Yeah wish I think most of us are more likely to round it down by 2 days!! Grin

Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 10:51

dizzym you're halfway through the TWW! Smile

boris how are you?

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 02/05/2015 10:54

AF due to start on monday. Think I'm 10-12 dpo (not really used ov sticks properly so not sure) and used a cheap midstream test that I think was from home bargains.

Probably was too early but if it was +ve I'd know to not drink at family party today.

Fx AF stays away and it really was too soon. Symptom-wise I've had an increased appetite, strange stomach cramps, felt more knackered at work than usual, been for a wee more often than usual, had an itchy boob the other day (although now they just feel heavy like they normally would pre-af).

FRER's might come today, so if I wait til monday or later, there should be a better chance of getting a definite answer for this cycle.

DizzyMerry · 02/05/2015 11:44

I have everything crossed for you maybemrs even my legs I am in the tww after all Grin

I keep swinging from being positive to being so worried that it hasn't happened again. I really don't know how I'll cope with getting to cycle 15.

TeenieDeenie · 02/05/2015 11:44

Morning all Smile Thanks to all you ladies for such a warm welcome.

Mumof1 are you using the CB dual hormone ov kit? Also a blank smiley for me today, CD18 of a 37 day cycle, think I might run out of test before I get my static smiley lol...

Miiss, massive respect for your 6 day DTD-a-thon. You definitely deserve your BFP after that!!!!

Night, adoption is such a lovely idea and tbh since my mmc it's something I've started thinking about. I'm 35 and no reason to believe I will not conceive again or be able to carry a baby. However its still a worry, I would definitely plan to look into adoption if that was the case. X

I don't know all of the acronyms yet but am planning to start trying for our first baby after my period which is due tomorrow (as we are about to head off on holiday, so hopefully we will be nice and relaxed!).

Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 15:11

night do I spy an implantation dip?! Wink

dizzym stay positive, fx this is your month, no need to think it's not at this point Smile oh the book arrived today! Just starting to read it now...

maybe keeping fx for you!

DH and I are upping our fruit & veg intake from this month, got some Brazil nuts too! I also feel my natural stressy-ness (mainly caused by work) probably isn't helping things, so am going to try and generally be a bit calmer! I had a horrible stressful day at work last month, right before I was due to ovulate, and it was the latest I've ovulated in a few months....may be completely unlinked, but it's been a bit of a wake up call!

nightandthelight · 02/05/2015 15:15

Trying not to think that woolly! juney had one last cycle and no bfp :( Don't want to get my hopes up!

Great news on the healthy eating and destressing :) I have drawn up a new Zita West approved menu (well mostly) so our meals are pretty healthy, it's the snacks that are the problem (I say as I eat a bag of peanut M&Ms).

Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 15:16

Welcome louwn! Smile a holiday sounds like a great way to start TTcing!

Some acronyms below...
BFP/BFN - big fat positive/negative
EWCM - egg white cervical mucus
DH/DP/DD/DS - darling husband/partner/daughter/son
AF - Aunt Flo (period!)
DTD - Doing The Deed

nightandthelight · 02/05/2015 15:17

Ooh louwn where are you going

OP posts:
Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 15:20

Oh and OPKs - ovulation predictor kits, BBT - basal body temperature!

Haha night we have a bonbon jar full of peanut M&Ms- they are my weakness!! Your meal plans sound very healthy, I'll have to look into the Zita West menus!

Totally understand about not getting your hopes up, got my fx for you though x

nightandthelight · 02/05/2015 15:22

Thanks woolly :) What are you doing with your weekend?

OP posts:
Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 15:28

Currently reading "taking charge of your fertility" night which arrived in the post earlier!
We've been away the last couple of weekends so just having a chilled one really, need to get boring house chores done too! How about you?

sarah1391 · 02/05/2015 15:31

Thanks wooly for explaining some of the acronyms! I'm new to mumsnet too so that's helped!! Hi louwn, a holiday sounds great! Wev just started trying this weekend

nightandthelight · 02/05/2015 15:34

Ooh let me know any interesting tips woolly!

OP posts:
Woolly84 · 02/05/2015 15:36

No worries sarah!Smile

I will do night Smile

DizzyMerry · 02/05/2015 15:55

Welcome louwn. What a relaxing start to ttc. Where are you going?

Night your chart is looking good. Fx for you. Oh and I missed your post about adoption. What a lovely thing to do. DH's cousin is single and she adopted two boys. They're brothers and it's heart warming to see them. Such a selfless and rewarding to do.

Get reading woolly I'm still attached to my book Confused

louwn · 02/05/2015 17:27

Thanks for the welcome all, and thanks to Woolly for the guide! We are off to barbados...treat as probably our last long haul holiday for a while, fingers crossed!

AmyFlame1986 · 02/05/2015 17:46

Louwn welcome! I am in a similarly position to you have come off the pill and I am getting to know my body again! However after testing and testing my OPKs are positive and for the first time ever I have noticed a change in my cm (probs because I have never looked/cared before!). Here's to DTD lots and fingers crossed for BFP

LazyDaisy99 · 02/05/2015 18:00

Hi all, hope you are having good weekends. Just wondering if anyone is using a good tracking app they could recommend? I've just downloaded kindara and thinking of keeping my data in it, anyone using it at all?

Hey Amy, I'm just off the pill too and OPKs all negative so far - cd18 - first time I've noticed EWCM today too, like you say I've probably not checked before! Trying to persuade my OH to DTD lots this weekend but he's not used to me being so keen and he's not sure what to make of it or how to handle it I don't think!

nightandthelight · 02/05/2015 18:02

Fertility Friend is the one I use Lazy :) it's very good if you plan on bbt.

OP posts:
AmyFlame1986 · 02/05/2015 18:34

Hi Lazy, Is this your first time trying? This is month 1 for me and I am already picking up loads of tips on here. My DH was more keen than me about ttc to the point I think a little bit of him would be disappointed if we were lucky straight away!

oddlyinpatient · 02/05/2015 18:46

maybe fingers crossed its just too early. I had to wait until dpo15 for a bfp last time....despite me desperately testified everyday from dpo 10! That was with FRER and IC.

lazy I use Fertility friend too. I really like it. Plus the learning modules are quite useful too.

I'm dpo 10 and feeling hopeful. I had a mother rise in temps today. My successful chart had two rises so I'm hoping tomorrow I stay high too.
I had horrendous nausea whilst feeding dd1 this evening. Practically heaving at the table. She wasn't eating much that smelt so not sure what triggered it.
I also have a horrendous headache kicking in. Fingers crossed! I'm amazed I've not tested yet - I'm very pleased with myself! Grin
