I've still got about a week to go before I can POAS. DH and I have been trying for about 5 months, but I have very irregular cycles so it's all really hard to judge. I usually go about 2 weeks between periods so following that, AF should be due to arrive before the end of this week. But I'm thinking that would be too early to test and am very impatient! I've also been taking agnus castus this month on the advice of a medical friend so I'm feeling tentatively hopeful. Anyone around who wants to wait it out with me and not read too much into every symptom and definitely not take a test every day this week?

browneyed - sorry to hear about bfn - maybe you just tested early? You're not out yet til af arrives!
finding - sorry the witch af arrived, it really is horrible, especially early like that. That happened to me last month and it really knocked me.
remember - good luck at gp tomorrow - what kind of tests have you had?
haquoi - how are you feeling now? Are you going to dtd tonight?
I'm worried I might wear dh out Blush, we've dtd the last 3 nights in a row and I've not yet got a peak fertility on the opk yet so I'm hoping it will be tomorrow otherwise he might go on strike!!

browneyedgirl86 · 29/04/2015 21:12

Thanks Haquoi it's just very hard, my sister in law has just announced she is pregnant and it's a complete accident and not what she needs right now. trying hard not to be bitter

Diamond I suppose I'm not out just yet but I don't have any hope now. Your post about dtd did make me laugh though! I think my DP was going to take strike action after this monh!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

haquoi123 · 29/04/2015 21:25

Oh I'm the Queen of bitter, I'm not sure anyone could out bitter me, so you're ok browneyed! I feel for you though, its hard when that happens. A younger friend of my sister's announced that she was pg (accident) a few days after DS died and then had a little boy. I'd like to move on and be ok with it, but I find it really hard. As in, I haven't and I'm not... :s luckily she doesn't live nearby. I hope you're alright.

I know what you mean, diamond about wearing DH out. I feel like apologising every time: ' 'scuse me love, but we need to have sex tonight! I think I might be fertile.' We chatted about it today - I said we needed to find a nice code word that made it seem like we were dtd for love, not purpose. He disagreed: 'No, you need to be very clear. You should say something like,' it's time, I need your man muck tonight!' '

You guys cheer me up btw, thank you :)

haquoi123 · 29/04/2015 21:29

Best of luck for tomorrow remember

diamondsparkles · 29/04/2015 21:42

It's so bloody hard when you hear announcements and I am always dreading hearing someone else is pregnant yet again when I'm not. A friend of mine had a baby a couple of months ago and now they're ttc again - it'll prob happen straightaway and I'm not sure how I'll cope as I was bitter that I was ttc when she was pregnant with the one she's just had never mind another one on the way!
Grin, I'm glad we can cheer each other up about wearing out our dh/dp brown and haquoi!! So it'll be strike action all round then?!! Am loving the idea of a nice code word but I'm afraid we're just as romantic in this house - I get 'do you need fertilising tonight?'!! Who said romance was dead?! Grin

Sleepingbunnies · 29/04/2015 22:02

Sorry Iv been quiet, been so tired!

Hope everyone is well :) fertile week although ovulation sticks are looking hopeful... DTD just in case Grin

browneyedgirl86 · 29/04/2015 22:06

I need your man muck tonight

I think I may need a new keyboard after I sprayed my tea all over it! That's so funny! My DP goes for the classy *Do you need my swimmers tonight?"

Don't think a code word would work very well here either, I've always found being subtle is wasted on my DP!

I think my DP would be leading the strike action, cheeky bugger said he was looking forward to night shift to get some rest! He's joking (I hope!)

Birth announcements are always hard when ttc, I like my sil and I'm happy for her, she's doesn't know we are trying but I can't pretend it doesn't hurt a tiny bit. It's hard to comfort someone who's devastated over something I may not have.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that Haquoi

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 08:27

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has taken romance out of the equation! Before we conceived DS, DH and I wanted to just have sex and not check ovulation, or make it stressy. We conceived first cycle. Now that just feels like a dream, a naive dream that we could have been so lucky and unstressed, and a blip. I've decided I'm never using contraception again - I'm having my children whenever and I don't want to think about it! Certainly not enjoying this journey (apart from you all) and looking forward to it being over. (very aware that I'll probably change my mind)

Yes that's really hard browneyed. I'm not sure i could be there for someone,it's good that you're trying. But be good to yourself and open with how much you can/want to comfort.

Hello sleeping, nice to hear from you again! :)

diamond any luck on the opk?

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 08:51

Morning!
haquoi yes it's good to hear it's not just us that don't do the romance bit! I know, was so naive in the past - all those years on the pill were for nothing! I'm never using contraception again either.
Second flashing smiley here today, I'm very confused - it's CD15 so I'm not sure if I'll even get a peak fertility tomorrow- poor dh - that'll mean at least another 3 nights of dtd!! Did you get your man muck last night?!
sleeping - hope you're making most of fertile week!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 09:06

What does a flashing smiley face mean? And yes, my man mucked well last night :) x

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 09:33

Good to hear Grin!!
A flashing smiley means high fertility but not peak, you should get 2 days of flashing then the fixed smiley which is peak (apparently anyway). But last month I got no flashing but a fixed smiley - so totally confusing!! So dh is not off the hook for a few nights yet Shock!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 09:46

It all sounds positive Diamond!

How are we all this Morning?

I'm now on Day 5. Still no sign of AF! Only thing I feel right is very tired and a bit sick. But that could be either or. I would rather know for certain. I'm supposed to be going to a show jumping event tonight and I would rather not ride if I am pregnant!
Can tests be wrong?

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 10:21

Yes tests can be wrong, I wouldn't ride until you know for certain. Try a superdrug own brand test, they're the most sensitive (got me my chemical pregnancy)

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 11:41

Are they really? I didn't know that. I got a Boots own brand one yesterday that said bfn. Still have one so I can retest in a few days.

Not going to ride tonight, going to take my horse down and let another woman at my yard ride him, it's not a major event and he needs the exercise!

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 11:58

(pretty cool about the horses though :) ) yeah, I was 10 days late once with bfns and so researched the best pg tests - superdrug comes out tops!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 12:03

Ah that's good to know thanks haquoi

If nothing has changed by the weekend I shall buy one. I'm a total novice at this. Not normally this late so buying tests isn't something I'm used too!

diamondsparkles · 30/04/2015 13:16

brown that sounds very promising - I agree with haquoi- the superdrug ones are the most sensitive- go and get one!
I've just been in a very boring work meeting - and my mind was of course wandering to ttc - I'm so sad but I was wondering whether I would actually ovulate soon etc etc Smile, good job people can't read minds!!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 14:17

Is that Superdrug digital ones? Does that even exist? I've heard people saying digital ones aren't as accurate but I have no idea if that's right.

Diamond It's not sad, it's normal! As long as you smile and nod in all the right places. This ttc business takes over your life!

I'm at work at the moment which is a good distraction.

Sleepingbunnies · 30/04/2015 15:37

So 4lb loss last week and Iv been so good and for what? I'm back to 4lbs on again. Don't know why I bother. Ready to give up on it all :(

Rememberallball · 30/04/2015 16:01

Afternoon all. Nearing the end of another week and the start of cycle 2 opks tomorrow!!

Diamond I had "all the usual" blood tests done because AF hadn't made an appearance sincenot having depo in September when DP and I decided to ttc. As I'm over 40 I only had to be ttc for 6 months before starting the road to investigating why things weren't happening. As luck would have it AF arrived exactly a week after the bloods were done so all tests are lp in my cycle but there was no +ve opk in March.

I had the physical results back and all were normal for that stage of my cycle except for testosterone level which was low and, consequently, they couldn't calculate my androgen free index. No idea what that actually means until I see gp. Unfortunately that isn't now today as my GP has been called away to an emergency so cancelled afternoon surgery. I'm booked in to see him tomorrow morning after a hospital appointment so will find out then what the plan is.

MrsV2012 · 30/04/2015 16:18

Hi, I'm day 7 of 2ww, have been TTC for 18months now..can I join you all please?!

browneyedgirl86 · 30/04/2015 16:42

Sorry to hear your appointment was cancelled rememberalll

Good luck with the appointment tomorrow!

Hi mrsV how are you? I'm past my 2ww although AF is still missing, wish it would hurry up and arrive so I can move on to cycle 7 or I get a bfp but I'm not so sure!

Hope your feeling better sleepingbunnies

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 17:25

sleeping don't give up! Weight goes on and off, take it slow, something you can keep going in the longterm. My mum walks for ten mins every day and had lost a stone just doing that. You've been doing great :)

Hi Mrsv, nice of you to join us! I'm not quite in the 2ww yet, possibly another week to go if my body gets off its arse and starts ovulating. How're you holding up with it?

haquoi123 · 30/04/2015 18:05

Good luck for tomorrow remember x

findingmyfeet12 · 30/04/2015 19:18

Evening all,

Just been catching up with your posts. I've never considered chatting online about this but this is really keeping me upbeat. Otherwise I'd just be chatting to DH about it non-stop which would drive us both mad.

Update here is that I'm taking clomid for the first time tonight. I thought it was 50mg but it's actually 100mg (doh). I'm feeling pretty positive with the only drawback being the prospect of undesirable side effects.
