The Rules of Bumsnet

You can shag, you can syringe, you can temp, you can OPK; as long as your aim is a BFP!

We're cliquey so fuck off. LPB will be annihilated.

Make sure you're on the ###Bumsnet Bumstats###

Sammy do you have the money for this procedure? If so, just do it. It can be a long old wait for bus ivf so you don't want to wait until August for the Hycosy. I think you've waited long enough my love.

Pug, I want to punch those arsewipes in the head.

Actually I have an irrepressible urge to twat everyone in the head today. Especially my stay at home husband. Get to work, twat! I want to be with my baby! But then again I get bored doing that too....Sad

purdiepie · 27/04/2015 17:19

*nhs ivf

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/04/2015 17:21

rice you're 6 days early? So what dpo does that make you? Have you completely ruled out an implantation bleed?

juney boo hiss at af. Let's all throw rotten tomatoes at her.

sparkly yes ov is a little late but my cycles fluctuate between 31-35 days, the one where I ov'd on cd20 was 33 days long so a day late isn't surprising. The thing that's bothering me is that up until now we've been stopping dtd'ing at cd18 so far too early......so this cycle is actually the first time we've done it actually around ov! Is this actually cycle 1 for me?! Do I reset and start again?! Lol.

sammy I have no idea what I would do in your shoes either but that's so positive that you have options to choose from Smile and at least you can carry on trying in the meantime as the Pressure will be off slightly. 48 year old! That's mental!

Friend who doesn't want a baby wasn't preggo thankfully! But she is now thinking about kids! I had to educate her on fertile windows and temping, I forget there's ladies out there who no nothing about the complexities of ttc!

ThePug · 27/04/2015 17:34

And I'm finally home.

Good points : waking up and it all being over, feeling absolutely fine and dandy straight away and still do (touch wood), no cramping, no cervix pain, bizarrely no bleeding thus far, getting to eat my chocolate & hazelnut croissant

Bad points : Getting injected in the bum, waiting around for probably at least 3 unnecessary hours when any old doctor could have just looked at my notes and come and seen me (which was what happened in the end), me having to remind them about the blood type/anti-D injection, the nurse who I hadn't seen before coming to the door to say they were ordering the anti-D injection but to get the right dose "how many weeks were you"
Me: What would I be now or when I started bleeding?
Nurse: When it ended
Me: Well I don't know when it ended, probably about 6.5 Nurse: And is it all gone now?
Me: I hope so but I haven't actually seen a doctor yet to tell me that Her: Walks off
DH: Jeez you were so rude then, just answer the questions
Me: Hmm

Hairstylisttoboris · 27/04/2015 17:41

thepug it sounds like you has a few crushingly unsensative moments there but I'm pleased you are home and ok. Take care. X

chopsface · 27/04/2015 17:48

Goodness pug what an ordeal. The nurse sounded really crap and unsympathetic and I can't believe they let you just sit around for 3 hours! Oh dear to dh blocking the loo.... I blocked the loo in our hotel on holiday, twice in 5 days, had to go and inform reception, twice, dh was so embarassed, twice Blush I digress... Do you have any time off work to recover? Take care of yourself lovely xx

Sorry to all the af arriving today. Fingers crossed for next month and 2016 babies!

Yokyil · 27/04/2015 17:48

night cycle 5 - with a mc in jan Confused So yep short 23 day cycle normally and seem to be Ov around cd10 so leaves me an lp of 13 days - makes sense that it doesn't give a whole lot of time for it to mature. Dunno what the next step should be
sparkly that's great that they're scanning a bit sooner, at least you don't have to wait another horrid 2 weeks

Yokyil · 27/04/2015 17:51

pug sorry for you getting an insensitive witch!!! The majority of them don't seen to have the sensitivity part of their brains switched on at all Sad rest up well at home and hope you start feeling better soon

loopylou1984 · 27/04/2015 18:04

Sparkly - yes whether we have the private HyCoSy or wait for the nhs one treatment will begin aid/sep.
It's £425 here too, I wouldn't say we could afford it easily, but we could manage.
I feel ok, at the time I couldn't get past the disappointment that there was such a wait for HyCoSy, but having had some time to think about it I feel more positive. This wait will be shorter than the one we just had!

Nomio - that's what I wondered. There must be women to cancel because they've fallen pg. I will ask when I call up.

Yes Woolly, I feel better knowing there's a plan.

Spinning - yes I'm tempted too. £425 is a lot of money though...

Purdie - yes I think we could manage it, but the nhs wait time for IVF is only 4 weeks at our local clinic, so I'm not sure it's worth it Hmm
I think I need to sleep on it before I decide... Although pretty sure Thursday will be cd1 so need to decide quickly!

Dizzy - I know, even the doctor seemed pretty shocked!

Pug - I'm glad it's all over and you're back home. Be thankful it was the hospitals toilet and not yours at home, at least you don't have to clean it! Xx

Queenbee30 · 27/04/2015 18:33

pug hope your DH is taking good care of you (and not blocking the shitter at home)

Move up juney and woolly...room for a little one on the red upholstered seats (are they wipe clean Confused?)

juneybean · 27/04/2015 18:36

Sorry queen :(

chopsface · 27/04/2015 18:40

Sammy sorry you've a wait for the his-cosy thingy. I could get one the next cycle. It involved me ringing them up on cd1 and then just being slotted in. I had a hsg though and it was a pretty fast procedure. I don't know what the difference is with the cosy.

Queenbee30 · 27/04/2015 18:42

Ewwwww I'm on a packed train and on the floor by my feet is a rank hair extension that's fallen off someone...bleurgh.

Woolly84 · 27/04/2015 18:43

Oh dear pug, hope you get some rest tonight Flowers

queen sorry to see you've joined us at the back Flowers

Woolly84 · 27/04/2015 18:45

queen eugh!!

DizzyMerry · 27/04/2015 18:46

Sorry to those who AF got. She seems to have been busy today Sad

Pug hope you can get some rest now that your ordeal is over.

Sammy pleased that you now have a plan in place. It is a lot of money to pay for the test and if the IVF wait is only 4 weeks then that's not too long a wait. In the meantime you can continue ttc and there's every chance of it happening naturally.

Yokyil · 27/04/2015 18:47

Sad juney woolly queen sorry af has reared her ugly head Wine

nightandthelight · 27/04/2015 18:47

Sorry for AF Rice and Juney Flowers

Sounds like the appt was pretty positive sammy although August seems a long way off. Sounds to me like you will get your BFP this year though!

Just heard back from the fertility clinic, they don't want to see me until after 12 months either (why don't they want my money?). They did say that I needed 2-3 months of data so will keep temping for a couple more months and if still ovulating early I will recontact them. Yokyil do you temp? If you do and can consistently show early ovulation a private clinic may be willing to see you (not sure if that's a possibility for you or not).

nightandthelight · 27/04/2015 18:48

Sorry for AF Queen :(

juneybean · 27/04/2015 18:51

That seems ridiculous night so many rules for different groups of people?!

OP posts:
nightandthelight · 27/04/2015 18:59

I just don't understand juney, surely the benefit of going private is being seen sooner than the NHS?

Hairstylisttoboris · 27/04/2015 19:01

Sorry queen for AF. Hope you get home ok. Was WLoo bad tonight?

nightinteresting that they want data before they'll treat you. Good thing you are temping (she says checking amazon for thermometers).

nightandthelight · 27/04/2015 19:03

Yay join the temping madness Boris :)

Queenbee30 · 27/04/2015 19:04

sammy great that there's a plan of action.

night I would have thought they'd happily take anyone who wants to pay them! But maybe this is really positive and they think you'll get your BFP v soon!

Queenbee30 · 27/04/2015 19:05

Boris was horrrrrible! On a very slow train now. How are you feeling?
