Thank you ladies. You've made me both laugh and cry in one go! I like the plan of making him think he is happy and happy because he is with me. eskimo I laughed at hand shandies! I don't think he does, he runs marathons and I think that expels any frustration! I a horrible way it helps to know that it's not just us in this dry spell! We are not freaks and that marriages can survive!

Pikz · 07/04/2015 11:50

Have given up on this month. No peak opk and no idea what's going on. Shall just keep on dtd every other day and await af appearing sometime somewhere.

Maybe it's my bodies way of telling me what I will have to bite the bullet and pay to see the consultant and get clomid

eskimolaura · 07/04/2015 11:52

Of course they can! It's not ideal, but sometimes it just goes that way, doesn't it? We will get back on the horse and it will be fine. My DH is a personal trainer, works unsociable hours and weightlifts. I am trying to hold off DTD until all of these flippin' tests are out the way and we can get back to just the two of us, possibly with a little medical intervention. Until then, I can't seem to get my head around just 'making love' for the fun of it. As far as I'm concerned, my body has gone into 'snooze' mode and that makes me feel a bit broken. Maybe a good shag is what I need, but my head is full of dates and stuff at the moment- i.e. take the prog pill for 10 days, wait 5 days, bleed, call the clinic, have the hsg etc. etc. etc. As soon as that's out of the way, I will get my head around getting back on track with the sexy fun time Hmm

Hairstylisttoboris · 07/04/2015 11:57

pikz oh that's tough. I had a random cycle in January that I just wrote off in the end. Are you unusually stressed or tired it anything otherwise different?

eskimo I don't envy you the dates and the planning. Nothing about that sounds fun or sexy. Keep your eye on the end game!

Nomio230 · 07/04/2015 12:08

Boris, your marriage can absolutely survive. TTC is incredibly stressful for both sexes. Us girls are just desperate to get as many sperms up there as possible & the guys know that if they fail to produce the goods, we will lose our chance for the month. It is horrible and un-sexy.

I think the key is to have non TTC sex, even if you don't feel like it. I often find once we get started I get really into it. Also, as Purdie says, give him blow jobs, massages etc. It will reassure DH that you want him, not just a sperm donor!

Melon, I feel so sorry for you. I really hope you get either a BFP or AF soon. At least then you won't be in limbo.

Sparkly/Spinning, you are getting to the exciting end of the month! Fx for those Christmas babies!

Pixa, you are not out yet. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Purdie, I agree with the coffee suggestion. I only ever drink weak lattes, but they often make me need to go plop. If you have a strong black coffee, I reckon it would do the job.

Sparkly123 · 07/04/2015 12:13

9dpo here. Thought in my head for some reason that I wouldn't get the brown spotting this cycle maybe the HSG miracle and all. Surprise! Just went to loo and had brown cm on the toilet paper, nooooo!!!!!! My chart attached.

Trying to get a GP appointment, near impossible. Frustrating thing is I'm surrounded by GPs at work, but I cant be seen as a patient. Grrr.

Good luck for this afternoon purdey

victoria401 · 07/04/2015 13:15

bozzer I feel your pain. Dh doesn't want sex any time of the month and doesn't do 'hand shandies' either to keep his fellas refreshed. I feel like I'm asking too much for EOD for a week and this month we only dtd twice full stop as I ovd early! Hope things improve for both of us but we need to be proactive, and so have they!

Eskimo of course you need to take your dogs! Have you tried dogs trust holiday cottages? Yes some say 1 or 2 small dogs but it might be worth asking? My mil called up a place last year saying can I bring our 3 aging Labradors and they said yes no problem.

Sorry for those who af got and its not over yet spinning , sparkly , tessie and other cycle buddies! I usually get 'looming symptoms' 11dpo so maybe tomorrow. Got excited earlier as I had a bit of 'watery mouth' nausea type thing, but I was probably just hungry...

victoria401 · 07/04/2015 13:24

Changed my mind... I do have a 'heavy' feeling now.... :-(

Rainy34 · 07/04/2015 13:43

Hi everyone just quickly popping on will properly post later, had a bit of a heart to heart with hubbie last night and he has decided he wants to take vitamins to help, this is a huge step forward , we looked at pushchairs online and both decided we liked one , he wants to order it and put it in the loft for when we get pregnant I said I think that is tempting fate and not too, we went to visit our friends yesterday and I think it really got to him that it's taking some time, I felt really sorry for him , think we forget that the men suffer too

tessiegirl · 07/04/2015 14:13

Fantastic that your DH wants to take vitamins Rainy...I can't even look at pushchairs or anything baby related...yet Smile

Oh no to brown spotting Sparkly!!! Bugger off!! (Not you obviously!)

Purdey is Tessindra me?!!! Grin Been to ah ahs yet?!

I laughed at 'hand shandies' too!

I can absolutely understand how you would want your dogs with you at Christmas eskimo. It tears my heart out when we have to leave our fur baby at the pet hotel here. Have you been on Tripadvisor? That allows you to search with specifics so 'allows pets' option should be on there for places to stay?

tessiegirl · 07/04/2015 14:18

Just have to post this as excited but totally non ttc related!!! Spinning, you will appreciate this - just had an email from the owners of Chavenage House (the house used for filming the home of the Poldarks in TV series) and we can have a guided tour when we have our mini break up that way in May!!! Grin Now, if only Ross could be there.... Wink

Sparkly123 · 07/04/2015 14:39

Ha ha Tessie I feel your excitement!!! Yes I'm not happy with the brown spotting now. Rubbish. Trying to keep my spirits up but the moment I see it every month I think that's me out!

Rainy great news about the vitamins lovely! Brilliant. I feel the same re buying or looking at anything baby related! Not until I'm actually preggers!

Vic Urgh for heavy feeling Easter Angry but you never know. And iui is on the horizon if necessary! Flowers

mrsb frustrating being around gps but can't get an app!! Ironic. Poor you Flowers

Purds luck with the app Star hope you have had a good clear out by now Easter Hmm

Grin hand shandy!
sparkley implantation dip spotting? Brown because it just wants you to see a familiar face mucous in your pants? desperation

Sparkly123 · 07/04/2015 16:37

aux ha ha thanks. desperation is right! I had brown spotting before I got my BFP in jan but obviously that ended so I'm not really confident. Who knows. I don't want to give up hope at this stage as I've done really well this TWW so far but I don't want to be unrealistic either! We shall see...!!!

auxiliaryauroch · 07/04/2015 16:39

sparkley yes. I'm still on the fence about soy after being dead set this morning! Aaaa-aargh! Will update either way.
purds I'm not sure but I think it keeps both down. doesn't really push oestrogen because many bfeeders don't ovulate or produce eggs at all and you need tons of oestrogen for that. And I think definitely I'm not producing enough progesterone after ov at all. I did want to try some otc prog cream after ov as I've heard that can help but tbh that scares me more than soy! I don't really believe in natural remedies much, which is why I think medicine aka prog cream is a more dramatic step than semi homeopathic rubbish natural remedies.
I may stand corrected if I do take the soy and it brings my ov forward from cd25 to something reasonable within what is otherwise a standard 30 or so day cycle, and therefore automatically increases my lp.

auxiliaryauroch · 07/04/2015 16:40

Why does my phone insist on adding an E to sparkly? Hmm

Hairstylisttoboris · 07/04/2015 17:32

purds how's it going? Hope all ok? X

mrsb0710 · 07/04/2015 18:35

Hope the bum cam went ok purds

sparkly Sad to spotting. Still fx that it doesn't mean AF is on her way.

Feeling a bit brighter today, finally got a GP appointment, next week. Going to ask about spotting, heavy, clotty periods, and the discomfort. What should I ask for??

Hope it was sunny today for you ladies.

spinningirl10 · 07/04/2015 18:56

Goodness you've been chatty today, off to catch upSmile

Don't give up hope yet, Sparkly. If you have spotting the month of your BFP, then it is clearly not a problem.

Glad you have got an appointment Mrsb. I don't know what they can give you. I have had the same problems & was basically told to take painkillers. Normally they would suggest the pill or a coil, but obviously with TTC, they are out.

Purds, how was bum cam? I hope you are not feeling too sore & that they got some useful results from it. I had to have a camera down my throat to look at my stomach before. It was the most horrible thing ever. I was gagging like crazy & they had to keep wiggling it around. Eugh!

Victoria, I really hope stupid AF doesn't show up.

I am not feeling well today. Had an upset tummy since yesterday & I just feel absolutely drained. DH thinks it is a sign, bless him. At 4DPO, I am not letting myself think that, or I will go crazy!

butter I refuse to temp as 2 months of OPKS sent me crazy enough. Never did get a bloody positive! Ovia's slightly arsey home page message basically says 'you're a lost cause, come back when your period is here weirdo'

spinningirl10 · 07/04/2015 19:28

Sammy, lovely to see you, hope you're having a wonderful holiday and all the lovely French food!

Eskimo, I hadn't seen Aidan Turner in anything else. Really must watch the Hobbit and Lord of The Rings. I hope you can find somewhere to go with your dogs, I can understand you not wanting to leave them at home.

Dizzy, my dp loves the Godfather, he keeps saying we must watch them together. When we were in San Francisco he saw the building where they were written, he was very excited! Your Easter Sunday sounds lovely after those awful night shifts.
Sorry af arrived for you, onwards and upwards to next cycle and ovSmile

Glittery, fx af doesn't show up. Have you any other symptoms apart from sore boobs?

Hair, sorry you're feeling down. Ttc puts so much pressure on us as couples. I think twice at the weekend was good. We're trying AI next cycle, before Xmas dp was dead against it but he hates forced sex and is all for it now, I'm quite excited to try something new and hoping it will return our sex life to normal Wink
I also agree with Purdeys comments, men definitely need their egos stroking......why is this? Women are not like this, they just crack on!!

Tessie, let's hope af stays away for both of us. Ooh a visit to the Poldark home, how exciting. It looks beautiful on tv, as you say though, shame Ross won't be there.......maybe you could email him and see if he'd put in a cameo appearance Smile

Sparkly, ooh yes OBEM, I'd forgotten that, thank youSmile oh no, brown spottingHmm I'm keeping fx that this is implantation and not a sign of af.

Melon, what is going on with your af? Have you taken any new supplements this cycle?

Haha hand shandies GrinGrin

Pikz, sorry you haven't ov'd. Dtd eod sounds positive. Will you see a consultant after this cycle?

Victoria, hang in there, I hate that type of heavy belly!

Ah Rainy, that's really sweet that your dh is getting excited about pushchairsSmile

And lastly, Purdey, where are you? Really hope the bum cam went ok and you able to empty out before hand!

It's been beautiful here again today. We went for brekkie with dp and then had a walk along the beach. I did a bit more decorating this aft and then ds and I took his remote controlled car out for a cliff top walkSmile
