Do you like feeling left out of a group? Do you enjoy being marginalised and isolated and picked-on? How about a good bullying? If so..you're in t'wrong place, cock, coz this 'ere is the TTC thread where you feel loved, embraced, encouraged, wanted, lusted after, admired, respected, thought-of with fondness, missed when you're away. We will even put up with your lazy, selfish bastard of a husband who would rather watch Chelsea romp through the Premiership than put a baby in your tum-tum.

Absolutely any old slag welcome, unless you already have a baby in your tum-tum and we're about as familiar with you as a condom. You can get lost Smile

My friend had a baby shower but not in the way that you mean I think. Basically it was her closest friends and family having a meal together and then mocktails. No expectation of gifts.

I've been to so many baby showers and had to organise some.

I refused a hen do and a baby shower. Hen do turned into a picnic at the park with all the kids and baby shower was a meal with 6 of my best friends and no gifts.

The one I organised I did afternoon tea and instead of expensive gifts or anything I suggested that people bought their favourite childhood book and then the baby would have a library. I banned all games

I hate baby showers. Seriously. I didn't have one. Lots of pressure too but I refused. Had to tell people rather aggressively too to not go organise a surprise one either as it was obvious they wanted to. When I go to baby showers which I usually try to get out mostly successfully I always give a book. That the baby can read when they are five or seven or something. Nothing babylike. Out of principle. climbs off soapbox

melon rubbish for work. We should be allowed additional mat leave when ttc, it's such an emotional and painful time. Can you access chocolate? Somehow that always helps me.

Lol Boris! It's cuz we were on holiday! Plus was trying to be a bit more chilled out! Will temp a couple more days to check the rise is maintained, but then will probably stop again until test time nears! Xx

Just realised all of DP's friends showered in our ensuite this morning (we don't have a shower in the main bathroom) and there's a stack of pregnancy tests and ovulation sticks on the side. Safe to say people now know we're trying to conceive Confused

Sparkly I feel asleep after posting. I should read that book every night! Seriously though it's a good book and I've picked up a lot of useful info so far. I also have 4 days worth of temps!
