They are here Thursday to Tuesday. It's a very long weekend. I'd not have minded Saturday- Monday or something shorter so at least I might have had some time as family time.

MiissMartiin · 03/05/2015 11:11

gooo woolly !! woohooo Grin
.. im only doing it for 3 more days to make sure im covered then ill prob do it everyotherday... we are pretty 'active'Blush anyway about everyother day... im surprised really after being together over 7 years! its nice we still 'fancy' eachother. .. i feel like ttc is making us feel alot closer does anyone else feel like that? Smile
he's now starting to get more interested now and brings up babies and pregnacy in convo rather than me being all psycho over it hehe. ..

Woolly84 · 03/05/2015 11:12

That is a fair while boris - you might have to ration loo time though! Confused

AmyFlame1986 · 03/05/2015 11:45

maybe good work on the patience, I don't think I will be that good!

woolly84 good luck for the shagathon. I have a feeling miiss has way more stamina than me! DH thinks all this Christmases have come at once, I haven't gone into much detail with him about most fertile times etc, mainly because he will freak and say I am being a control freak about it!
It's very odd actually ttc after spending so long avoiding it! Having coming off the pill I have realised the effect the pill had on my body, quite scary really!

Anyone have any exciting plans for today?

TrixieRay · 03/05/2015 13:52

Hi! I'm still here. Sorry I have been AWOL. Have been feeling a bit low re TTC and just needed to take a step back. Trying to focus on getting ready for IVF in June rather than getting my hopes up only to be disappointed yet again. AF is due tomorrow and been having cramps so think it may arrive today so onto cycle 18....

I just turned 34, was convinced on my last birthday I would be pregnant or have a baby by now! To top it off a few days before my birthday I was baby bombed by DB and DSIL. I knew it may happen at some point but I'm pretty sure they'd not been trying for long. I did a really good job of being enthusiastic for them but had a cry afterwards - feel awful for crying when it is such happy news but just so jealous! I am the oldest so really wanted to have the first grandchild.

I've only read back on this thread so need to read back on the previous ones to catch up on all the goss!

MissMrsMummy, you're 5 weeks along! Brilliant news Smile

GrandHighWitch, lovely to see you, have everything crossed for a nice sticky bean for you very very soon.

Wharm14 · 03/05/2015 14:05

Hello, Can I join the gang please? Rather a nervous participant due to my history. Last September I had a BFP and was about 7 weeks along when I suffered an Ectopic Pregnancy and had surgery to remove a tube. I had posted on a similar thread about my TWW and the BFP and was heart broken when I lost it. Haven't felt brave enough to post anything since about it.

We've just started TTC again this month and I've just entered to TWW again, AF due on May 16th.

We're trying for our first and I'm about to turn 38 in July.

Keeping it low key this time though, so not getting too excited, just temping (when I remember and OPK'd for the last few days to confirm ovulation, which according to the sticks happened yesterday evening I think.

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 14:19

Good to see you again Trixie! Sounds like you are going through a tough time but IVF in June is exciting (and not far away) :) is that NHS IVF?

So sorry for your loss wharm Flowers fx for you that all goes well this time.

OP posts:
MaybeMrsMum2016 · 03/05/2015 14:24

Welcome Wharm! Fx for a better experience this time around!

Amy I don't think it's good patience this cycle, as I'm sure we didn't DTD enough up to ovulation and could well have missed the window. So more like no confidence that there is even a chance for us this time.

Miiss I'm impressed at your stamina! I'm sure I'd have had enough after such a long shagathon! FX for your BFP!

DizzyMerry · 03/05/2015 14:34

Trixie sorry you've had a difficult time recently but good to see you back. June is just around the corner so not long to go now. Things are moving in the right direction for you Flowers

Amy I never thought it would be so hard to conceive and to think I spent years trying to avoid it! We're spending the weekend with DB and his kids. Just as well I'm in the tww as I'd be exhausted!

Miis it's nice to have the spark after being together so long. You both sound lovely.

DizzyMerry · 03/05/2015 14:38

Welcome wharm. Sorry for your loss Flowers Hope you're journey here is short.

TrixieRay · 03/05/2015 15:26

Thanks Night and Merry Smile

Night, we are using savings and going private (very very lucky to be in a position to do so). Would have to wait until at least December for the NHS according to my GP. My GP has been really good actually, the private consultant had recommended a few blood tests just to rule out Raynauds related issues (think we 'spoke' about this on here at the time) and my GP agreed to do them- get the results next week.

Have just spent over an hour reading back and have caught up with the last two threads and just one more to go I think.

Chops/Victoria, hope you're still lurking, my heart was pounding in the lead up to your BFP?! OMG, absolutely delighted for you!! Congratulations!!

Sparkly, Tessie and Coffeenut, congratulations to you too Smile

Lucie, is there any update from you? Really hope that you had a lovely time in Prague and the IVF has been successful, have been sending positive thoughts your way.

Laura, sorry to see you leave the buses. Great news about your extended LP, like the others say, please pop on when you get your BFP.

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 15:31

Ooh Trixie let me know what the results say please :)

Will you be going abroad?

OP posts:
TeenieDeenie · 03/05/2015 16:08

Welcome wharm, I'm so sorry to hear about your ectopic. Another nervous passenger here, my first month back ttc after an mmc in dec. Really hope your time here is short. Smile X

Straight to a solid smiley today for me on my cb opk so DTD this afternoon and will again for next two days, try and catch that little egg! Seems a bit early for ov, my last cycles have been 43 and 37 days, but used to be 27 days, so expected it to be another few days yet but will keep testing and DTDing until tests back to negative.

Can't read back as I'm on my phone but totally agree with whoever said that they feel closer to their OH since ttc. Smile

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. X

TeenieDeenie · 03/05/2015 16:09

Night, thank you for adding me to the stats. X

TrixieRay · 03/05/2015 16:37

I definitely will Night! My GP says he is sure they will all be clear but will be good to know for sure. I tried to persuade DH to go abroad but he would rather stay here- boo! TBH I'm a bit of a nervous traveller so will be more relaxed staying here. How are you getting on? Sorry, my head is spinning a bit after my mammoth catch up.

Kind of wish I hadn't caught up completely as was uncomfortable reading! Still, things seem to be good now Smile

Wharm, so sorry to hear about your ectopic, FX for good news on the 16th- there was a lovely lady on here before who got her BFP at the beginning of April, she had had an ectopic pregnancy and lost a tube. When I was reading back I got to her BFP post and she wrote this;

'You might know this already, but I'm fairly sure someone else on here (who only had one functioning tube) was told by her consultant that if you only have one tube you should definitely try and dtd the day after ov - something about the tube taking longer to reach the egg in the event that you ov from the opposite site which means that typically conception occurs later so you want to make sure the sperm are as fresh as possible'

susurration · 03/05/2015 16:42

hi all,

Can I hop on the bus? we're TTC properly now, have spoken to doc about all my medication and we're go go go.

I haven't quite caught up on the thread and don't know anyone, so sorry for seeming a bit dim and all about me.

I think i'm starting to go towards OV-ing this week. Hopefully next weekend or early next week for us to dtd.

Off to try and catch up and learn a bit from the rest of the thread now.

parsnipbob · 03/05/2015 16:58

Welcome Su :)

Hi everyone else! Not caught up yet but hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday weekend?

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 17:04

Don't mean to boast but I have made it to 12dpo and not a single symptom spot so far!

OP posts:
parsnipbob · 03/05/2015 17:06

Well done night :) when will you test?

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 17:07

Welcome sus :)

Have you found a good clinic trixie? My understanding is an embroyoscope is a really useful thing to use with IVF!

Great news on the pos opk teenie, go for it! Grin

OP posts:
DizzyMerry · 03/05/2015 17:08

Welcome Su Smile hope you have a short journey.

That's excellent news nignt I have my fx crossed for you.

Well 8dpo and I started getting some cramps over an hour ago and have had some brown spotting. I'm really worried now as I've never had spotting before. Cramps have subsided now.

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 17:08

Not till next Saturday parsnip! Want to get past CD26 as that is the latest AF usually arrives although pretty sure this is a shorter cycle unless I have a very long lp :)

OP posts:
mumtoason87 · 03/05/2015 17:27

DTD CD21 p.m , ovulated sometime between CD23/24 . Cervix has hardened up now so just hoping that the one opportunity I got to DTD was enough.

nightandthelight · 03/05/2015 17:30

Definitely possible mum, especially if you had fertile CM at the time of dtd?

OP posts:
DizzyMerry · 03/05/2015 17:32

It is possible mum. You did what you could and hopefully it'll be enough to get your bfp.
