ttc #1; confirmed cycle 3 but ttc for 8/12; cd10; bfp/AF due around 21/05.
