No idea mummy as wasn't tracking anything this cycle! My normal range of AF has me due anytime between today and Monday (tend to be earlier rather than later so more like today till Sunday).

Mummyofonesofar · 09/04/2015 09:42

Victoria I am not sure about moving back - we kicked up a fuss about us sticking together and not joining that bus - not to skulk back seems weird. Plus they like their slower moving bus, once us lot jump on they won't be able to keep up and support eachother so well.

I have just written down the list of supps from the article, for anyone without the time to read through the whole article....

For her
evening primrose oil - high strength until ov only
800mcg folic acid
Co-enzyme Q10 70mg (without vit E)
200ug selenium
500-1000mg Cit C
15mg Zinc
14mg Iron
1 x vit B complex
50mg vit B6
Pregnacare conception
3 x 500mg Royal Jelly
500mg Bee Propolis
500mg L-Arginine
(normal dose?) Alpha Lipoic Acid
Fish oil tablet - NOT COD LIVER

For Him
1.4-50mg Vit B6
15mg Zinc
1.5mg Vit B12
Co-enzyme Q10 70mg
3 x 500mg Royal Jelly
500mg Bee Propolis
500mg L-Arginine

I will pop onto hollands or asdas or somewhere later to add up the costs!!

victoria401 · 09/04/2015 09:55

Surely if they are taking pregnacare conception, most of the vits are in there anyway? The way I see it, people get preg without taking any vits at all. My friends was drinking coffee and booze whilst ttc and didn't even know when she ovulated or how long her cycles were (!) and her hubby is a massive smoker. They have 3 kids together and he has one from a previous relationship. But yes I have put dh on Wellman and I take folic acid only. Wellman has zinc, coQ10 and L-arg in it. I was taking iron but the fertility nurse said not to, so I stopped.

Mummyofonesofar · 09/04/2015 10:00

Ok added it all up - 3 months ish supply on H&B for both of you - £137!!!!

tessiegirl · 09/04/2015 10:00

Morning all!! Bugger it! I got a temp drop this morning Angry Fuck it.

Sorry Blush

Purdey thank you so much for the supps list. Can I ask what magnesium is supposed to do?

Mummy you little Star making a list of the supps from article! I also wanted to say to you that they advise if you take B6 you should also take complete B complex to balance out the B vits...

Nomio sorry about the house, any more news on it?

Spinning enjoy your day on the moors!! Have you found the envelope?!

I desperately wish I could hide under the duvet today but have to clean the house Sad and have a load of ironing. Why do I always leave ironing to mount up? Will I never learn?!!

nightandthelight · 09/04/2015 10:02

That's twice the recommended amount of folic acid! Surely that's not right?

tessiegirl · 09/04/2015 10:03

Have been meaning to ask this for ages - does anyone know if EPO with added vit E is ok?! Smile

nightandthelight · 09/04/2015 10:03

At that price may wait a little before investing mummy! Thanks for working out though :) DH is on Wellman conception, l'arginine and Brazil nuts already.

victoria401 · 09/04/2015 10:04

Sorry for temp drop tessie Sad I think magnesium is good for your joints? Maybe it helps you get into dtd positions better Grin!!!!

Mummyofonesofar · 09/04/2015 10:05

Tt says 2 x 400mcg PLUS the pregnacare conception vits which will have more in.

Tessie you're welcome - I popped on the list 1 x vit B complex - but don't have any dosage info on it!

I added too much Royal Jelly - it is more like £120 - without the B6 vit because I couldn't find it on H&B. Must be cheaper elsewhere though.

Mummyofonesofar · 09/04/2015 10:06

tessie and very sorry for the temp drop Flowers

nightandthelight · 09/04/2015 10:10

Wow that is a lot mummy!

Sorry about temp drop tessie :(

tessiegirl · 09/04/2015 10:20

Haha! victoria!

I saw you had added B complex after I posted and I had already read through your list twice Mummy Clearly, I need to visit the optician when I am home Confused

Thanks everyone. I could have thrown the thermometer across the room this morning. I haven't had any spotting this month as I normally do so I think I had got my hopes up a little Sad Shall now wait for the tide of doom....

spinningirl10 · 09/04/2015 10:20

The vits are a lot and tbh for the younger ladies here who are new to ttc I would stick with the folic acid. Some of us need an extra boost, especially Purdey and I as we're old! I spent a fortune on vits for dp after his SA but as he said its cheaper than IVF if they work!

And no sign of my letter!

tessiegirl · 09/04/2015 10:26

The mystery of the missing letter continues....

DH surprised me the other day as he has emailed the SA clinic (off his own back) to see if he can get another appointment for another test when we are back in the UK...bless him. I was proud... Grin

purdiepie · 09/04/2015 10:34

Ibeka: Coenzyme Q10

purdiepie · 09/04/2015 10:42

Nomio, yours and DH's cocktail of supps is brilliant, but please stock up on Q10 for yourself. Minimum 300mg per day. This enzyme is created naturally by our bodies but depletes rapidly with age. It works primarily on cell health (mitochondria) and is the reason our oocytes become rubbish. I would stick my neck out and say it is the most important supp to take (men or women) especially if over 35.

Mummyofonesofar · 09/04/2015 10:49

tessie that is good, bless him booking that in!!

Purds & spinnin So I am not to rush out and buy vits then? I am on seven seas which is folic acid 400ug, vit D 5ug, vit B6 1.4ug, vit B12 1.5ug, Biotin 50ug, iron 14mg, zinc 10mg, selenium 55ug.

ibeka · 09/04/2015 10:50

Thanks, purdey. I'm currently just taking folic acid but may add q10. DP wants something (I think he gets jealous of my pill popping and feels he should be doing something - that said he laughs out loud when I suggest drinking less...) so I may buy him some well an conception.

Why is cod liver oil a no no on mummy's list?

nightandthelight · 09/04/2015 10:52

Full of vitamin A ibeka which is dangerous when pregnant :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/04/2015 10:53

Any one watching This Morning right now?

purdiepie · 09/04/2015 11:04

Frog, no judging here, either. The older I get the more I realise I want to be among people who have a commonality; a reason to be together that is also healthy and creative and intellectually stimulating. I'm joining our local gardening society on the 21st of this month and I'm really looking forward to it. I found the info in this year's 'What's On In Chorley' for 2015 (answer: jack shit).

Sparkly, the B vits are enormously important for TTC. The way I see it - and I know you'll take this in the way it is meant - when you are pregnant you will be faced with massive and tough challenges, so you may as well meet this particular challenge head-on, too. You need those vits, love. Go get them jabs. Please. No more jibber-jabber - just jabs. Not jabber. Jabs.

purdiepie · 09/04/2015 11:09

My advice to anyone thinking of testing is to wait until your longest cycle length has been and gone. Forget about DPOs...none of us can ever be sure how many of those bastards we are anyway! Hmm

Sparkly, what's your usual cycle length, please? I like your temps this month...you excited? You sure you didn't ov later?

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/04/2015 11:14

Ok so there was a young couple on This Morning earlier.

Girl got rushed to hospital feeling unwell and they thought she had appendicitis. She went to the loo and gave birth to a baby boy. Had been on the pill for the previous 9 months with monthly withdrawal bleeds, obviously hadn't been trying for a baby, never had a bump or any symptoms until she was ill with the 'appendicitis'!!! Shock

Baby is fine but has been on an incubator since birth as they don't know how old he is, poor thing.

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/04/2015 11:16

You can bet your bottom dollar, if that couple had been 'trying' she'd be on here by now asking for charting advice and which vitamins she should be taking Hmm
