The Rules of Bumsnet

You can shag, you can syringe, you can temp, you can OPK; as long as your aim is a BFP!

We're cliquey so fuck off. LPB will be annihilated.

Make sure you're on the ###Bumsnet Bumstats###

Charity shops can go fuck themselves. Robbing bastards.

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 18:42

Fab CVs can go fuck 'emselves, too.

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 18:43

Sorry, I'm being a crosspatch. I love you for your unwavering support and understanding. I'm going to shut my cakehole now.

spinningirl10 · 29/04/2015 18:53

Ah Purdie, sounds like you've had enough, are you definitely finishing tomorrow?

spinningirl10 · 29/04/2015 18:55

Woolly, sorry you've had a crap day. Hope your evenings better, chocolate may help or wineSmile

Dizzy, yay for temp rise.

Sparkly123 · 29/04/2015 19:02

Hi ladies I'm so sorry I haven't read anything and I mean- anything!! I promise I will soon I've just not been very well so haven't been catching up on the thread. I promise promise I will soon. I hope you are all ok Flowers

eskimoflo · 29/04/2015 19:08

Hi everyone, looking for more advice tonight, and I'm afraid I have only had time to skim read back through posts again and can't reply to everyone as I have a load of exams to mark, but I need to vent...

Basically, I think my hormones might be totally screwed. Sad After taking the progesterone pills and having my fake AF, I have POAS (OPK) for the last three days. I had blank circles on Monday and Tuesday (indicative of no LH surge), and today had a Fixed Smiley (which should indicate peak fertility). I am CD9 of my 'fake cycle' and I have my HyCoSy on Friday. Just don't know what's going on. I think I might be producing the LH surges and just not ovulating. Last time I took the pills, back in January, I had flashing smileys (starting to surge) from CD10-14 and the peak on CD15, but then no period, and then had EWCM some weeks after that, did an OPK and got a peak smiley. I do have blood tests in a couple of weeks, so maybe that will shed some light. Just so fed up.

Purdie Do what you think is best. Life is too short.

Nomio It must be a relief that it's not the over-stimulated ovary syndrome, but it's still a shock. Hope you're ok. Flowers

Sorry to everyone else. I hope I have some time in the next few days to catch up...

spinningirl10 · 29/04/2015 19:26

Sparkly, hope you're feeling better soon Thanks don't worry about not catching up.

Eskimo, sorry I don't have any advice. I can understand how fed up you must be though. Sending a hug Thanks

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 19:27

Eskimo, I said a while back I suspected you are not ovulating. That can be sorted out easy-peasy, love. Please don't look at yourself as broken. You can do this; the docs are on it. You are smart and tenacious and strong and you'll be no pushover when it comes to getting what your system needs to produce eggs. Here, have these Thanks they are thistles to shove up your fanny and to torture your ovaries with until they lob some oocytes out. Lazy showers of shit.

Spinning, I agree with the 'life is too short' mantra. If I was twenty-odd and considering a career or desperate to save up for a deposit for a house or my wedding I would probably stick it out. But I'm 43, renting (with no desire to own my own gaff), have no desire to climb the career ladder and simply want £6k to go and have more IVF. I have no desire to sit in front of a PC eating Jaffa cakes and moaning about the latest software migration hiccoughs. I mean, seriously..who gives a shiny shit? I have not a scintilla of concern that the Chief Executive of Corporate Toilets has a meeting in five minutes and he can't access the files containing his report on gypsy camp shitters. I honestly couldn't give less of a flying fuck about anyone's IT problems. Christians are being beheaded in Syria, know what I mean?

I'm going to look for part-time work in a nursery. Not the ones housing the snotty, neglected offspring of yummy mummies, no; the ones where I could waft around spraying hostas, twatting slugs and mulching astilbe Smile

eskimoflo · 29/04/2015 19:28

Thank you spinning It's gratefully received.

Sparkly Sorry to hear you're not well. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 19:30

Sparkly, I don't like it when you admit you've been feeling poorly. I don't like it one bit. What's happening, love? Are you in pain from your neuro-physiological issues? What's going on? Please don't feel you have to catch up with everything and everyone; it's tiring giving of yourself when you're already spent Thanks

eskimoflo · 29/04/2015 19:34

Thank you Purdie The thistles are lovely and I will really enjoy torturing my ovaries. Grin Reminds me of when I went in search of a florist for my wedding and we had an appointment with the florist who did the flowers for Jessica Ennis' wedding. The florist tried to persuade me to have thistles in my bouquet. I wasn't impressed. We didn't choose her... PS: Twas me what said 'Life's too short' Smile

One step at a time. HyCoSy first...

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/04/2015 19:39

nomio Eskimo sparkly purdey sammy and all Flowers all round for all having a difficult time or sick or confused. Big hugs to you all. Xxxxx

Pixa · 29/04/2015 19:39

Right, I have decided - I am not leaving my house until I am pregnant. I don't want to see or hear about anyone else's lovely babies or pregnancies. I am fed up that it's not happening for us; in the time we have started talking about babies, I have seen friends get with their partners, make babies and have babies. Well they can all sod off.

Pixa · 29/04/2015 19:40

Sparkly Please get better soon - we all miss you. Thanks

woodpigeon123 · 29/04/2015 19:43

@cremedecacao this was exactly me last week... ! 2 days off work (also reception teacher!)

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 19:44

Spinningjenny, no, I'm not deffo finishing tomorrow; I don't work Fridays, if you remember, and I will be meeting with my 'job coach' at the Benefits Agency and I want to know - to the penny - how much better off we would be as a family if I took this job at the end of the eight weeks. If it is only a few hundred pounds I won't be going in again after the bank holiday; if it's a nice juicy earner compared to what we get on benefits I will grudgingly stick it out.

But listen: I could be earning more than £240 per month by being my mum's carer. S'true dat. Invalid Care Allowance is paid to someone if a) the person being cared for is on the highest rate of Disability Living Allowance (my mum is already in receipt of DLA) and b) the carer (me) looks after the disabled person for more than 16 hours per week (I already do!) So, if it turns out the job only pays a few hundred more than we're currently getting I think I'll become my mum's official carer and get me a part-time job.

It doesn't feel right to me being away from a thirteen month-old baby full time.

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/04/2015 19:44

Oh my. Just been to the loo. Thought I'd missed my fertile window when sick but just found handfuls of EwCM. Like someone cracked half a dozen eggs. Confused.

nightandthelight · 29/04/2015 19:45

Get well soon Sparkly Flowers

Oh pixa I can 'hear' the utter devastation you are feeling. Please stay positive lovely, your body is just cooking up the perfect baby which will be so much better than all their babies :)

nightandthelight · 29/04/2015 19:47

Dtd Boris!

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/04/2015 19:48

*purdie sounds very wise. I don't know how you leave you beautiful girl to go to work. I get CBeebies and all is dull but she's gorgeous, and yours. I'd second you getting some part time work in a more social world. And careing for your mum for the dosh.

chopsface · 29/04/2015 19:48

Big hugs to everyone having a tough time at the moment Flowers

Glad someone took you seriously at last nomio and you're getting treatment. Get well soon x

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 19:49

Scrap that: being in receipt of Carer's Allowance means the same amount will be deducted from our Housing Benefit. Arse bandits.

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 20:02

Pixa, I will stop talking about my nipper. I don't see her as a cherub to tug at the heartstrings; she is an evil teething imp. In fact, I will swap her for your pallet furniture

Boris, is there any way you and DH can get down to the funky beat tonight? (Dh & I are 1 minute 42 seconds in.)

purdiepie · 29/04/2015 20:07

Awww, Boz, you're always so flattering about satan.
