So I just called a clinic (there's only two options for private care near me!) and a doctor phoned me back straight away which I thought was great. Until he told me that we should keep trying and that the NHS policy of three mc is fair and that I should def count the January one (even if the NHS don't..) he said there's an 80% chance of a health pregnancy after two mc. But he also said that there's only a tiny chance if they did investigate mc that they would find anything and it cost lots of money to do so. I told him it wasn't that I thought there was some sinister cause, it was just that I felt there was definitely a progesterone issue... His words were:
"No no progesterone doesn't matter, if you have a healthy embryo then the progesterone will increase, if not then it won't"...?!?! I said I thought I should take progesterone as a precaution given my levels at times and he said it wouldn't matter?!

So confused! Confused

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 15:50

Froggy wooo TWW here we go! Now go distract yourself! Ha ha Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/04/2015 16:01

Oh sparkly, so confusing. I don't have any wisdom but continuing to hold your hand. X

purdiepie · 14/04/2015 16:13

Victoria you are officially a statistic: stats show the majority of conceptions take place the day before ov! Smile

Diz, tests are so weird sometimes. A score of 17 is pretty problematic (sorry) but you have a DD to show it can happen! There are women, too, who get their take home baby with an AMH of 0.01. I do think more fertility issues than are recognised are to do with shit sperm. The tide is turning in the medical world regarding clinicians always assuming it is the woman who is having problems. If a man has great sperm I do think the majority of subfertile women will become pregnant. Victoria is a good example of a woman having to wait years because of her partner's shit sperm. That's why I evangelise about supplements for men - and why I consider them the most selfish of creatures if they keep 'forgetting' or complain.

purdiepie · 14/04/2015 16:15

Sparkly, my HPTs were positive for a fortnight after my mmc but that had gone to eleven weeks, so I can't advise about a very early loss and HcG levels. You are in for such a colossal surprise on Thurs if your HcG has trebled and I would not be in the least bit surprised if it had. I know you won't allow yourself those thoughts - but I also know this time is going so tragically slowly for you. MC limbo is the absolute pits. There are few things worse. I will not raise your hopes, but I'm praying so hard Thanks

purdiepie · 14/04/2015 16:19

Sparkly, what an utter cock that man is! Why does he think IVF clinics all over Europe and this country routinely make us take progesterone suppositories from our BFP until twelve weeks! Aaaaaaaaargh!!

Look at all the charts on FF where the woman has been prescribed progesterone from 1dpo. Aaaaaaaaargh!!

Angry
purdiepie · 14/04/2015 16:19

..and yes, I do know we're Europe. You get me drift..

purdiepie · 14/04/2015 16:31

Sparkly, I've contacted my friend again with all your details since yesterday. I have asked her outright: 'WHY won't anyone support Sparkly's TWW with progesterone??'

AFM, DH tried and tried during the baby's lunchtime nap of two hours to spunk in a cup. Couldn't do it. Will try later. He'd better come up with the goods as I'm ovulating today. Can you imagine? He said the thought of baby waking up was putting him off Hmm Plus, he reckons that it was all the more difficult because he had only done the last job 15 hours ago. Such a hard life being my DH Hmm

eskimolaura · 14/04/2015 16:44

I'm so sorry everyone- I am struggling to keep up with such a busy, busy bus, especially as I'm back at work now and have no access to MN during the day, but I jumped on quickly to say a massive congratulations to chops!!!!! Absolutely over the moon for you my lovely Star Star Star

to everyone else. Good luck to those ovulating- get them bums on pillows!

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 16:46

Purdie thanks my love. I hate to drag on about all this to you all! I want us to be upbeat and celebrate Vic's absolutely fantastic amazing news!! I usually like to look at the positive the outcome rather than focus on worst case scenario. But as my bleeding is quite frequent and red and occurred after the thick lining image was obtained, I feel I have to resign myself to the fact of mc. Thank you for being so lovely though. I guess miracles do happen but the facts seem to outweigh hope right now for me.

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 16:48

Purdie the man is a dick. And it has put me right off going near a consultant incase they too laugh me out the door! I don't get it? I don't get it AT ALL. It's everywhere- progesterone pessaries post transfer etc? I just don't understand!!

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 16:50

Purdie hope your dh comes up with the goods. He is super sperm! Surely he will come through!! You have lots up there already remember mrs!!! Have faith! Hope you are feeling less rubbish? Thanks so much for contacting your friend you lovely woman!!

spinningirl10 · 14/04/2015 17:06

Sparkly, I'm shocked at the Consultants phone call and responses to you. I hope Purdeys friend can shed some light on things. Could you call another clinic? I'm quietly keeping everything crossed that you have some good news on Thursday.

Purdey, fx your Dh can deliver the sperm later! And another interview later this week, I must have missed that. Is this for the same job you have already interviewed for?

Butterchunks · 14/04/2015 17:13

chops Congratulations! and happy birthday

Sparkly I hope you get some answers and help soon. In the meantime we are all here for you Flowers

hello everyone else, have some Cake. I hope you are all ok

loopylou1984 · 14/04/2015 17:30

Oh no Purds! Hope mr super sperm can perform later for you Smile

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 17:33

Spins kinda weird no? Turning away a prospective money maker too ha ha. I'm now unsure if that's how the other clinic will be too. I tried calling but no answer so have sent an email.

Buttery thanks my lovely. How are you doing??

DizzyMerry · 14/04/2015 17:37

Sparkly I hope you get to speak to someone competent enough to help you get to the bottom of this Flowers

Purdie my prog is 17 but not sure of AMH levels. Will ask my GP.

Sparkly123 · 14/04/2015 17:47

Dizzymerry I think Purds may be able to help you better with this but I was told at fertility Before that some clinics go with 20 showing ovulation and some with 30.. So 17 ain't far off 20 is it if they could boost you with clomid? Fingers crossed lovely

lucieloos · 14/04/2015 18:03

Thanks everyone!

Nomio we are using a clinic called Reprofit. They have been brilliant so far and I would highly recommend them. There is so much support available from the doctors and also a special forum on fertility friends as well as a secret facebook group full of ladies going over for treatment, waiting for treatment etc it's great.

www.reprofit.cz/en

Hi spinning, we are flying over on Friday so not long now! Will keep you posted.

Sparkly really sorry to hear about your bleeding. Big hugs to you x

Dizzy thank you will pop onto april bus. My gp tested my progesterone levels and said anything less than 30 indicated I hadn't ovulated that month so could be worth checking out.

DizzyMerry · 14/04/2015 18:10

Thanks sparkly and luci. I have read that sparkly and I'm hoping clomid will help I just need to get hold of it. Will be interesting to see how nomio gets on. I did get a smiley this month but as I said a while ago I start getting pre AF cramps and snotty discharge around 2 weeks before AF so now I'm sure it's linked to low prog.

spinningirl10 · 14/04/2015 18:46

Merry, pleased you're feeling brighter today. do you think you'll go for a private appointment?

Lucie, wow Friday, how exciting! Keeping everything crossed for youSmile

DizzyMerry · 14/04/2015 19:17

Spinning I have thought about going private but I'm just thinking whether it'd be best to save those funds in case we do need to go for IVF. I think nomio is in a similar situation so will be interesting to see how she gets on

spinningirl10 · 14/04/2015 19:23

Yes that's true Merry, it's not easy to decide what to do for the best but handy that Nomios going and you can see how she gets on.

DizzyMerry · 14/04/2015 19:26

It took a lot of dithering spinning because there's every chance the clomid could work and I won't need IVF. The worst thing is though we are owed money from a family member and if they would hand it back we wouldn't be in this position but it's been 6 years now!

chopsface · 14/04/2015 19:37

Hope you are feeling ok sparkly not sure what to make of your conversation with the consultant. As purds said they must dish out progesterone for a reason after ivf (and iui).

Thanks for the support guys. I guess I'll sneak off the ttc boards now reluctantly
