If so..you're in t'wrong place, cock, coz this 'ere is the TTC thread where you feel loved, embraced, encouraged, wanted, lusted after, admired, respected, thought-of with fondness, missed when you're away. We will even put up with your lazy, selfish bastard of a husband who would rather watch Chelsea romp through the Premiership than put a baby in your tum-tum.

Just refreshed the page becuase I am bored and was unsure why no one has posted in aaaaages then saw your update!!! Purdey congrats!!! You will astound them over the next 8 weeks and they will have to offer you paid employment so you can save up and fly out somewhere and get your BFP! So happy for you lovely.

Im still waiting for ebay to post my pearl maker - when I get those I will crack on. the other bits have been posted...I got my cookie cutters yesterday, (handbag, shoe, cocktail glass) so will make some cookies over the weekend after my transvag Saturday morn - least then I can have something to think about other than that. I am dreading it!

Can anyone please shed some light about what questions they may ask in the 1st consultation? x

The worst baby shower it went to was arranged by a friend for one of my closest friends and it was just a meal at TGI'S (at least that's what I thought) ... So I arrived with my little pressie, only to be pulled to one side and asked to cough up £60 because they had got a cake and decorations and thought we could split it! Angry the cake was a pregnant bump with a scan photo on it that was £90! I spent the whole baby shower being really grumpy! And thinking ( Catherine Tate style) what an f'ing liberty!

Your friend was well out of order rice. It makes for a very awkward and uncomfortable situation. I always cringe when I hear of baby showers. For some people it's just a need for attention. I wouldn't mind the ones night refers to, where it's just a nice meal enjoyed by family and friends.

I think the sentiment of getting together with your girlfriends before the baby is born just to catch up together and Enjoy a nice night or afternoon is understandable, I'm sure you don't get to do that too much once they baby arrives. But the whole actual baby "shower" I mean, basically.. Come along, make a fuss of me and bring me a gift? I can't get my head round that. It's just another fad started in America ain't it. However we could all rebel and have a Bumsnet pre baby meet somewhere in the UK and basically just get some twirls, quinoa, gin and nuts in! Ha ha Grin

Spinners Urgh rain! Not ideal! Well yesterday everything seemed to have tailed off then I had more bleeding again later in evening. When I rest it seems to slow and it's when I'm up and about it comes back. I think I could much better keep strong if I wasn't seeing the blood all the time! Again none overnight. Today a bit of brown spotting so far like yesterday afternoon
