Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Arghhh my temperature has now dropped to just above my cover line. Every morning it's dropping further now. I'm out for sure. How sad Hmm I better prepare the stock cupboard as once again I have no AF stock thinking that this month would be my month!!! Confused Ava you were right....at least the madness of temping prepares you for the bad news!!!

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 05:44

So I caved. 10dpo. Bfn. I just needed to know for sure. Now I can prepare for AF and stock up on wine because my gut feeling is it hasn't worked this month. I wonder when AF will show. Most likely Saturday morning when I'm surrounded by pregnant ladies!!!! Confused I think this may be the first month I've made it to 10dpo?! There's something positive!

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 05:48

Btw I tested from a superdrug twin pack. Didn't waste my 3x cb sticks Wink

Onecurrantbun · 27/05/2015 07:34

Haha, Ava, i read that as "booked a hot night". All this sexing has made me a right perv!
I hope your holiday is ruined by you being a) massively pregnant or b) struggling to get any sleep with a newborn

Onecurrantbun · 27/05/2015 07:42

Pear that's where you're going wrong... you need to stock up on the ole tampons to tempt fate a bit!

Sorry for af. I'm at work today so could send you a virtual ice cream sundae?

waxweasel · 27/05/2015 08:42

Sorry pear. I reckon I'm out too. Haven't POAS since Monday, but mainly because if I don't I can still keep pretending it could have happened! No symptoms at all though. AF could have been due anytime from last Sat to next Tuesday by my stupid cycles! Might test again tomorrow and then rule myself out entirely. Am planning to console myself with a mega Amazon order of TTC stuff along with DD's birthday presents :)

Ava, I too hope your holiday is ruined by a newborn/pregnancy! And dont worry about the bedtime feed (lovely idea about the book though!). All the advice I've read from la leche league/kellymom says to remove one feed at a time at a fairly slow pace, and that the bedtime feed is often the last to go. So you've already made absolutely huge progress by replacing 3 feeds in one day yesterday!

AvaAmulet · 27/05/2015 09:43

Haha! OneCurrant! Grin

Thanks Wax Smile DD doesnt have a structured feeding schedule, it's just as and when. If we'd been out all day yesterday she wouldnt have asked for boob. I'm at work until this evening, so it'll probably be just 2 feeds today and tomorrow, and if we go out all day on Friday I'm hoping we'll do well then too... Feeling positive about weaning all together now, its definitely time.... Wink

AF has just arrived Sad Sad Sad I started to have a little cry but pulled myself together as I'm at work. I allowed myself to be cautiousy optimistic this morning too Hmm

I too need to stock up on products and more ic opks now.....was holding off in naivity hope.... sucks....Sad

Bet I've tempted fate booking the hol and I'll be due around then Hmm

autonomousplum · 27/05/2015 10:02

ava noooo-oooo! I was so certain! Gutted for you! Really really gutted. Flowers

AvaAmulet · 27/05/2015 10:13

Thanks Auto. Think I might shed a little tear later Sad

Getting me through today is the thought of arriving home and DD running into my arms Smile

I keep trying to remind myself that everything happens for a reason and will work out for the best, but, like I said last cycle, it is becoming draining now. I'm trying to hold onto the positives of a larger age gap. Aside from all this undivided attention DD currently has, the only other positive I can think of is that we likely wont have the expense of 2 DC's in uni at the same time...

I know I am already sooo lucky to have one bright, beautiful and happy DC so I shouldn't complain, but still....

Leamice · 27/05/2015 11:39

Sorry Ava Flowers

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 14:15

Oh Ava Confused Hmm I'm so sorry. I know and share your frustration too well Thanks It really looked hopeful for us both! You've inspired me to focus on loosing some weight instead of putting all my energy into TTC. I'm normally overweight (size 10) but I have put on at the thighs and I have more like.size 12 cake bottom ?? Anyway, this morning I decided to let go and focus on something else other then feeling like I'm a baby making failure all the time ?? Saying all this when my AF arrives I'mgoing to be a balling mess so please remind me to get a grip and stay away from cake ?? In the meantime stay strong, keep on going with your Amazing weight loss and enjoy your gorgeous daughter because soon we will be fat and waddling behind ??

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 14:17

That should say "I'm not overly overweight" lol

autonomousplum · 27/05/2015 15:01

pear hold on. She might never come! At least one of us should get a bfp now! I'm 7dpo and if af comes tomorrow would have equalled my longest lp of seven days. If she doesn't I'm hoping that the progesterone worked or I'm upduffed. Am not holding out hope due to temp drops, but I've been scouring ff charts and there are loads of awful awful looking charts that resulted in pregnancy so who knows.
Eat the cake. It's what I would do. Grin

AvaAmulet · 27/05/2015 15:13

Thanks Lea x

Good luck to both of you, Auto and Pear Flowers

And anyone else in the 2ww, hope you get what you hope for at the end of it x

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 16:16

Oh thanks Ava. Don't worry though...I'll be joining you in a couple of days . I've got the usual tiredness and hunger that comes before AF and I just KNOW with my temps it's not my month. The warning signs is helping me work through the anger before she arrives Smile Now I just need to gently warn DH eek Hmm

waxweasel · 27/05/2015 16:31

Sorry Ava :( I'm also out of the game this month - AF has arrived for me today too. So on the plus side, we are now exactly in sync for seeing the next cycle through together! Fingers crossed we both get a happy ending this time :)

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 16:36

Sorry wax. Sad news for you both today ThanksWine

Trinpy · 27/05/2015 16:53

Sorry it wasn't your month Ava.

Good luck to pear and auto.

I'm not having a very good day. I had a total of 5 hours sleep last night thanks to ds. He's just not sleeping recently and Dh and I are like zombies atm we're so tired. Breastfeeding has just been adding to the stress. He's dropped all feeds now except for once or twice during the night and I'm seriously considering stopping altogether now. I wanted to keep going until around 18mnths-2 years but in the last couple of weeks I've just become so stressed with it. Feeling really crap about it all today Sad.

AvaAmulet · 27/05/2015 17:23

Sorry you're having a tough time, Trin, over-tiredness is the worst Flowers

Sorry AF has shown up for you too, Wax. Crazy that we'll be in sync though Shock Smile Will you be tracking your temps or just poas or both? I have a love/hate relationship with temping, but I should put more trust into it Hmm

Right, got my game face on - dont want DD to suspect I'm feeling down.

Onwards and upwards, ic opks ordered online. Today is the start of a new cycle, time to rally and make the best of it -

I'm 4lbs lighter than I was last cycle (only 4 more to go to be back to my lightest pre & post-pg weight, yay!)

I've started the weaning altogether process, which should help to increase my progesterone levels in the later half of this cycle

I have, hopefully, increased my LP by 2 days Wink

Can't promise I'll remain this positive into the wee hours after DDs fallen asleep but I'm certainly better than I was this morning Wink x

waxweasel · 27/05/2015 18:06

Positive thinking Ava :) you have one beautiful baby - you know your body can do it, and it will do it again. And this cycle is already different and better for all the reasons you listed - just think how much the weaning process will have helped you along by the time you hit your dtd window :) and I am just the other end of a PM anytime you want to vent - I'm so glad to have a ttc AND weaning buddy to keep me company this cycle! I shall be POAS (just got some clearblue ones off Amazon), would be up for temping but dont have the first clue! Is there any easy guide anywhere?

Trinpy, I feel for you - sleep deprivation and multiple night wakings is so tough. There's no perfect age to wean, and if now is the right time for you and your family (and your mental health!) then do it. You've done brilliantly to go on this long - your LO is one of the lucky ones :)

Good luck to you, auto and pear and anyone else still in the 2ww!

peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 18:20

Waxweasel, you need a cheap bbt thermometer (eBay or Amazon) and sign up Fertility Friend or download the Mydays app. Personally I think the Fertility Friend app is more accurate because it works out your cover line and tells you when you've ovulated and even how many dpo you're on. You gets lots of analysis information on the first month and then you have to pay if you want the extras the following months (which you won't).

waxweasel · 27/05/2015 18:46

Thanks pear! Stupid question...am guessing a bbt thermometer isnt the same as my toddler's braun ear thermometer?

autonomousplum · 27/05/2015 18:57

Thanks guys. Good work on that list too! :)
I just use the Braun. You can buy a bbt but it really isn't the end of the world. Would just be good if you knew it worked. :)

waxweasel · 27/05/2015 19:43

Fabulous :) and do I temp the whole cycle? What time of day/how many times a day? Sorry for all the questions....
