pog I got my OPKs from Amazon, just the cheap ones! We've been planning to TTC for a while so about a year ago I decided to get to know my cycles a bit better and used them for a few months along with temping. For some reason I've never been good at understanding my CM.

This my first as well bonkers, we're quite close in age too (I'm 29). God luck, I hope your journey is short!

Southy84 · 14/05/2015 09:12

Sorry for all the questions this morning... but DH had his SA on Monday this week. Had a message from our Dr saying can he call them, he called them and they said that they would schedule him in for a tel app with the Dr tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience of this? Does this sound normal process? Just a bit worried that's all.

Welcome bonkers Smile

nightandthelight · 14/05/2015 09:14

I'm no expert Southy but working in the NHS I would say that is normal. A telephone calls saves an appt and thus saves money! I would think that pulling you in for an appt would be more worrying, docs like to give bad news in person :)

miis congrats!! Smile fantastic news, see you didn't need those OPKs/temping after all haha Wink really really pleased and excited for you! Smile xx

southy as night says I'm sure it's just normal procedure, good luck I hope it goes well x

Yay for flashing smiley night!!

I had a temp rise today but need another couple of days for FF to confirm ovulation. Bit confused by my graph and I don't think I'll be able to pinpoint ovulation to a particular day, but if I see a general rise fx that means it's happened!

Southy84 · 14/05/2015 09:51

Thanks night and woolly I feel a bit more relaxed now! I'll update you on results when I know.

Fab news on the flashy smiley night Smile

I'm kinda excited by this temping now! Quite exciting to have my own graph Grin

DizzyMerry · 14/05/2015 10:55

Miis you're lovely and say the nicest things. I hope you have an uneventful pregnancy Flowers

CarrotVan · 14/05/2015 11:06

Thank you for all the good wishes ladies. Physically I feel like shit but emotionally I'm a bit better today. I could have done without getting home to my unnecessary antenatal pack and booking in appointment though.

I'll be very glad when the physical stuff is sorted. Really all I want to do is go to bed for a week but with a full time job, a 2 yo, builders in the house every day and a trip down south for a funeral on Sunday/Monday I'm not getting a lot of opportunity to rest up.

I'll be lurking mostly until I have new stats to give

Woolly84 · 14/05/2015 12:08

Look forward to seeing your chart southy! Grin

miis ah you're very sweet, yes do stick around, we'd love to know how you're getting on Smile

carrot that sounds tough, I hope you do get a bit of time at least to rest up. Hope the physical stuff is over soon too. Take care lovely xx

Carltonlives · 14/05/2015 12:19

carrot I'm so sorry. Please look after yourself :-(

miis any symptoms yet? How do you feel?

Welcome thisisbonkers! We are a very friendly bus don't worry!

Go for it night!

Fingers crossed everything is fine for your dh southy I think in most cases only doctors are allowed to give results for this sort of thing so I wouldn't take it as a sign to worry

DizzyMerry · 14/05/2015 12:25

Sorry southy I missed your post. With DH's SA results the Dr had to give them to him over the phone as there was percentages of motility and morphology involved so probably easier for a Dr to do this. His results were fine so try not to worry that this indicates a problem.

CarrotVan · 14/05/2015 12:26

This bus is lovely thisisbonkers

DizzyMerry · 14/05/2015 13:18

Hope you're taking care of yourself carrot. Try to rest whenever you can and I hope physically things start progressing and are over quickly. Nothing can be said to make it easier and you will never forget this but you are strong and you will get through it.

ZippyBoo · 14/05/2015 13:42

GP was useless. Didn't want to know I am 3 weeks late. I had a blood test last week and she will not retest.

Also half the fertility blood tests they said were normal when I rang for results had never even been done by the hospital.

Fed up doesn't even cover it.

pulpi · 14/05/2015 13:56

Oh gods, Zippy, that's utterly ridiculous! Can you register a complaint with an ombudsperson of some variety?

Pogmella · 14/05/2015 15:11

That's awful Zippy Can you try a different GP? X

ZippyBoo · 14/05/2015 16:13

I've made a formal complaint about the blood tests. I don't believe in people asking for compensation from the nhs as mistakes happen and doctors are only human. Also I think it's taking money from a brilliant but underfunded system. I do want answer to why I was informed they were all normal when they hadn't been done and also why they were not done.

As for no further blood test, I was half expecting this anyway. I think I would have cried if I tried to push it. I'll wait and see if AF comes next week when it would have been due again.I think it will come eventually.

Woolly84 · 14/05/2015 16:14

Jeez zippy that's ridiculous. How did she leave it then - any mention of a follow up or what you should do next?

Woolly84 · 14/05/2015 16:14

Sorry crossed posts x

loopylou1984 · 14/05/2015 17:19

Zippy - sorry to hear your gp was rubbish. Let us know what they respond to your complain with. Xx

autonomousplum · 14/05/2015 18:28

Hi guys. MIA I know.
carrot I am so terribly sorry about what happened. It sounds like you are dealing with it as well as can be under the circumstances. Be kind to yourself too, eh! 'Tis important.

parsnipbob · 14/05/2015 18:29

Zippy sorry to hear that, how annoying for you x
