The Rules of Bumsnet

You can shag, you can syringe, you can temp, you can OPK; as long as your aim is a BFP!

We're cliquey so fuck off. LPB will be annihilated.

pixa we'll miss you. But of course, you do what you need to do. We'll be here when you're ready to come back Flowers

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/04/2015 07:45

nomio that's reassuring that the cyst could be a one off. i don't know anything about this sort of thing but I wonder whether this is what has hindered you so far? Maybe once you've recovered you'll have a better chance at conceiving. Hope you're feeling a little better today Flowers

pixa sorry you're feeling fed up. We all feel like that way sometimes fucking hormones! I hope you're feeling more positive today Smile

dizzym how are you?

purdie, one more day until your appointment. I hope today isn't too bad for you. It's shit enough having a monthly AF/bfp limbo and the last thing you need on top of that is work limbo! You'll find your answer soon I'm sure and hats off to you if you decide take on the care of your mum. That is what you need, a job which actually matters, where you feel like you're making a difference to someone or something but that is compatible with your life too. I wouldn't give two shits about council IT systems either!

rainy sorry for AF. Flowers

pikz glad you're feeling better!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/04/2015 07:53

Oh pixa Sad we will miss you loads. I can totally understand though, I think we all need a break from thinking ttc now and then. Hope to see you back soon and fx for success in the meantime!

queen sorry you're fed up. These 35 days cycles properly suck don't they! Mine have reduced slightly in the last few months to an average of 33 days but that's still nearly a week more than most ladies, shit isn't it! There's not much you can do though if you're away for ov, try to make the most of the opportunity to have some respite from thinking about ttc. It's either that or cancel your trip unfortunately!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/04/2015 07:58

Well according to ff I'm officially in tww! 3dpo, got a solid line this morning after my temp sky rocketed. Broken thermometer maybe wasn't broken after all! Although I still don't get why my temps are so steady before ov, but who cares! I have an angry pube!! slightly regretting spending 16 quid on an analogue thermometer though

So this means I ov'd on cd21 and we did dtd that day. I'm satisfied we've done enough now so I can relax, even if I don't get a bfp I'm happy that we're at least shooting at the right target now!

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 08:11

Woke up with a water infection, at least I'm in the TWW and don't have to dtd!

Queenbee30 · 30/04/2015 08:11

Fx for you dizzy!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/04/2015 08:17

Ouch night! Water infection or symptom?!

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 08:19

So sorry to hear that you are leaving pixa :( take care of yourself and hope to see you on the grad bus soon!

Yay for ov and well timed dtd Dizzy!

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 08:21

Water infection :( I used to be prone to them but haven't had one since my wedding in 2013 (yep no wedding night for us, I spent it on the loo Sad) so had hoped they had gone away!

purdiepie · 30/04/2015 08:41

daisy, you've been having plenty of sex the last couple of days, yes? Don't wait to see the surge. The sperm needs to be in situ.

loopylou1984 · 30/04/2015 08:42

Will reply to everyone later when I have time to do it properly.

But Pixa, sorry you are feeling so low. Look forward to seeing you when you get back.

Oh Night, cystitis is the worst :(. Get yourself to the doctors for some antibiotics ASAP! Xx

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 08:45

Thanks Sammy :) I usually just take the Oasis Cystitis Relief and that deals with it, picked some up in Tesco this morning. Can't take any more time off work sick so can't go and see GP :(

loopylou1984 · 30/04/2015 08:55

We'll see how it goes, but you can always call the out of hours tonight after work. Drink tonnes of water, Xx

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 09:02

Will do :) am on my course this evening so not home till 10! Will see how I feel by then. Xx

spinningirl10 · 30/04/2015 09:35

Morning ??

Purdie, I thought the carer thing for your Mum was a good idea, bummer that you'd get that money taken from your HB. Hope the meeting tomorrow can help you decide the best way forward.

Sparkly, the pain sounds awful but I think your dh is right and its a symptom of your existing condition. Nice early scan for you tomorrow. I'll be keeping everything crossed. Hope
You're feeling a little better today.

Rainy, how are you today, any sign of af? Ah I've just seen this mornings update, I hate it when you get that af feeling.

Nomio, yay for AI, how did you find it?

Daisy, fx for lots of sex this weekend!

Pikz, fx soy works for you. I've read some good feedback from it.

Queen, fx May is your month.

Pixa, Ahh we'll miss you but I understand the need for a break. Please share your finished pallet furniture with us though.

Night, ouch, water infections are horrid. Hope it clears up soon.

Mummyofonesofar · 30/04/2015 09:44

Lovely Sparkly SCAN DAY TOMORROW!! Very excited for you, let us know how you get on.

Pikz I am so glad the anti virals are working!! You’ll be back to it soon enough.

Purdie good luck for your appointment with the job lady tomorrow, a job in a nursery sounds lovely for you – i hope she can sort it for you and get you out of where you are not happy.

DizzyN Yay for high temp and good timed DTD! Fx for you the tww goes by quickly for you.

Night water infection! How rubbish, you have been so poorly since TTC, you poor thing!

Lucie I hope you can hold off as long as possible for testing and managed to avoid the sticks this morning! Good luck x

Driving my new car around this week - I feel like such a grown up in it rather than my girly car that I had! Other than that - not much to update!

Anyone else I have missed, I hope you are all ok!

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 09:45

Yay for new car mummy :( Since TTC my sickness rate has gone through the roof! Really don't understand why, am taking all my vitamins!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/04/2015 09:57

I know you poor thing, lots of DTD can cause water infections so it is a bit of a catch 22 when TTC! I hope it clears up soon. Last time I had one a few months ago I got antibiotics which then gave me thrush as if it wasn't bad enough to begin with!!

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 10:12

That sucks mummy :(

Riceicle1 · 30/04/2015 10:57

SNap night I've had mine for a few days, i finally gave in and went to the doctors today.he gave me some antibiotics Sad I used to get them a lot when I was younger and I had an operation on my bladder which sorted things out, but I've had three in three months now, so I'm hoping I won't go back to the bad old days Sad
While I was at the docs I asked to get the ball rolling on the blood tests to see what was going on (it was a different doctor this time) he said he wouldn't send me for any, as I already had 4 children and looked at me like I was something on the bottom of his shoe. I was feeling pretty low with this uti and the thought of approaching cycle 8, and now I feel even worse. I said to him that I didn't expect any treatment, but I wanted to know if I was flogging a dead horse or not, and he just looked at me and shook his head.
I haven't posted for a few days because I'm on a downer and didn't want to bore you with me, me, me! But I have been lurking! Good luck tomorrow sparkly and I'm sorry you have been suffering Flowers
Keeping everything crossed for you lucie
purdie part time all the way! you deserve to spend time with nancy! when she is older and at school, you can think about full time. Enjoy her while you can, she would prefer to have you than dance lessons any day!
Sorry to everyone who is having a bad time Flowers

nightandthelight · 30/04/2015 11:10

Oh *rice! I am so sorry that you are unwell and for the attitude of your doctor! Do you have the money to go private (appreciate that money is probably tight with four children!)?

Riceicle1 · 30/04/2015 11:16

night I will look into private, but when I am feeling brighter I will go back to the surgery and see the female doctor that said she would do tests on me and see what she says (but the man is the head of the practice, so if he has said no then I don't hold out much hope) I do understand that nhs resources are limited, and of course childless couples must come first, but I don't want treatment, I just want to know (because of family history of very early menopause) if I am in with a chance of conceiving or not.

SunnyStriker · 30/04/2015 11:22

rice your doctor sounds like an arse. I have 3 children, the 3rd took a couple of years to conceive and I was practically laughed out of my drs surgery because I asked, not for treatment just for tests to see if everything was in working order. He basically told me I should be grateful for the children I already had, get over the need for another and move on!! Just because we have children are we not allowed to want more?? It was awful and I know because of that I will not speak to any hcps about ttc this time.

Mummyofonesofar · 30/04/2015 11:49

Why are they all so nasty ?! There is such thing as secondary infertility - which I am not saying anyone here has but concerns should be investigated!

DizzyMerry · 30/04/2015 12:07

Pixa it is completely understandable that you need to take the focus away from ttc. It's not an easy journey at all. Do whatever you need to do in order to restore the balance in your life. We'll be here when you want to come back and fx you have some good news for us.

Night poor you Flowers cystitis is pure misery. Hope the oasis helps but if not definitely get some advice.

Rice your doctor is a twat! How dare he behave like that towards you. It doesn't matter how many children you have, it will never take away the desire for another longed for child. I would try your female GP but if not can you challenge the decision? Surely they can offer you a blood test. Hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

Dizzy yay for well timed dtd. Fx for you. I'm fine and we decided to continue ttc as it's something to focus on. 5dpo but ovulated on cd13 and dtd cd13,14 and 15 so don't really fancy my chances this cycle!

Sparkly thinking of you Flowers
