Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Easter Smile

Sorry about your bfn Wax, I always tell myself I'll wait until I'm a week late, then closer to the time I decide I shall poas the day AF is due, but a few days before I get a bit manic and feel compelled to stupidly poas that early... I'm glad we're all the same on here, makes me feel 'normal' Blush Grin

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 05:43

Ava - hope you had a good party and were able to let your hair down a bit!

I've had a terrible nights sleep Hmm Waking every 2 hours to see if it's time to take my temperature!

Mumofone! Don't be too harsh on yourself. It is mega frustrating and I always feel that way at the start of the cycle now. There is light as when you hit OV it quickly changes your mood Smile I find anyway! Hang in there Smile

Onecurrantbun · 24/05/2015 05:50

mumof1 of course you can have a moan! Ttc is a soul destroying and all-consuming process. Feeling a bit down is all par for the course. Plus telling your online friends is often easier than telling people in real life, isn't it? I hope you're not here too much longer Flowers

Peardrop boo for long cycles, mine are usually 32-35 days however the plus side is our midwife uses LMP to calculate edd so with dd2 I ended up with an 11 week scan plus a 12 week one... nice to remember for when we get our bfp!

Good luck with dropping the feed Mary ... normal bra ahoy!

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 05:51

I've got 3 pregnancy tests from the CB trial. It will help me be controlled as I don't want to spend any more money on TTC. I'll be testing on CD12. A little awkward as I have my mother staying that day!! That will be cycle day 27 which feels odd because I've not had a cycle less then 31 days in the last 9 months but I'm figuring that by dpo 12 I should have a result!

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 05:53

Ooooo OneCurrent that's a good idea!! Last time I just told my midwife my OV date but you're right...pretending that I don't know would get me an early scan WinkGrin

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 05:54

Actually it wouldn't this time because it looks like I'm going to have a normal length cycle. Nutter!

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 05:58

Just worked it out and by giving the midwife my AF date and not my OV date it buys me one day less for waiting for a scan lol

Right, back to the real world Smile

Trinpy · 24/05/2015 07:08

Haven't been on here for a for few days so I've just been catching up - congratulations on the bfps ruth, sparkles and mary!!!

I'm on cd28 and I think I may ovulate today! positive opk yesterday and all other signs looking good. Dtd yesterday so my timings are spot on. fx it all works out!

Mumof1sofar · 24/05/2015 08:55

Thanks ladies for cheering me up Smile I just need to get back into the swing of it this cycle! Going to start dtd marathon today/tomorrow as last month I didn't get any flashing smileys so I want to be prepared for ov at any time. It does seem like loads of people I know have suddenly announced pregnancies... I'm happy for them... But a bit EnvyEnvyEnvy Hopefully we will all get our bfps soon SmileSmile

waxweasel · 24/05/2015 09:35

Oh mumof1, sorry you're feeling down - completely understandable. I have my fX for you that you get your bfp soon. You other ladies too.

I have decided to give up on this cycle to avoid disappointment (I've also been chowing down on sushi, rare meat, blue cheese and booze pear, so I'm being worse than you!) and am plnning for next month instead. I've calculted that our dtd window willbe exactly over the few days where we are packing, moving house and unpacking. Aaaaaargh! At least there'll be plenty to keep my busy during the 2ww :)

Btw what ovulation sticks are all of you using with this 'flashing smiley'?

autonomousplum · 24/05/2015 10:13

ducks in waves ducks out Smile

AvaAmulet · 24/05/2015 10:33

Wax, the clear blue advanced digital opks have flashing smileys. I used CB opks for a few months but I think my cycles were anovulatory and the results were so confusing it wasn't worth the expense so I started using the internet cheapie (ic) opks instead Wink

Pear, the party was a bit of a let down tbh. I skipped dinner to indulge in eat a bit of buffet food but by the time we left get DD home to bed they still hadn't unwrapped the food Shock I was starving so we stopped at a Subway on the way home Blush a 6 inch veggie delite is only 200 odd calories so DD stayed in the car with DH and I popped in alone. Got chatting to the very sweet guy serving - we bonded over the joys of dieting lol, and as I was leaving he said he'd have asked for my number if I wasn't married! Haha! Shock Grin Worth spending so much time over my hair and make up lol! Wink

MarysPrayer · 24/05/2015 11:22

Mumo sorry you're feeling down. The first few cycle days are always so hard. I hope you can get through them and you start to feel more positive very soon. I agree with the comments about you being so supportive on here Thanks

Ava great work! Didn't you also get asked for ID the other week? You must be a bit of a babe!

Thanks for all the messages since I last logged on. Dd didn't feed this morning so it's all going to plan. so far.. .

Leamice · 24/05/2015 11:52

Sorry you're feeling down Mumo, totally fine and normal to feel like that every now and again. I agree with the others you are such a great positive force on here, thank you Flowers

Ava, did you tell your DH about his new competition or return to the car with a big unexplained grin? haha!

Trin Fingers crossed for Ov today!

Wax, Sorry for BFN, fingers crossed the next test you take will be a BFP

I'm beginning to think I should give up TTC for a while as I really have to lose some weight so started a stupid diet that's meal replacements, don't think it'll be healthy to conceive whilst doing (though who am I kidding? not like it will happen anyway!) Though I did get a delivery of more cheap OPKs and HPTs, I obviously just missed peeing on things daily!
Today OPK + , HPT BFN. I was sure I was about to get AF last week but never showed so I'm guessing I didn't ovulate after all.... crazy cycle continues!

AvaAmulet · 24/05/2015 11:55

Aww Mary, that's so funny, definitely would not say that! I was on my way out the door when he called after me and I spun around, so shocked, my face was like, "huh?!" for a few moments while I processed what the guy had said, not a good look, all in full view of the CCTV camera too Blush Hmm

My first thought was "er, I think I'm a bit old for you too!" but I kept that to myself lol Wink

So glad it's all going to plan, Mary, so pleased for you Grin x

AvaAmulet · 24/05/2015 12:05

Lea, I told DH straight away - with a big grin on my face Grin he wasn't that bothered about it tbh as he knows I'd never do anything (he's right) but oh, to be that secure, eh?! Confused x

Sorry you're feeling down too, Lea, we all get like that at some point (ttc when it's just confusing/not happening sucks) Flowers x

Onecurrantbun · 24/05/2015 12:42

Yay ava it is always nice to get such a compliment, but like you my husband's never bothered at all! Maybe its a good sign and you're giving off magic hormonal pheromones to go with your gorgeous hair and dress too

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 14:15

Ava - don't forget to share your magical hormones around Wink If that subway guy knew about all your baby desires...ha ha! Probably why your husband felt smugly secure Wink

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 14:17

Lea - you should give up on TTC...apparently that's when it happens to so many...so I keep hearing Wink I'm sure you could loose weight and conceive at the same time!

AvaAmulet · 24/05/2015 14:31

Glad it's not just my man who doesn't seem to mind - I'd find it so hard to be as rational as DH if it was another woman who had said that to him Hmm Lol about the pheromones! Yikes! Grin x

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 17:11

DH just very gently broke the news to me that a couple we know very well are expecting Sad She bf dc1 until 18 months. Her dc is now 3.5 months. I would generally be happy for her but apparently it only took the once Angry I know...I should be happy!!!! It's getting tough Blush

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 17:13

Makes me want to go and POAS Grin Step away pear...don't do it Smile

AvaAmulet · 24/05/2015 17:56

Sorry Pear, it's so tough, isn't it? Sad you wish them well but still you're thinking shouting in your head "when will it be my turn?!" Sad

I'd tell you not to poas too early, but who am I to talk?! I have zero willpower where that's concerned Grin Blush

Similarly, I also seem to have lost (some of) my willpower where food is concerned today... Had to have carrot cake for dessert Blush it was yummy Blush But it's not the start of a slippery slope though, I don't intend to completely mess up all my good work, I just think it's further confirmation of the imminent arrival of AF (well, tomorrow) Hmm x

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 18:44

Ahh Ava that's exactly how I feel Smile DH seems pretty down about it too this time. The weird thing is the first time I was TTC I was madly jealous when they announced their 1st pregnancy because it happened after dtd once for them and then I finally fell pregnant 3 months later which wasn't that bad. However, I don't want to wait another 3 months this time when I've been trying for so long (longer then last time) and it just happens first time for them both times ConfusedHmmConfused

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 18:46

Ava I'm glad you treated yourself...sometimes you just need a treat before you start over indulging. I am not doing at all well on that front this week. Does not help that I've been indulging in ds birthday cake BlushShock
