Victoria, I get the impression you are the same as me. You go through the motions & keep hoping, but after all these years don't genuinely expect to get pregnant without help. We will get there eventually.

Mummy, it would be a good idea to DTD later. Apparently you should clear out all the old sperm before ovulation time, so you get lots of new healthy ones when you need them.

I keep trying to ring the Drs to see if they have our notes through yet, but can't get any answer. I need to get back on the IVF waiting list or I am going to go crazy!

juneybean · 08/04/2015 15:37

It's mine and my mums word but it's apt

Mummyofonesofar · 08/04/2015 15:44

I love twerly - I stole it 'cause I love it!

Nomio I will give him that excuse of needing to clear them out - we did clear them out Saturday and Sunday night too but another go will help!

juneybean · 08/04/2015 15:47

It's become one of our many thread words!

Have you ever had any tests, Butter?

I got throught to the receptionist. They still don't have my notes yet, but are going to chase them tomorrow.

auxiliaryauroch · 08/04/2015 16:11

I've renamed my af twerly.

Butterchunks · 08/04/2015 16:37

Nomio Hows everything with you today? Apologies if I've missed something, what's with the chasing of medical records? Are you getting some TTC help?

No, I've not had any tests specific to fertility. I only started TTC in Dec 14 so I doubt any GP would look twice at me yet. I've had general blood tests recently and everything (e.g. thyroid, iron levels etc) was generally fine. I don't really have anything to suggest that something is wrong except not getting knocked up within minutes of exposure to manjuice; some variable cycle lengths (last 18 cycles between 27-33 days, last month 38 days), every other cycles seems to be "off", either shorter or longer and maybe af lighter. I guess my concern is based on the theory that ovulation switches sides (generally speaking) and I'm wondering if one of my ovaries is failing/ a bit PCOS-y.

I think I'm just a bit of a worrier, and I would rather know if there was a problem. I guess if I had a full fertility MOT tomorrow and they said everything was favourable I would still worry about why it wasn't happening. Its still really early days so I'm just being impatient.

Nomio230 · 08/04/2015 16:51

Hi Butter, for some reason I thought you had been trying longer than that. I am sure you will be knocked up in no time!

Because DH and I have been trying for so long, we had been referred for IVF, but recently moved house, so have had to change doctors. I was told that they couldn't refer me in my new area until they had my notes from the old surgery as they need to see all our results so far.

It has now been two months. Angry

MelonMelon · 08/04/2015 16:52

Sparkly and everyone else thanks for being so nice today. Have found it hard seeing some of the bfp today

My GP recommended going on the pill......Hmm

Nomio230 · 08/04/2015 17:11

Do they know you are TTC, Melon? If so, that seems a bit dumb!

MelonMelon · 08/04/2015 17:16

Yes even he said "but you probably don't want to do that....."

Grrr!

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/04/2015 17:18

nomio my new gp got my notes from my old GP in less than 2 weeks (we also just moved). Hope yours get sorted quickly, it shouldn't take this long. Can you get all Rambo on their asses about it (to quote Dr Purdey)?

melon it's hard seeing other peoples BFPs isn't it? I don't mind if it's people I've known on these buses when you know a bit about their journeys but the unknown ones or facebook baby bombs are tough. Hang in there.

tessiegirl · 08/04/2015 17:22

Sometimes going on the pill can even things out a bit I think, but still....how long would you have to go on the pill for?!

MelonMelon · 08/04/2015 17:28

I'm not going back on it , was on for 11 years and took 4 months for my periods to come back once I came off. Will just have to wait and see I suppose Sad

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/04/2015 17:31

melon there must be other options if that one doesn't work for you. Can you go to a different doctor? Find someone more proactive?

spinningirl10 · 08/04/2015 18:49

I need to catch up but just wanted to tell Sparkly......I poasHmm of course it was a bfn. Why did I do this? So stupid!!

Butterchunks · 08/04/2015 18:52

Nomio Cheers me dears, I hope we are both with child very soon! I've just done the whole changing GPs after moving house thing too. I love the NHS but am surprised sometimes at how nonsensical things are sometimes, the whole medical record thing for example. I have to go get some blood tests this week because the results from ones I had at my last Gps (less than 2 months ago) can not be viewed at new place. I hope once your new place has all your notes you can get things moving.

nightandthelight · 08/04/2015 18:52

Spinning no is twerly! Are you not due on Sunday like me?

MelonMelon · 08/04/2015 18:56

Warning.....don't watch one born every minute if you haven't already....Last night's episode was all about 'accidental' pregnancies.......Hmm

DizzyMerry · 08/04/2015 19:03

I've been baby bombed at dsis's house by her neighbour and I didn't feel a thing!!! I know rationally it will always happen as someone or the other will get preg but this time it just didn't bother me...give me time!!!

spinningirl10 · 08/04/2015 19:04

Night, yes but I'm 11dpo so I think it's conclusive, and it was a frer!

spinningirl10 · 08/04/2015 19:05

I really will catch up shortly, I need to shower, green feet after cutting the grassGrin

mrsb0710 · 08/04/2015 19:05

Just asked DH to stop.on the way home and buy morebeer. It's been one of those months already!

sparkly have you had any formal investigations into the spotting? Its on my list for questions to the GP, but I'm worried they'll just brush me off.

Also, I need to check my erpc discharge notes. Not sure if they did any tests then. Not that I particularly want to look at those.

Thanks goodness the sun is shining more. I think it helps make things feel brighter.

purdey how's your butt today??

Better go check my roast potatoes...i can smell them burning

nomio sometimes notes can take quite a while to come over, depends on if it's electronic or not. You can ask for them from your previous doctor, but it can cost up to £70

nightandthelight · 08/04/2015 19:06

Sorry spinning :( am so confused, I thought that accurate results weren't possible at this point? Am I holding out on testing for no reason?
